The 2WW Luxury Liner has officially set Sail and I was wondering what the other passengers were like?

Hello Ladies.....

Anyone else in the same Boat??

CD16 for me, OV'd (as far as I can tell) on CD14. Had the whole EWCM thing but am so obsessed with this TTC thing that I am (for my sins) using the CBFM and trying to get my head round temping - its like a full time job ATM.

So I'd say I am officially on the 2WW.....

Didn't particularly enjoy the last 2WW as it was my first month TTC so was totally convinced I was PG the day after I OV'd - silly cow - I had fabricated every symptom you could think of and was truly suffering - in my head!

So this time round I am determined to try and take it easy, hence the reason I am on a cirtual Cruise.

Would love to meet the other passengers and share 2WW stories, worries and joys. If you fancy it come aboard.....

Can't blame you curiouselle, we are all entitled to one every now and then. Fingers crossed for you though x

curiouselle · 18/09/2010 12:19

Mood swings left right and centre, so AF is 99% likely on her way, mood swings are not helping me feel positive about the whole thing. But it means another month of trying - positive thinking! How is everybody else doing - it's been quiet of late?

goldmaple · 19/09/2010 15:23

curiouselle fingers crossed that the mood swings mean a BFP:) not AFAngry

stormbird did you like the counseller any better the second time round? I hope you did! An that the house smelled better...

I'm on on cycle day 6... so nothing remotely interesting to report.

curiouselle · 26/09/2010 18:26

Cycle day 7 now (I think) so there was no BFP. Watched 'Knocked Up' last night, found myself shouting at the screen "it's not that easy!" which is worrying! oh dear.

raspberrytipple · 26/09/2010 18:35

Haha oh curiouselle I know how you feel! I've seen that film too and didn't want to watch it again. I'm going to watch Juno tonight, probably notthe best idea but hey ho. I am now on 2ww again, think I ov'd fri or yesterday I'm not sure.... Hope the next 2weeks fly by, I'm bored of waiting to be pg now.

StormBird · 27/09/2010 12:45

Hi Girls,

Sorry not posted on here in a wee while!!

Dumped the cousellor by the way - it was definately not what I needed!!

Hope you are all ok? any news from anyone - Curiouselle sorry you didn;t get your BFP mate, better luck next time eh! Hi raspberry I hope your 2WW is fruitful. Are we the only ones left now??

Well I'm on the 2WW again now too...OV'd late this month on CD17 which is unusual so I'm hoping for a long 2WW (never thought I'd say that LOL)

Not getting my hopes up but temps have constantly risen since CD17 - is this a sign? We shall see....

Anyhoo...........will speak to you all again soon XXX

OP posts:
goldmaple · 28/09/2010 03:56

curouselle sorry to hear about no Bfp, good luck this cycle!!

I'm cycle day 14 so I have a few more days SWI and then I'll officially join the cruise! Not feeling very lucky for this month, but I don't think my radar is very accurate:)

stormbird have your temps risen higher than they normally do on the 2ww? If so that is a good sign, as the charts of pregnant people just seem to get higher and higher (I have spent way too many hours looking at TCOYFBlush)

StormBird · 28/09/2010 08:27

Morning Goldmaple,

They were rising, but they dropped a little this morning - not sure what this means.

Hope all is well xxxx

BrownB · 28/09/2010 11:05

Good morning ladies... was wondering if I could board the 2WW boat.

(It took me an age to figure out what 2WW stood for Grin)

Am TTC my first, (MC last year), and have just decided to get all scientific on the whole damn thing. So - I am on CD 21, and DPO 11 (or DPO 10 if I'm right about the first temp spike being a disturbed reading). This is the first month I've been taking my BBT though, so am not sure about what my typical temps look like...

Am imagining that I have abdo cramps/discomfort, then convinced that I am imagining it all... This goes round in circles. The reality is that I'm going to be gutted when/if my af arrives on Sat/Sun as predicted, as I have been for every period since the mc... BUT I have been strong this month and have not yet POAS. Departure from my norm!! Grin

Stormbird what's the score with your temps? Goldmaple What is the score with temps? (Am more than happy to have someone summarise TCOYF if they're willing!!) I understand there is one temp spike just after you ovulate, but it goes up again if you're pregnant?

StormBird · 29/09/2010 12:46

Good Afternoon and welcome BrownB

Please make yourself comfortable, we're a friendly bunch and you'll be pleased to know there isn't many of us left from what I can remember as this has been a pretty successful thread so far.

Hopefully AF won't arrive for you and you will have your BFP very soon but in the even that she does rock up stick around so we can see you through the next 2WW too.

Sorry to read you had an MC last year but its also lovely to read that you have finally decided to give TTC a good go.

As for your BBT the trick is to take it at the same time every morning (in my experience) TMI ALERT....I take it vaginally as I find it gives me a better reading and my chart flows rather than looks like really jaggy mountains (which is what happened to me when taking it orally). you'll start to get used to they way your chart should look after a few cycles and then if there are any slight significant changes you should notice them straight away. I use Fertility Friend.com to chart, its brilliant and I highly recommend it.

As for my temps - they went up again today Shock I seriously thought that after yesterdays dip it meant a definate no to being PG but now I've got my hopes up again. Oh I hope I can sustain this. Fingers Crossed eh...... And not only did they go up but this is another record temp for me.

Along with the temp rises I have been getting the old metallic taste in mouth symptom, not all the time but its there every now and again. So much so that I went to the mirror to check my gums weren't bleeding, I am having a few tummy twinges and I am becoming more and more tired earlier on in this day. I'm definately not going to dwell on these symptoms though and try to keep slightly level headed about it all cos they could all just point to AF being imminent.

Kepp well all

Will post again soon.

BrownB · 29/09/2010 22:10

OOhh! Metallic taste is good.. ? Well - my fingers are crossed for you too!!

The only major symptoms I have are excessive irritation and short-temperdness. :( Not the best signs for me this month.

[FF - is it no use if you work shift work, and can't do the same time every day?]

goldmaple · 30/09/2010 14:57

stormbird that all sounds good! fingers crossed for you!

brownB welcome! You are supposed to take your temp at the same time everyday after at least 3 hours of continuous sleep. I would definitely grab a TCOYF book - used are quite cheap. It has 300 some pages of info:)

CD 17 here and my temps are all over the place which is unusual. Also have not SWI very much since argued with DH two nights in a row:( Think I'm on the 2ww now but don't have much hope for this month.

StormBird · 30/09/2010 18:14

Hi Girls,

Oh I am sooooooooo TIRED and WEARY!! What is wrong with me. I bloody hope I'm PG otherwise I will have been feeling like this for absolutely nothing.

Hi Goldmaple Sorry you;ve been arguing with DH. Why is it we always seem to fall out with our DP's around that crucial time in the month. It happens to me and my DP all the time, it makes me want to scream 'WHY ARE WE ROWING WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING JIGGY YOU FREAKIN IDIOT' (well I prob wouldn't say the freakin idiot bit cos that would just cause another row LOL). I hope you've managed to BD at the right time hun and try to enjoy your 2WW as much as you can.

BrownB I'm not sure about FF & shift work but I am curious now, I wonder if another MNer would know. MAybe you should ask the Question by creating another thread?

CD26 of a UCL28 (although last months cycle was 32 days long for some reason) and my temps are still rising, had another record one this morning 36.63 Shock

Kind of excited and scared all at the same time.

Have a nice evening girls, speak to you tomorrow.

BrownB · 01/10/2010 11:57

Well... Just POAS and it was BFN. Sad

Feel as if my period is coming. Last night I was fed up and grumpy as hell, and had a massive headache to boot. I bought icecream, then sat in bed and ate it all... Sad. Then read the nutritional information on the back and felt a little sick. Hmm

My temps were ultra high (circa 36.88) for three days [9-10-11 DPO], then dipped for two (36.5, 36.3). Today [14DPO] went back up to 36.71 (at 6:30am, my bleary eyes read 36.11. Lucky I re-checked this before I stuck it in my chart).

As I say, I don't know what is normal for me temps-wise, but I know enough to know that a BFN is well, a definitive answer.

GOOD LUCK Stormbird. My fingers and toes are crossed for you!

xx

alien06 · 02/10/2010 13:38

Hey everyone :0)
Room for another?Raspberry- hey we re on the Frolickers thread together :)
Am TTC no1, am on 2ww now. think im approx 5 dpo and having sharp pains in my lower abdomen at the moment.

Really beginning to get down about not conceiving as everyone around me and dh are having babies. I wish that I hadn't waited now ( we waited until we owned a house etc) what if it never happens? :(

I purchased a CB fertility monitor so am waiting for af to arrive to begin using it.

I have a load of the dip pregnancy strip thingies so will be using them if af doesnt arrive. I use them before af is due to , purely through boredom and my impatient streak!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend

StormBird · 03/10/2010 07:48

Welcome Alien its lovely to see another passenger boarding the 2WW. Enjoy your stay. You said you've got a CBFM arriving soon....well I use one too so if you have any questions about them just ask or come and join us on the Clearblue Fertility Monitor Support Buddies Vol4 thread. They're a fab bunch too.

Morning Girls, a little early for a Sunday I know but can't sleep - we're away from home at the mo at MIL's and the bed we're in is not a patch on ours and I've struggled every night to have a good nights kip.

Anyhoo we're going home today so hopefully I will sleep better tonight.

How is everyone doing? Have we any news yet?

I've nothing major to report really and I'm watching what I say in case I jinx it but temps dipped slightly and have started to rise again so hoping they continue up as you do. Still getting the odd metallic moment but thats it really. AF is due in the next few days so really hoping she doesn't appear as per usual. Fingers crossed.

Anyway, have a lovely sunday and I'll post again soon.

xxx

hey stormbird thanks for the info re CBFM :0) I shall certainly be asking away lots of questions I am sure lol

I have had cramps in my lower abdomen for the last couple of days and increased CM (TMI-soz!)

I am due in just over a week, never had these pains before so not sure what they could be?? any ideas!?

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday , I watched DH play footie this morning and his team won 7-2 :0)

x

sufferingbabyfever · 03/10/2010 18:05

Hey alien,

having similar cramps to you and we seem due AF in a similar time frame.

Don't have CM like you but have random bright red bleeding. So already highly stressed at the possibility of another failed month.

I have a cheek really only been trying for two (this is the third). But my BF concieved in 3 weeks so I'm feeling the pressure!

Why the cramps etc!!!

BrownB · 04/10/2010 17:43

Hey stormbird - any news yet?

As for me, my period arrived. Boo.. And I have a terrible cold. So feeling sorry for myself all round. Still - I have a short cycle, so this time next week, I'll be back to wondering if the aches and cramps and stabby little pokey feelings in my tummy are baby related. And, if it doesn't happen shortly - I get to go skiing at Christmas. So, there's my consolation prize..

sufferingbabyfever - friends who fall pregnant when they sneeze. Super annoying. Love them dearly, but... Envy

alien06 · 04/10/2010 18:20

hey stormbird

The bright red bleeding looks promising, from what I have been reading everywhere that could be implantation bleeding?
BrownB sorry to hear that period has arrived :( I have a skiing holiday booked for February so looking forward to that

StormBird · 05/10/2010 21:20

Hey alien,

Sorry but I haven't had beight red bleeding....was that meant for me???

BrownB sorry AF got you hun. Hugs xx

Well still no news from me. Still no AF, temp dipped quite considerably today but is still above the coverline so not sure whats going on there. Did a first response on monday afternoon and got a BFN. If AF doesn't arrive by the end of the week I'll test again. Its all very strange...

Hope you are all ok. Will post again soon xxx

OP posts:
alien06 · 07/10/2010 07:33

awww sorry to hear that StormBird

my previous post was for suffering I think , I think I was half asleep lol, sorry about that!

I am slowly dying of flu, have had no SWI thanks to being a snotty monster :( no good, according to my i phone app I am due AF in 7 days, no symptoms as yet so not looking good . I have docs appointment on Monday about something else but going to ask about TTC and what my sharp pains that last a few days could have been!

I have had a swollen belly for the last few days too,but think that is my fault for not eating lots of fruit!
Nearly the weekend!!!! whooopeee

StormBird · 07/10/2010 12:49

Good luck alien - I do hope AF doesn't get you too hun xxx

Just dropping in - hello all and welcome to the new people Smile

In theory I am on the 2ww however we have 'got jiggy with it' once around ov, family illness, stressful work, combined Mr and Mrs illness and a sore foot(!) meant not much going on. So next month for me I'm afraid girls. UGH

Working with children is not helping me here, however no rush I am only 26!
