hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

FX for you too Vegas, I must say it sounds really hopeful for you, you seem to have lots of symptoms and the feeling too. I have a good feeling about this!!!!

I am now wondering if I've done the right thing testing so early (probably not, I admit). Am still reticent about it, and not overly hopeful/excited so will be hanging around here for a while yet.....

I need some advice, have had a heavy feeling in the base of my tummy all day and for some of yesterday too, I reckon I must be 7dpo, not bleeding, am I wrong to get my hopes up that it might be implantation? It doesnt feel quite like when I am coming onto my period though, that is generally sore a little higher up.

My boobs dont feel much bigger (although they are fairly big anyway) and they are a little tender but not too sore to touch, just tender deep inside them - sorry guys, possibly TMI, but wanted some advice :)

Am going to order some early tests with the shopping this week and test on Monday or Tuesday just on the off chance that we are lucky this month Wink

Anyway, welcome aboard Karbea, I would agree that you shouldnt worry too much about what you should and shouldnt eat before you get your BFP, after my mother was pregnant with me in the seventies and there wasnt any of this advice around and I turned out fairly okay :)

Congrats Wombat, fingers crossed for you Daisy, Bumps and Vegas and sorry that AF got you Jaggy

btw you can preview your message, but I never bother, the spelling mistakes can be interesting sometimes :D

EnglishCountryGirl · 06/01/2011 22:12

Congrats Wombat and good luck Daisy, Bumps and Vegas.

I'm now on the tww for the second time this bus! According to FF I ovulated on the 4th and we managed to have lots of SWI thanks to the bank holiday weekend, but I think DH was a bit exhausted by the end so it may be that we peaked too early! Blush

Had really sore boobs yesterday and today, but today I also have really bad cramp on my right side near my ovary. Has anyone else experienced that? I had a positive OPK on Sun and first high temp on Tue, so pretty sure it's not late ovulation causing it, but is there any other explanation?

Bumpsadaisie · 07/01/2011 06:26

Well I tested with FMU and no luck sadly - at least for the moment. If I'm not pregnant not sure what is going on with my cycle - this is day 35! Good luck to others testing xx

TwoJackRussellsdefrosting · 07/01/2011 06:53

English, sounds like you have similar cramping to me, 'fraid it could be your period coming on early but it could be implantation occuring, if your temps are still up this might be your month!!!

Hopefully something will happen soon for you Bumps, sounds really frustrating waiting all this time!!!

Daisybell1 · 07/01/2011 08:59

Right, so the thing is....

Tested yesterday afternoon on 13dpo. According to test instructions: read test after 5 mins but within 30. If a line doesn't appear within 5 mins but does within 30 then its positive.

So, having POAS there was no line within 5mins but there was a faint one within 30 (as luckily I'd posted on here the initial result so I knew the time!), suggesting a BFP....

Am still not convinced that it wasn't an evap line (although it was in exactly the same place/dimensions as a BFP)....

So, am now completely Confused

Will test again tomorrow am with FMU,

FX its a BFP, OH is completely over excited

Bumpsadaisie · 07/01/2011 09:27

Daisy ... I think you might be ... Smile

Fingers x'd!

I'm in a bit of a limbo here - I suppose it is possible that I am only 12/13 DPO and there isnt enough hormone ... I've been assuming I ovulated on the day I got a smiley face on the OPK but it could have been 48 hrs later I guess ...

Or more likely, that my cycle is just unusually long this time and AF is on her way. Perhaps something did get off the ground at ovulation time but it didn't work? Maybe that would explain why period unusually late?

Ah the conundrums! Im pretty disappointed actually, think I want another one more than I'll admit!

Good luck all xx

Karbea · 07/01/2011 09:41

TwoJackRussellsdefrosting very excited to see my name on the list (easily pleased) Smile

But what is UCL?

Very heavy boobs today and yesterday but suspect that's my body teasing me, guess i'll be more aware of "feelings" now i'm looking out for them

xx

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 09:52

Bumps argh - how frustrating! You can't necessarily count ov day as the day you got your :) though as you say, so you might only be 10dpo and too early to show?!

Daisy another one keeping us in suspense! good luck for tomorrow morning (can't believe you had enough self restraint not to POAS again this morning!!). Let us know!

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 09:53

Karbea UCL is usual cycle length - the number of days from first day of bleeding until first day of bleeding for your next AF.

Karbea · 07/01/2011 09:59

Ooooo!!! Smile I will get the hang of this I promise!

Ok, well mine is 25 then.

xx

Daisybell1 · 07/01/2011 10:03

The problem is that I've still got 3 or 4 days till AF is due, and the line was so faint that I didn't think it would get any darker overnight.....

I also didn't want to deal with the disappointment of it being a BFN and then being in work all day Sad

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 10:30

That's fair enough Daisy and very sensible. I wish I had your good sense!

Bumpsadaisie · 07/01/2011 10:33

Wombat - got a smiley face on 23rd dec, did the deed same night. So even if I ov'd on 25th, that still makes me 13 dpo today, so am not hopeful.

Tho where Af is remains unexplained! The "pee on a stick site does say that it can take up to 16 dpo to get a positive ... Not getting too hopeful though!

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 10:52

Hmm, I'll keep everything crossed for you Bumps nevertheless!

Daisybell1 · 07/01/2011 12:03

No good sense here Wombat, its just the OH was so Grin last night that I don't want to upset him by it being BFN.

If it is BFN tomorrow then at least I can help out with his work, and we can spend the day together rather than today when I had to come away to work and him be Sad all day at the farm.

Am soooo tempted to go out and buy a first response one, or another equally flash one though Blush as I just used a Predictor one yesterday....

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 12:24

Daisy if you're going to hold out for tomorrow the least you can do is treat yourself to a flashy test (remember I'm an addict and my views are to be taken with a pinch of salt Grin )

Daisybell1 · 07/01/2011 12:49

Wombat I am ashamed. I am out of control. I have absolutely no idea how the box of Asda cheapie tests made it into my hand and through the till Shock The next thing I knew I was POAS. On a cheapie too! I am a disgrace Blush

However I got a BFP straight away!!!! Its pale but definitely appeared within 30 secs Grin

Oh. My. God.

Bumpsadaisie · 07/01/2011 12:54

Hooray Daisy - great news! I thought you were .... Grin

dualta · 07/01/2011 12:57

hi everyone
daisybell good luck with the test! I have already caved and tested at 8dpo with first response. Can i just have a little rant about the COST of the tests! 12 quid for clear blue digital! And yet so tempting to test every day! Does MN have a campaign about this someones making a fortune. Anyway obv have BFN but still hopeful for a change in the weather, very hard to concentrate in work. I know what they mean about the 2ww now! :)

dualta · 07/01/2011 12:59

daisybell i don't know how i missed your post congratulations! (mn not working so well on my phone). Congrats!
