Hello exciteddotcom nice to see you! I wonder if you'd be better on the September Baby Bus thread on the pregnancy page? All of us here are still trying, and the lucky ladies who have got their positive tests have moved onto that thread. Of course, we're all very nice and you are very welcome but you might get more help and useful info over there!

To answer your question though I guess everyone is different. DH and I got married at Easter and are in our mid-30s and I reckon is pretty obvious to anyone who knows us that we'd be trying for a baby just now. (To the extent that there is barely a week goes by without someone insinuating that we might be pregnant already...tough when you've been trying for 10 months) So, I think we'd tell parents, siblings and close friends fairly early on - anyone who we'd want to know if we had anything go wrong. Otherwise I think we'd wait till the 12week scan.

Finger crossed I have that dilema soon!!

Pinkapple, apologies for my answer, it's a generally friendly bus, you are more than welcome to join in and I promise that I'll be much nicer in future!

I got my +ve opk on 28th or 29th dec and to be honest my poor DH has had to get busy to to say every day since 27th, have been taking full advantage for us being off work this month as it coincided perfectly, but last night he basically said that I had worn him out, so have to give him a break for a while, I think if this is our month then I should have timed it right and there is nowt that I can do now, just waiting for AF on 14th, hopefully she wont show up!!!

It is so nice to have people to talk to about this, I have been honest that we have been trying without any luck, it's stopped those akward questions, so far anyway :)

Hi everyone. I am starting to wear DH out I think, this morning I could tell he was a bit less eager if you know what I mean. Eeek, maybe we peaked too soon!

Not done my OPK for the day, hoping it is +ve, will update you all in a few hours!! It has been much easier to get through the SWI period whilst we are both off work.

pinkapple I think you are assuming we all live in England? Doesn't apply to me. Anyway once you have been TTC a while, like others have said, you don't give a hoot when you conceive as long as you do. I actually delayed TTC by a month as thought I didn't want a baby with a birthday around Xmas/ New Year as have a brother who has his birthday on 27 Dec and he has moaned about it all his life. Now I just laugh at my naive self back then to think it was completely in my hands!!

I know what you mean, we delayed starting ttc until we were married as my parents are very traditional, which probably wax have been fine had it been up to me, started Clomid in December so fingers crossed am due a visit from AF on Friday! Or not hopefully :-)

Just to add a final think MrsHende DH has just said that I must be going on MN to be all secretive and I should be able to tell him everything! Gah they are so contrary - I despair! Anyway, hope all goes well tonight - or it's already gone well... what are bank holidays for after all

MrsHende I have progressively shared more with DH as we have gone on like Teds. Last week he came in the door with the shopping and I was in and met him at the door. He sais ?let me get undressed and I will take this stuff to the kitchen? meaning take all his winter layers and muddy boots of etc. I said (jokingly) ?ooh, are you getting naked? and he said with a completely serious face ?should I? Is it baby time??. Made me laugh but also worry a bit this is all becomimng a bit clinical!!

Maybe tomorrow will be your day raven? You could to give DH a break tonight and ravish afresh tomorrow? I think the ovi sticks give a positive between 24 and 36 hours before ovulation so you should have some warning before operation seduction starts again?!?

raven same advice goes to you too - and remember that those OPK don't always show something, I've read about a fair number of MNetters who had a cycle with no +OPK stick and that was the cycle that they were successful. FX

Fingers crossed for wombat and knitter, let us know how you get on? I'm still waiting here, got ten days left till I can start POAS, although there was plenty of SWI around the right time, so hoping that I might be lucky this month....

Raven, have you been using ovi sticks before? I only had one day that I think I got my surge, the day before and after the line was defiently paler than the test line. I've read on other threads that it was really easy to miss the surge, but there was still a BFP at the end of the month, so you never know, lets hope its your month too.
