3-4 times a week, you lucky thing. Pre-seed must be your friend!

I'm a day late... and admit to being a bit excited,

Loujalou · 28/09/2010 18:25

Got my fingers crossed for Youngie.

FairyG hope you're better soon.

Pants am jealous if your hubby's stamina. Mine needs to get fit.

Anyway went for a run today and feel good for it.

Youngie -fingers crossed Wink!

He may have lots of stamina but it's not helping with elusive bfp!!!

He took up boxing earlier this year and is training towards his first amateur fight hopefully in November. He trains 4 times a week and goes out running twice a week, and has lost 2+stone. Very proud of him, but it doesn't leave much time for me to do anything Hmm.

So, what you all up to?? I'm chilling on the sofa watching tv and doing a bit of knitting.

NOTHEROLDIE · 28/09/2010 21:00

Knitting! I love knitting but haven't done it for years.
So what you knitting, warm woolly jumpers? or baby clothes???? Grin

I decided to re-arrange the DC's room, shifting beds and chests of drawers. However I should've checked that it would all fit in the new places and it didnt, so had to shift more stuff from our room to get it in. Did the room shrink in the process?
Then I had to move all clothes from room to room, went and made dinner, forgot, then went to put DCs to bed and had to find them under the mountain of junk I had unearthed. Bad planning Confused

Loujalou · 29/09/2010 09:31

So Youngie any news?

Knitting yous lot is hard core. When I win my babyyyyy you can all knit a nice blanket!!

OP posts:
NOTHEROLDIE · 29/09/2010 11:42

No news yet, still no AF, which is fab :)

But drove to 3 bleedy supermarkets and 2 of them didnt have Pg tests can you believe it? and one had roped off ALL the mother & baby parking spaces, (like 10 of them!) and were removing them!!!
So I didnt feel like driving miles to find a place to park in the pouring rain, so came home and ate chocolate instead.
Will go into Boots later.

Perhaps we could all knit a square each and make a huge blanket?

NOTHEROLDIE · 29/09/2010 17:02

Gather round......

Loujalou · 29/09/2010 18:25

NOTHEROLDIE · 29/09/2010 18:47

I did another test today... still only a feint line but DEFINITELY A BLINKIN LINE!!

So I'm going to say...

BINGO!! :)

I won two lines!!

Get knitting everyone.

(I really hope AF doesn't arrive now cos I might look a bit stoopid)

Icedlemonmuffin · 29/09/2010 18:54

Woo hoo! Congrats OldieSmile

NOTHEROLDIE · 29/09/2010 18:56

Thanks :)
How are you? Has the sickness improved at all?

Are you getting a good bump? etc etc

Loujalou · 29/09/2010 18:56

I need to learn to knit. Congrats Youngie lets hope its a sticky one. I have got all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

OP posts:
Icedlemonmuffin · 29/09/2010 19:17

Sickness much better (touch wood) got a bit of a bump, midwife measured bump today and measuring just right. It's plotted on your own individual graph according to your bmi. 24 weeks now and she kicks like mad. We've started talking about when to buy the pram do we get it before Christmas or just after. I can't make decisions now I'm pregnant!

Lou I tried knitting and managed to make some lovely scarfs for dds teddies!

Oldie all things crossed for a quick and boring eight months.

NOTHEROLDIE · 29/09/2010 19:17

Thanks LOU,

It might be catching like for the chavs.. so watch out....

I really hope it is a sticky one, I would give up otherwise

Oh p.s I havent told DH yet!!
so keep schtum!

Fairygodmother1 · 29/09/2010 19:28

Yay!!!!! Youngie!!!!!

I know why it aint happening to me...I'm in a far too stable relationship, it's not with some random bloke or with someone else after a break up (rebound shag I guess I mean), or the fact that I aint been given an important role at work that I need to prove myself & will be letting people down or in a job where being pg is not expected!!!!

Rant over...

Glad you're doing well Iced

x

NOTHEROLDIE · 30/09/2010 08:16

Fairy you're hanging around in the wrong park obviously. You aint chavvy enough!

I worked out it will be due a few weeks short of 20 years (yes twenty!!)since my first baby!! I had my first at 22 1/2, this one I'll be 42 1/2. Heck thats scary. Confused

harassedinherpants · 30/09/2010 10:14

Yaaaay!!! One day I don't check on here this week and look what happens!! So pleased for you Youngie Grin

Big age gaps rock...my lot are 21, 19 and 4 and I have a 1yr old grand-daughter.

No news from me. CD 25 - no af symptoms and no pg symptoms.... will test tomorrow as we're going out and I fancy a voddie or too. If I hang out with all the chavs and get madly drunk then I'm guaranteed a bfp..right??!!!

I'm knitting me a cardie, then dd a hat, then a blanket for new niece due in Dec. Then hats for new niece, 4month old niece and grand-daughter for Christmas. Love knitiing at the moment Grin.

Loujalou · 30/09/2010 11:09

GrannyPants see what I did there. I didn't realise your offspring had reproduced already. That is exciting. My brother (he is much younger) is 22. It is nice having different ages in the family. I was 16 when one of my cousins was born and his sisters were 7 and 9. So age gaps are common here too. Just have some vodkas the baby doesn't have a connection to your blood until 6 weeks or something.

Anyway on another fred I saw that LovelyLia has reached 15 weeks so think we need to line up the sambucas to celebrate even you Lemonyone

Anyway the me me me part of the post!

Right first appointment with the FC nurse and it wasn't too bad. She weighed me and went through my tests. I have got to have day 2 - 4 bloods done and TH has been referred for a SA at Hammersmith. Apparently the first test was fine but second no so great so they do more in depth tests. Not sure what that means but I thought it was worth doing to see what they come up with.

We have an appointment with the consultant on 30th December but hopefully we will be able to get a cancellation once we have had the tests done.

OP posts:
harassedinherpants · 30/09/2010 12:57

Lou I love being a nanny, she's a gorgeous girly! Ds1 & dil got caught after a drunken night out lol. Fingers x'd for your tests, and hope a cancellation comes through soon!

Lemon - how exciting!!! Get pram after Christmas in the sales. I did this with dd and got half price one Smile. Got just about all my money back when I ebay'ed it.

Oh no, I have tummy cramps now. RTD due Sunday. Oh well!! Didn't think I was. Might go and cheer myself up treating myself to a mooncup , although I do want one actually lol.

NOTHEROLDIE · 30/09/2010 16:17

Harrassedingrannypants i had no idea either!
Firstly that you had grown up ones or you were a granny.

Big gaps are cool, I got a 16yr gap and 16mnth gap! And it will be over 20 yrs, I got that wrong I dont know my months very well!!

I always thought I'd be a granny and never have more kids but hey you never know what /who might change all that!

LOU good luck with the tests, hope you have some blood left at the end of them all!

I told DH he nearly choked! First tho he had a big unexpected bill which pissed him off gthen I told him and he was all happy again. We arent telling ANYONE close, as last time we got shocked faces, tuts and rolled eyes. And then I MMC so this time its sworn to secrecy. Wink

Icedlemonmuffin · 30/09/2010 18:19

Wow Pants can't believe your a nana! With all the talk of your dh training I thought you were katie price in disguise ( just jealous of you having such a fit dh!!)

I thought about buying pram after Christmas but dh is worried the baby will arrive before pram!

Fairy embrace your inner chav, hitch your skirt up shag ten randoms and get on jk!

Youngie has your dh recovered?

Lou never had sambuca but I'll try anything once.

Bicnod · 30/09/2010 19:47

OMG OMG OMG!!! Congratulations Youngie!!! GrinGrinGrinEnvyGrinGrin

That is such amazing news - I'm going to rub myself up against you just in case it's catching Wink

Louja - fingers crossed for cancellation, what an arse to have to wait so long :( at least you're on the conveyor belt now.

Lemony - never had sambuca?! Seriously?! That is actually slightly criminal.

I'm CD22 and pretty sure I'm not up the duff :( On the upside, I wrote my supporting statement for applying to train as a nurse yesterday. Just getting it checked by some pals and then I'll be able to send it off. Very excited.

Fairygodmother1 · 30/09/2010 21:28

Lou I used to go Hammersmith loads in my late teens & early 20s!!!!

Youngie Obviously not chav enough...no fair. My youngest cousin is 29 years younger than me but my uncle is only 12 years older than me so lots of age gaps here too!

Who was it with the pompoms??? They obviously work...or shall we stick to trying to catch baby germs (or flu from hanging round the park on cold winter nights?)

xx

harassedinherpants · 30/09/2010 21:32

Lemon - my dh is a toy boy! 5 years younger than me at 35. Quite old to be boxing, but it's something he's always wanted to do. I approve of people who follow their dreams and don't just talk about them! Oh and he's not the boys dad lol. Having a 21yr old at 35 is the height of chaviness!!!!!

The closest I'm going to get to Katie Price......well having a dh that boxes I suppose lol.

Biccie Me neither luv! I've got a friend who's just started uni training as a nurse. She did a year of college first. She loves it!!
