The 2WW Luxury Liner has officially set Sail and I was wondering what the other passengers were like?

Hello Ladies.....

Anyone else in the same Boat??

CD16 for me, OV'd (as far as I can tell) on CD14. Had the whole EWCM thing but am so obsessed with this TTC thing that I am (for my sins) using the CBFM and trying to get my head round temping - its like a full time job ATM.

So I'd say I am officially on the 2WW.....

Didn't particularly enjoy the last 2WW as it was my first month TTC so was totally convinced I was PG the day after I OV'd - silly cow - I had fabricated every symptom you could think of and was truly suffering - in my head!

So this time round I am determined to try and take it easy, hence the reason I am on a cirtual Cruise.

Would love to meet the other passengers and share 2WW stories, worries and joys. If you fancy it come aboard.....

Sounds good.

Well, baby dust (and sticky dust) to everyone!

StormBird · 13/08/2010 07:33

fingerscrossedgirl my advice to you would be to go to the docs as soon as possible. They suggest in all the leaflets etc. that the earlier the better and from my experiences the last time I was PG I would suggest the same.

Hope it all goes well for you hunny Smile

not a silly question, it was something I also wondered - one of those times I was trying to convince myself I was pregnant!

fingerscrossedgirl · 13/08/2010 10:21

Thanks storm and curious. I've phoned up and they've no appointments left today anyway, so I'll have to leave t till Monday and try again. I hate these daft bookings systems they've got.

MrsWajs · 14/08/2010 23:45

Hey girls,

Sorry I've been AWOL, finally got a BFP yesterday but strangely like you naiti & fingerscrossed it is very faint.
Retested again today and the line is fainetr - very worried that it isn't going to stick :( After all I am now on CD42 of a usual 32, really thought line would be stronger than it is.
I visited Drs yesterday as well (initially was going about lack of period & BFNs) but thought I should test before going and got BFP so technically as far as they're concerned I am pregnant and 5 weeks gone but I can't help panicking that it won't last.

naitimum · 15/08/2010 08:15

Hi everyone,
Hope you get some answers (preferably good ones) on Monday fingerscrossedgirl.
mrswajs, having read a LOT this week about faint positives, apparently it depends a lot on the individual strength of the test and even within a pack this can vary greatly. Please try not to worry too much, as someone else said to me on a different thread, for today you are pregnant, and that's wonderful news and hopefully everything will be fine. I've retested too and I'm pretty sure my line has got stronger, maybe stayed the same... not sure. I'm 5 weeks today. Good luck tho!

curiouselle · 15/08/2010 09:56

Think positive sticky thoughts girls! I am excited for you both. I never realised that there wasn't a 'oh my god I am pregnant moment', before I started this - stupid faint lines Hmm

I am 7dpo and didn't get jiggy with it on the day of ov, have noooo symptoms I can even faintly make up - but am still hoping - how sad! My friend made me get her first response and she is not due yet and also has no symptoms - what is it about this whole thing that makes you go mad! Confused

naitimum · 15/08/2010 10:45

sorry I'm shattered as my ds didn't sleep last night, I meant to say I'm pretty sure my line hasn't got stronger, just stayed the same.
Good luck tho!
Curious, I blame hormones!

StormBird · 15/08/2010 11:57

Hello everyone,

I'm on CD8 today so should OV in about 6days. Then I can get out of the boiler room (its hot hot hot down here)and back onto the Top Deck and join you all. I didn't walk the plank - this is my ship afterall LOL!!!

Congratulations MrsWajs This is excellent news. This seems to be a pretty lucky thread at the moment and I am so pleased.

I was thinking as it seems to be lucky maybe we should start posting our stats on here and we can name the graduates too?

I'll to a post directly after this with my stats and if your interested just copy and paste mine and add yours too. In order of Cycle day might be a good idea.

And for the graduates (if you want to) Add your name and the date of your BFP.

fingercrossegirl mrswajs & naitimum don't worry please try to stay positive and relaxed. Smile

Hope you are all doing well.

It's great to see that we are all similar ages trying to conceive our first and on similar cycles! Good luck everyone! What made you all decide that the time was right?

StormBird · 17/08/2010 13:31

Hi Crazydays Smile

I totally agree, can't believe we are all around the same age and the same cycle. Thats not to say that any one older or younger is not welcome - you are all more than welcome to join this thread.

My story so far is that we never really did decide to TTC. We found out we were PG at the beginning of March. I was 5 weeks. Totally unplanned and totally unexpected. Me and my DP have been together 4yrs and are still very much in love so although it was a shock we grew to be very excited about the prospect.

Then at 15weeks we discovered that our baby had a neural tube disorder called annencaphaly. Basically its like spinabifida but it occurs at the top of the headf and affects the skull and brain development. we were told that our baby was incompatible with life and was given the opportunity to go full term with the PG or terminate. We obviously decided to terminate. Not a decision we took lightly but we believe that this was the best one for our baby and ourselves (not to mention the rest of the family who were devastated).

We have decided to try this time not to replace what we've lost but because we have realsied we are totally ready and its what we both want. I have to say thought the urge to replace what we lost was unbearable to begin with. We have come to terms with thisngs now and are trying to take this TTC lark in our stride.

Thats my story.....it was a very sad start to creating our family but hopefully we can have a happy ending.

Stormbird That really is a very sad start Shock. Big hugs and fingers crossed that there will be no problems for you this time and a BFP this cycle!:)

StormBird · 17/08/2010 19:23

Thanks Crazydays - but what about you, what has made you decide to join the land of TTC? (and anyone else if you want to share)

Smile

Well my temp dropped quite considerably this morning and then this afternoon I got a positive OPK, I'm only on CD11. Confused I was using the CBFM but have decided to give it a miss this month as it can be quite spensive so trust my cycle to go all whoopsy daisy when I'm not using it for back up.

I normally OV around CD15/16 as far as I can tell so I'm not sure what this means. Plus I've only been temping a few weeks so still trying to get my head round it all.

Oh well DP is in for a lengthy old SWI sesh this cycle Grin

OP posts:
curiouselle · 17/08/2010 22:28

stormbird that is a sad beginning, I have my fingers crossed for you for this month, regardless of temps!

It is pretty amazing that we are all similar ages - fate! Smile

My story, well it is pretty standard, we have been married two and half years (together 7 and half) and both felt it was time! We talked about it over a few months and realised it is something we both really want - to be a family. Scary though eh?! Confused

StormBird · 18/08/2010 13:45

The Graduates:

MrsWajs age 27 - BFP 13 August
naitimum age 31 - BFP 8 August

Thought I'd do the stats - it would help if I could get mine right for once. Turns out I'm actually CD13 (as of FF) but thought I was CD12. Never mind.

Well did some BDing last night just in case, DP didn't need much persuading. I've been using some cheapie internet OPK's and was damn sure it came up positive last night then this morning got the same result on another one. Only thing is when I've read the destructions a negative and a positive can look pretty similar according to the diagrams. Very confusing Confused. Best to be safe than sorry though so we will BD and BD BD BD BD BD BD BD BD BD BD BD BD BD BD cos I am so fed up of being disappointed with BFN's. Will test again with a CB Digi OPK tonight I think.

How is everyone doing?
