hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

tutormummy · 14/12/2010 21:33

Thanks for the add TwoJackRussells! I might be up next - or I might be last.. who knows...

MrsHende it sounds promising - well done for having the restraint to wait 12 hours!

mslk · 14/12/2010 22:13

Good luck MrsHende

Hi to all the new passengers. Good luck to everyone, hope we get some BFP's soon.

I'm SWI and waiting for +opk and EWCM - hope it comes soon.

EnglishCountryGirl · 14/12/2010 23:02

Not looking positive for me - starting to feel like AF might be around the corner, although I still won't know for sure for a few days.

Ah well, can't be helped - fingers crossed for everyone else on the bus!

Hopefully see some BFPs soon!

MrsHende · 15/12/2010 07:35

Fingers crossed that you're wrong English Country Girl.

Another BFN this morning. Not a surprise really but it's never not disappointing.

I'm now on day 35 of my cycle. Last month AF arrived on day 25! Does anyone else have such an irregular cycle?

Gobolino · 15/12/2010 09:03

Morning MrsHende, mine varies between 28 and 33 days and I never know exactly when it will arrive. Fingers crossed you get a BFP soon and it's just not showing yet.

We've been SWI all week and I got a positive OPK stick yesterday, so hopefully we've done enough but who knows, it's only month 2.

This is probably a bit TMI for first thing on a Weds morning Blush but can anyone tell me what I'm supposed to do about the fact that almost the minute we've finished SWI everything... ahem... falls straight back out again?! I mean, is it's work done after a few minutes or should I try and keep it up there a bit longer by sticking my legs up in the air or something?

I suppose what I'm asking is, do you guys do anything different when you're SWI now that you're TTC? blushes furiously and runs away

arabella36 · 15/12/2010 10:31

Hi Gobolino, don't worry, some of the "swimmers" will have arrived in the right place. After all it only takes 1!!
Some people put their legs in the air for a few mins, or pillow under hips - you hear lots of funny techniques on mums net, hee hee

TwoJackRussellslostinthesnow · 15/12/2010 18:07

Evening all,

Goblino, we often SWI at night and then lay around for a bit, doing the cuddling thing, which is always nice anyway Xmas Grin.

Way TMI now, but I'd also make sure that after your OH is done he makes sure that you orgasam (spelling?) cos that should be good for getting them little boys where they should be going, plus its darn good fun too!!

Anyway, hope it helps and wasnt too much....

broodycoilsout · 15/12/2010 18:37

TMI ALERT

and Xmas Blush alert

k, i may sound wrong saying this but....receently my dh has had this thing where he tries (and succeeds) in making sex last longer, i dont like it quick as then no time 2 orgasm, but......as soon as im about to he'll change position or something, or keep going 2 try get me 2 orgasm again-which wen its all wet in there after the 1st time idoesnt come easily....do u think i should carry on and not say anything as i know hes doing it 2 try and please me, or any ideas for ways 2 break it 2 him gently-i dont want it 2 go on all night!

chocolatebuttontheif · 15/12/2010 19:38

Gobolino have sex with pillows under your bum, feels good too! Wink

Tamashii · 15/12/2010 20:29

WHOAH broodycoildsout U have one attentive DH there! Know what u mean about not wanting it to go on all night tho Xmas Wink

We SWOI (hadn't even started peeing on OPK sticks) but I thought I would test the next day and I had strong positive that faded in the evening. Should I even be mildy excited this month since we never got round to SWI since DP was away the next 2 nights after... I've read that sperm can live up to 72 hrs waiting for the egg to pop out but I have also read it's realistically(sp?) only 2 hrs Shock so I'm just wasting my time symptom spotting this month.

I ashamedly have already POAS BFN of course as I am only 6 DPO anyway but I just could not resist. Why is is so difficult!?! I thought being on here would STOP me POAS but there you go.

Anyway, good luck to you all again and I really hope we get BFPs asap! Xmas Grin

arabella36 · 15/12/2010 21:13

Hi tamashii, sounds like you've SWI at exactly the right time, so fingers crossed that you'll get the result you wantSmile

Tamashii · 15/12/2010 21:15

Really?!? I thought it had to be ON the day you get OPK+ then a couple of days after the OPK+ so since we did it the day before the OPK+ I've no chance!!!

Yay. I'm off to do some more 2ww symptom spotting then! Xmas Grin

arabella36 · 15/12/2010 21:18

Your're most likely to conceive if you SWI in the couple of days prior to ovulation as then the sperm will be in the right place and waiting when the egg arrives. The sperm last a lot longer than the egg.

Tamashii · 15/12/2010 21:52

I have found this link www.countdowntopregnancy.com/earlypregnancysymptoms/chart_dpo.php?dpo=6 to show what some women have felt symptomwise on their 2WW.

It's just for fun really to try and pass the time until it's properly time to test. Don't know how accurate they are but it says "experienced by pregnant women" so I assume this means the women reporting these symptoms went on to have BFP...

Just in case you are interested :) Hope it doesn't prolong the agony of the 2WW...

tomatoplantproject · 16/12/2010 12:19

[sticks hand out]. Stop the bus please!

Is there space here for another one? Am hoping it's a lucky bus for all you lovely ladies (and a little bit selfishly for me too). AF hit me a couple of days ago and I?m sulking that I'm not pg so reckon I should come clean and we should actively start trying. DH is super enthusiastic - especially about the "trying" bit.

I've just worked out dates, and I'm going to be most fertile over Christmas and we're staying with the ?rents.... it's an old house where you can hear every squeak. We were laughing last night about my traditional old dad?s reaction in the morning Xmas Blush.

Any hints and tips gratefully received! I?ve tried to add my stats below ? hope I?ve done it right (I don?t have a degree in mumsnetting!)

TPP x

Tomatoplantproject TTC #1 UCL 24 AF due 7 Jan

mrsden · 16/12/2010 15:47

Hello,

Can I join you on this bus? I was on the August bump but fell off when AF come and I've been sulking ever since.

These are my stats:

mrsden TTC#1 cycle 6 AF due 6th Jan.

I have EWCM today so wish DH would hurry home! I haven't been drinking the grapefruit juice this month but I seem to have loads more EWCM this time than I did when I was drinking it last month. I'm very pleased about that because I hate grapefruit juice!

TTC#1 Cycle14(!) CD32 AF due 24 Dec

I'm getting bored now but mumsnet does help

TwoJackRussellslostinthesnow · 16/12/2010 20:06

Hey Level, you're already on this bus Xmas Grin

level · 17/12/2010 12:19

Oh yes, so I am. There are so many people that I couldn't see myself in the middle!

mslk · 17/12/2010 12:23

Afternoon ladies, hi new peeps.

Some of you seem to have very attentive OH's, lucky things. Had to pursued DH this morning to DTD, don't like to but needs must!!

Still not had a +ve OPK, first month of using them, but FF thinks I'll be OV today so maybe I missed the surge or FF is wrong. Or there's something up with me Xmas Sad

Will use the OPK's for a few more days and keep up the SWI and then I guess just wait and see.

Bumpsadaisie · 17/12/2010 12:25

Hello, could I hop on?

Bumpsadaisie, TTC#2, have DD aged 18 months, cycle 1, AF due 3 January.

(Is that right?)

Thanks!

MorayRose · 17/12/2010 12:36

I think I'm about to leave the bus. I've got all the usual symptoms so I think AF is about to make an apperance.

Roll on next month!

Gobolino · 17/12/2010 13:16

Just wanted to say thanks for all your replies - funny how TTC makes you question things that have never been an issue before! Smile

Gobolino · 17/12/2010 13:17

Moray it's not over till it's over that's what I say! Good luck.
