Hello Ladies.....

Anyone else in the same Boat??

CD16 for me, OV'd (as far as I can tell) on CD14. Had the whole EWCM thing but am so obsessed with this TTC thing that I am (for my sins) using the CBFM and trying to get my head round temping - its like a full time job ATM.

So I'd say I am officially on the 2WW.....

Didn't particularly enjoy the last 2WW as it was my first month TTC so was totally convinced I was PG the day after I OV'd - silly cow - I had fabricated every symptom you could think of and was truly suffering - in my head!

So this time round I am determined to try and take it easy, hence the reason I am on a cirtual Cruise.

Would love to meet the other passengers and share 2WW stories, worries and joys. If you fancy it come aboard.....

AF didn't turn up this morning so now I'm completely unable to concentrate on work... I'm sure she'll appear during the day, but in the meantime I'm scared to to to the loo in case she does turn up! And there's always the chance that my cycle isn't as regular as I'm hoping, post-Pill, which makes the whole AF due-date a bit dubious anyway...

This TTC stuff is so incredibly nerve-wracking. It's líke doing the lottery - the first time you do it you're 1000000% sure you're going to hit the jackpot and don't understand what could possible have gone wrong when you don't!

curiouselle · 09/08/2010 12:28

It helps when DH is not 200miles away when you are ovulating (I think, pants seem to indicate so anyway).
Will the little guys have held on since Friday morning - I think not!
I am declaring this month nullandvoid out to sea, and will have to hop back on main deck next month, am still hanging around to hear the gossip though and pass round wine!
(just wait 1 week and listen to me make up pregnancy symptoms)
Hope you are ok nomorechobiscuits?

naitimum · 09/08/2010 16:41

nomorechocbiscuits I'm so sorry.

fingerscrossedgirl I understand the fear of the loo totally, but also really wanting to go and check too! You're right tho, it's so nervewracking... Good luck!

Curious, you never know, I thought those guys could stay around for 5 days, so don't go getting lost out at sea quite yet!

As for me... got a faint BFP yesterday (this test was possibly a day or 2 early tho). I can't believe it's happened quite this fast but don't know how to think as it's following on from 2 quite recent miscarriages so I just hope this one can stick. I am going to test again in a few days and really hoping for a fat bold line then.

crazydayz · 09/08/2010 17:03

NMCB Really sorry to hear your news.

I'm off this ship after AF arrived at lunchtime after a whole weekend of managing to convince myself I was pregnant. Oh well I did know that there was no way I was lucky enough to conceive on the first month of trying! Luckily it would seem that I have a shortish cycle so at least it won't be too long til the next 2WW!

fingerscrossedgirl · 09/08/2010 17:10

Great news, naiti! Let us know how you get on when you test again, but sounds like you're preggers!

curiouselle · 09/08/2010 17:21

great news naitimum - grab on tight little bean! Also thank you for giving me some hope, lets hope those guys were still hanging around!
How's it going fingerscrossedgirl any sign of AF yet? Or any pregnancy symptoms? Remember- think pregnant thoughts! ha ha

fingerscrossedgirl · 09/08/2010 17:28

Dude, I am thinking so many pregnant thoughts I think I'm driving myself mad!

Symptoms - cramps on and off for a few days, but kind of sharper ones than I usually get with AF. Then yesterday and today I felt nauseous for an hour or so in the afternoon - yesterday I know I was tired from a very late night, so it could've been that, but what's the excuse today? Psychosomatic, that's what.... I don't know when I ovulated, but my last cycle was 31 days and I felt very crampy around CD27 which would be ten days after CD17 which sounds about right for ovulation so the cramps could've been implantation... See how far I'm reaching here? Haha! Also I had thrush last week and you never know, could be a symptom! Seriously - driving myself round the twist.

I've got one HPT in the bedroom so I'm going to try and hold off until Thursday morning. Though I'm sure AF will show up by the time I sit down to dinner tonight. I'm a dreadful mix of wild anticipation and awful pessimism!

curiouselle · 09/08/2010 17:34

I feel for you fingerscrossedgirl and have everything crossed for you - it would be lovely if you got to take that test on Thursday and got a BFP!

naitimum · 09/08/2010 18:07

fingerscrossedgirl, think I'm on the same rollercoaster here too! I'm desperately trying not to think about it too much, but at the same time can't think of anything else!

cowboylover · 09/08/2010 20:15

Well, I gave up and tested before I went home to DH on my own.

I went to boots for hairbrush and came out with a test and got a BFN.

I am now on my own and devestated still with no AF and no idea what I should do now Sad

fingerscrossedgirl · 09/08/2010 23:20

I'm sorry cowboy - that's not what you need. But if you're over a week late, your BFP might still be on the way - I hear some people don't test positive for ages. We're still rooting for you!

Meanwhile I'm still all crampy with no AF; I'm off to bed now and will probably dream about HPTs and/or tampons - much like last night. Exciting times. And then I'll wake mid-period.

Night, everyone!

fingerscrossedgirl · 10/08/2010 15:42

Still no AF here, so officially one day late. DP is away until tomorrow night, which is my main deterrent from testing - he'd want to be around. I still doubt I'm pregnant - my post-pill cycle's probably irregular and we probably BD'd on all the wrong days - but still, very nerve-wracking! (Doesn't help that I'm not working right now so haven't got people around me to distract me!)

cowboylover · 10/08/2010 17:48

Thanks fingerscrossed and I hope you get some good news soon!

I ust told DH on the phone and broke my heart again but he has been so nice and said the same that t might just not show up yet and I did test in the night so will wait a week and if no AF will retest in a morning.

fingerscrossedgirl · 10/08/2010 22:03

Keep us posted, cowboy - it's not over til it's over.

Ladies, tell me - if I keep getting AF cramps, is that more likely to be a sign of delayed AF than imminent BFP? Have other people been crampy for days and days and days before a BFP? (Don't think it's implantation cramps - that would have been last week's cramping. Says she, who's making it up as she goes along!) Other, probably irrelevant, symptoms: I felt really sick today cycling home from town - I'd drank a large glass orange juice and nearly threw it up. Weird. And (TMI alert) I'm farting like there's no tomorrow! Sorry!

This waiting game is pants. Plus the symptom-spotting - everything that happens in the 2WW is suddenly a pregnancy thing, and not just dodgy bowels or normal tiredness, or minor aches. We're all crazy.

naitimum · 12/08/2010 08:32

Hey ladies, anyone any news?
Fingerscrossed I'm not sure about the cramping, but I guess it could be things stretching around in there before a BFP, the other stuff sounds like possible pregnancy stuff here.
Any other news cowboylover?
Think I have to walk the plank though ladies, I though that now I have a BFP that I'd be full of the joys of spring, but now I'm panicking about previous mcs - ooh the joys of pregnancy!!

fingerscrossedgirl · 12/08/2010 09:41

BFP!!! On CD35 of supposed 31. Faint line, but definitely a line, on an Asda cheapie!

Now of course I'm getting worried that it won't stick (like you, Naiti) - but in the meantime, omg, as the kids say!

naitimum · 12/08/2010 10:03

Yayyyy!! That's great news, I think we need some kind of job-lot of sticky dust!
I tested again at about 2am this morning as I was woken by ds1 and it's still faintish but still there and I'm clinging onto it, think I'm on day 32.
Lots and lots of sticky dust to you!

StormBird · 12/08/2010 14:13

Wow congratulations fingerscrossedgirl and naitimum (stick stick stick!)

StormBird · 12/08/2010 19:10

OP posts:
fingerscrossedgirl · 12/08/2010 19:21

Thanks, girls! I'm going to test again in a few days just to see a stronger line! Grin

Probably a daft question, but at what point do you make a doctor's app to make it all medically official? I guess its best to wait a couple of weeks just in case?

cowboylover · 12/08/2010 19:32

I have no idea at what point you are ment to go but I thik go and then they can say come back later if you need to and they can make sure you have the most up to date advise (not that there is much you cant find on here)

Well that will be my plan hopfully soon x
