CONGRATS again saor, I am so chuffed for you! wahooooo!!

And everything crossed for you Mrs W I am hoping the next 2 weeks will fly by for you xx

garden that is definitely a symptom Grin... I feel like there is come good news coming for you, keep us informed of your symptoms!

Have a lovely afternoon everyone. I am waiting for a friend to come with her 2 little rascals. ..hoping it will make me grateful for my FERTD :)

xx

gardenpixie · 07/08/2010 13:07

MrsW sorry about your BFN - I had everything crossed for you! As you say though, nothing's certain yet so I'm sure there's a BFP just around the corner for you Smile

crazy I hope your friend's little people aren't too chaotic for you! I am usually relatively chilled on the 2ww normally but if it doesn't work out this time then I have to think about whether I want to start taking Clomid or not ... and I'm convinced it's going to turn me into a complete basket case. It is quite funny though as the possibility of me going loopy has made Mr Garden much more interested than usual in the outcome!

Big waves and hellos to everyone else Smile

TigerseyeMum · 07/08/2010 15:00

Congratulations Soar!

Though if those are symptoms I've been pregnant for years Hmm

My ovary pain has gone so I guess an egg fought its way down my much-manky tubes and has gone. Unless some vigorous swimmers made it up the tube and they shook hands (or whatever it is they do).

I hope everyone is having a good weekend and dodging the ERTD.

felicityFlick · 07/08/2010 16:47

Hi Loves, just quickly popping in to say huge congrats to saor! and sorry about your bfn mrs w,glad to hear you are ok though x x still on phone as at the pils and dont want to leave anything dodgy in the history- he he. I am lurking and thinking of you all and mormal posting should resume as of thurs :) News from the flick CBFM watch.... today i got a peak!yipee! Great timing as Mr.F is off back to HK a week ahead of me on Mon. thanks so much lucky, mrsw and cookie for your CBFM info. You are all wonderful to me x x big waves to all x

stegasaurus · 07/08/2010 17:27

Congratulations saor on your fantastic news.

Congratulatoins kaloki on your lovely rats. I have 4 pet rats and they are great pets.

Sorry MrsWajs about BFN. Fingers crossed for next time. I sort of see what you mean about getting used to it after a year. Sometimes I feel like that and some months I still feel really upset even after 16 months. I try hard not to expect BFP so I'm not surprised or too upset by the negative result. Doesn't always work though. There's always a tiny spark of hope each month.

highheelsandequations · 07/08/2010 17:51

Hi ladies, just back from holiday and need to read properly over the many pages you've chatted (you lot can't half talk!) over the last week but had to pop on to say big congratulations to soar, fantastic news :)

Sorry MrsWajs about the BFN, I know what you mean that you do kind of get used to it after a year sometimes but at other times it is still bloody hard. I always try and think that at least it's the start of a new cycle but as stegasaurus says, it's hard not to have that little spark of hope.

Going to try and catch up properly and say hello to everyone else later. In the mean time, happy Saturday to everyone and here's some sticky toffee pudding I brought home from the lakes for you to enjoy with some delicious pudding wine and ice cream!

Kaloki · 07/08/2010 20:18

stegosaurus Have you got boys or girls?

Sorry to hear about the BFN MrsW

highheels Mmmm sticky toffee! Grin

cookiemoo · 07/08/2010 21:01

Fertd got me today! Lp of 8 days, fabulous! I'm off to down a few bottles of beer!

alien06 · 08/08/2010 01:11

hey everyone :) How are you all? I had a lovely break in Dubai and am now back in miserable England lol but not for long as off back to Dubai on Tuesday with my family haha and leaving hubby at home to fend for himself.....

Anywho am awaiting ERTD to see if I can have a "normal" cycle length! trying not to get too worked up if I dont fall soon but hard as all my friends are having their babies in these next coming months...

womanlytales · 08/08/2010 08:10

Hi, why is it that I want to update the list when I only have access to my phone. Wish we cd go on fast forward mode to when we all have bfps. This particular journey is quite tough. Sorry about the bfp mrswajs - perhaps u can test in a week's time if possible. Am at a friend's place with her friend who's six months pregnant. She asked me if I was ttc and I was reluctant to get chatty about it...but learnt she has pcos, did od, xhadclomid, miscarriage twice along her journey..and she was very reassuring and gentle with me. Strangely I felt no envy when I saw her, perhaps I am progressing.
Lots of wine to those whose fertd has arrived. Baby dust to all.

CaveMum · 08/08/2010 08:53

Good morning to you all!

MrsWajs sorry to hear the test was negative.

womanly it is so nice to have someone to talk to about ttc with no pressure. That's why I love having pinklady around, I think we'll keep each other firmly grounded and it's great to have someone who understands how easy it is to get totally obsessed carried away with it all.

Big hugs to you my dear (((hugs)))!

Well despite the cramps on Friday there is still no sign of ERTD. Not sure what is going on but I guess I've just got to sit it out and wait.

The new car is lovely! So nice to have a shiny new-ish car! In the past I've always bought cars that are at least 7 years old!

The house viewing went well. It is a lovely house and certainly ticks all the boxes on paper.
As usual the photos from the estate agent were a teeny bit deceptive - some of the rooms and the garden are actually smaller than they look, but by no means small.

CaveMum · 08/08/2010 08:58

Damn it! Posted that message before I had finished!

Anyway, perhaps we didn't fall head over heels in love with the house, but we do really like it.
Our house is not ready to go on the Market yet so we're going to crack on and get it ready. If the other house is still on the Market when we are ready with ours then we will have another look and think about putting in an offer.

That is all from Cave world for now! Happy Sunday everyone!

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

Got to go and do some work Sad but thought I'd do the list before disappearing.

Have lovely Sundays everyone x

highheelsandequations · 08/08/2010 12:50

Okay think I have now caught up enough to post properly, hope you're all enjoying the pudding!

Hello and welcome to crazybutterfly, Tigerseyemum and JosieSmith, I'm quite new here too and everyone has been lovely to me :)

Alien hope you had a nice time in Dubai and enjoy it some more when you head back.

kkas glad you enjoyed the kitchin, I took DP there for his birthday last year and we had the 8 or 9 course tasting menu, it was absolutely gorgeous and I'm dying to go back sometime.

cookie sorry to hear about FERTD, have a cocktail on me

garden your posts have made me giggle and go you with the outdoor nookie :o

flick hope you managed to enjoy France despite the company and had a safe journey home

kaloki congratulations on the rats and also your wedding boots look gorgeous, not long to go now, you must be sooo excited!

cavemum glad you're enjoying the shiny new car and sorry the house wasn't everything you'd hoped. You have to make sure that you get the place you really want though, you don't know what could be available when you've got your place sorted and on the market, there could be something even better. I fell in love with a house looking at the pictures and we ended up with something completely different, but I'm very glad now that we waited and found our home.

halo it must have been absolutely fantastic seeing your little bean and the heartbeat at the scan. Hope you are both still well and I bet you're now counting the days till the next scan, I know I would be.

Hello to everyone else and sorry if I've missed anyone's important news.

We had a fabulous time in Edinburgh (gorgeous hotel, really nice food, lovely champagne and wine) and a nice time in the lakes. Unfortunately the cottage wasn't as nice as it had looked in the pictures and the weather wasn't brilliant but it was still good to get away and have some time together. When we're both at work I sometimes feel that we never even see each other.

This cycle my mission is to stay positive but I have to say that already I'm struggling. Have been taking my temperature every morning and waiting for the rise but so far it has not appeared, in fact my temperature dropped yesterday and is still low today, any thoughts from anyone who knows about this? Have been trying to check for EWCM but seems to have been much less obvious since starting the clomid, I've read that clomid can change your CM and so make conception difficult and am hoping this is not what's happening. A few days ago I was really hopeful and sure that this was our month, TMI alert we have been very good with the shagging this month (WOWOI)* and I think we have managed most days from CD8 Blush but now I've got it into my head that I'm not ovulating despite the clomid and feeling pretty desperate again. Starting to think that it will never happen for us. In a way I wish that someone would just say "this is impossible" and then I can just give up or start exploring other options. It's the constant waiting, tests, being given a little hope then more waiting and no luck and more tests and so on that I can't stand. I know as well that although it fees like forever 15 ish months isn't as long as some people wait and there is hope yet. Sorry, very me me me there. So much for staying positive. Someone slap me please?

*With Or WithOut Intent

Kaloki · 08/08/2010 13:20

Got the wedding boots - they wont go round my calves! So now I need to find pretty and unusual shoes for size 2 feet Hmm

gardenpixie · 08/08/2010 13:34

Highheels lovely to hear about your hols although am sorry the cottage wasn't as great as you'd thought it might be. Sounds like you had a lovely time away anyway!

So I could be TOTALLY wrong (wouldn't be the first time Blush) but I think your temp drops just before ovulation (something to do with a spike in oestrogen) and then rises afterwards with the increase in progesterone. So you might just be about to ov if you've noticed a drop?

Please someone biff me over the head with a large book on fertility monitoring if I've got that wrong!

Could I also ask how you're finding the clomid? I think I am going to start taking it on my next cycle - unless this month the al fresco nookie Blush Blush managed to get me knocked up - and am a bit concerned it's going to exacerbate my naturally high base level of moodiness! Also, are you being monitored to see if you are ov-ing? My consultant wants me to have a scan around CD12 to check whether the clomid is doing its thing or whether she needs to up the dose.

kaloki grrr Angry about the wedding boots. Is there a cunning way you could stretch them or anything? The pic of them looked so gorgeous!

Right then, I'm off to avoid getting back to work make some tea ...

gardenpixie · 08/08/2010 13:40

Highheels I have just been avoiding work checked the ovulation temperature thing and quick quick! Pester Mr HH! Some women do get a temperature drop for two days just before ov-ing ... grab him now and don't let him go until's he's got you up the duff!!!

Grin
highheelsandequations · 08/08/2010 14:34

oohh, I'm excited now garden, unfortunately MrHH is out but I will grab him as soon as he returns (he might be a little surprised!). Fingers crossed the al fresco has worked for you. If not I'd go for the clomid. I've had some terrible headaches and been very moody emotional but don't know if the clomid is to blame for the latter. On the first cycle I had a scan on CD10 to see whether anything was happening, nothing was so I had to go back the following week for a repeat scan (on CD17), this showed one mature follicle and thicker lining on the uterus. Can't remember the measurements but apparently this was exactly what they were looking for so was told it was likely I'd ovulate in the next couple of days so to go away and SWI for the next few days. If the scan had still not shown this apparently I would have had to go back the next week and repeat until they saw what they wanted, was very glad I only had to go twice as was staring to worry about having to miss so much work for all the appointments. Anyway, I then had to have blood taken on CD25, it should be taken 7 days after ovulation, to check progesterone. It was 27 (I think) and should have been over 30 but they thought the days might have been slightly out. The following cycle I didn't need the scans, my clinic say if they've seen the evidence one cycle that the clomid is working they don't need to check again but did get my progesterone levels checked, this time on CD21. Levels were 23 (I think) so again not over 30 but again told days might have been slightly out. This cycle I am again getting my blood taken, this time on CD23 and we shall see what the results are. When If we are unsuccessful with this round it's back to the clinic for further tests :( One positive about the clomid is that the two cycles I've had have been 32 and 28 days, which is a big relief after having cycles of 40-50 days (or more) before the tablets. Don't know if that helps, ask if you've any questions and I'll try to answer what I can!

gardenpixie · 08/08/2010 14:57

Thanks Highheels that's really helpful; I was a bit eeek about the whole thing when I first got the prescription but I'm now thinking that if there's a chance it will help, I should just go for it. And, frankly, Mr Garden should be used to me being utterly mardy by now ...

Good luck with Mr HH! I love it when they get all surprised at being jumped on Wink and I hope the baby fairies come out to play for you Smile

MrsWajs · 08/08/2010 15:02

Kaloki How have I missed the picture of the wedding boots?? I don't see a link! Bummer that they don't fit though! I have no suggestions of where to get little shoes either as I'm a pretty standard size 5!!

Still no FERTD in the Waj household.

OP posts:
gardenpixie · 08/08/2010 15:07

MrsWajs that is excellent news about the avoidance of FERTD! Hurrah!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 08/08/2010 15:24

grr, FERTD hit on Friday after teasing me with being 3 days late Angry back to square one then!
Was really starting to get my hopes up as we did everything right this month.

Think I need to update my stats:

IfAtFirstYouDon'tSuceed TTC#1, Cycle 5, UCL 29, CD3

Good luck to you all :)

highheelsandequations · 08/08/2010 15:29

Glad I could help garden

Forgot to say to Kaloki grr about the boots, and afraid I have no suggestions of places to look for small and unusual shoes.

MrsW no FERTD is a positive sign but I know what it's like to be kept waiting, thinking of you :)

highheelsandequations · 08/08/2010 15:31

Sorry about FERTD IfAtFirst, I've a nice bottle of wine here that you're welcome to share have.
