Hello Oldie no problem with ranting, thats what we are here for (cross ref my post from Sunday!!!)

My ds isn't that clingy, except when he can sense that if mummy doesn't get some time to herself she will spontaneously combust! Then he does what he did on sunday, follow me round with interminable questions!

I hope you have had some minutes today and have now got them in bed or nearly.

I don't think you are alone with the early waking thing. I can get up without waking him, but he can NEVER get up without waking me! (fortunately for me, my dh doesn't rise at 5 am - I think I would scream. 2 ds's all day by yourself on top of no sleep - you deserve a medal!

Icedlemonmuffin · 18/08/2010 22:11

Oldie I feel your pain. Dd was really really clingy and an early riser, five thirty was her favorite time of day. I never got a lie in as dh worked nights then (not any more thank god) and didn't get home till about nine and by then I felt like I had been up all day.

The only way I coped was to stand in the garden and scream. Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight.

NOTHEROLDIE · 19/08/2010 07:51

Well ladies it was 5am today! Just wakes up comes in smiling, wriggles in our bed for an hour, chatting, trying to sleep.
Luckily DH got up, did their b.fast, got dressed etc and watched TV . I got a lie in til 7.15. :)

I always get woken by someone in the night, but go back to sleep. The ultra early starts are the killers.

Sometimes I wonder if I would cope with
a) another pregnancy
b) even less sleep and BF all night!

Of course I would!! despite all the grumbles I wouldnt be without sleep my darlings!

Hope everyone is ok, and not too squidged in the pit. I know I take up a fair bit wallowing in self pity Grin

Loujalou · 19/08/2010 08:18

OLdie your DH seems like he is trying to redeem himself a bit.

Am full of cold and am supposed to be going to the gym this evening and running this afternoon!! ARGH! Am trying to get out the pit but am struggling to find the ladder....

OP posts:
Bicnod · 19/08/2010 19:21

Evening ladies :)

Louja - hurrah for referral. When will you get to interrogate cajole and hold gun to head of see consultant?

Pit seems quite appealing to me right now so might join you. Having childminder ishoos which mean we're going to have to move O after only 4 months and when he's settled Angry very upset about it all and very stressed so not likely to be our month this month in the baby bingo Sad

Umbongo - back in the game - excellent news my lovely. Another competitor in the endless tediousness fun that is shagwatch Grin

Good idea to stay away from the ov sticks if you can I reckon - I use them and I'm completely obsessed. Apparently not very sexy Shock to rush into bedroom clutching stick shouting 'I'm about to ovulate, quick let's do it!'

Fairy boo to ERTD :( but as you say, maybe as it's on time it means your cycle is getting back to normal which must be a good thing? fingers crossed for a normal length RTD this time around.

Oldie did you manage to get five minutes peace today? Sending a restorative g&t in your direction. Isn't it depressing that 7.15am is a lie-in?! I feel like I've had a lie in if I get to sleep past 6.15am!

UmBongo · 19/08/2010 19:38

Good chat up line Biccy I will try and stay away from the piss sticks, and thermometer etc, although will still keep track in the thermometer book, but just to note down start date and get a rough idea of cd, so know when to start molesting dh!

Sorry for childminder ishoos, only hope is that as he settled with that one, he will settle with the next one, but the intervening part will be difficult.

I nearly lost the plot this afternoon as I was cuddling a friends 6mth old girl (her dd2) while she took dd1 for wee. Don't mind cuddling other babies and it doesn't usually set me off, but my ds came over and gave friends dd2 lots of cuddles too. He would make such a lovely big brother.Sad. Ho hum and bugger and stuff. (He WILL make a lovely big brother)

Lou sorry you are having difficulty finding the ladder, I think it is cos I have set up camp on it. One rung up, one rung down, up, down, up, down.

Loujalou · 20/08/2010 09:04

{Pushes Umbungo off the ladder but passes a bottle of sambuca)

Right I am going to have another baby, I am I am I am! Adi would be a great older bro too. He is so cheeky.

Am getting into this running thing. Have now run for 3 minutes - without a "proper" break. Its good to have something to focus on that has got to mean I am going to win a baby.

Anyways its the weekend. Woo hoo.

Anyone seen Lia I hope her baby is sticking tight.

I just got a message from the only friend I told I was pg in april, I MMC in May, she tells me she is due 10 days after I was.
I feel so sad, (and ridiculously jealous) that I can ask how she is etc etc, but I cant mention the word baby. Anyone else I'm not jealous, but I am with her. I don't know why.

Loujalou · 20/08/2010 10:37

Here hide your head in my boozams - here's a big cuddle and I can see why you might be a lot upset. Luckily all most of my friends aren't trying so not too many sad moments to come.

OP posts:
Bicnod · 20/08/2010 12:04

I know how you feel nother - two of my really good friends (both were bridesmaids) are pg and my other bridesmaid has just told me she and her DH are trying for number 2. I just know that all three of my best mates will be pg at the same time and I'll still be here, SWI-ing in vain :(

Boo hoo. Shove over in that pit louja and umbongo

NOTHEROLDIE · 22/08/2010 14:13

HI all, gone a bit quiet here.....

I see you all in the corner!! :)

Just found out another friend is pg with her 5th. Not fair.

I also heard something about the dampness in your body(???) can hinder conception. Confused
I wasnt sure what it meant , but the person who told me certainly wasn't talking about dampness in your pant-ness. Wink

I will investigate further.......

UmBongo · 22/08/2010 22:47

Rising Damp Oldie?

Dry rot?

Dampness caused by sitting at the bottom of the pit surrounded by empties? (Not us, we sit on luverly cushions!)

Loujalou · 23/08/2010 08:25

Bundle. Right am intrigued by dampness. Am not a sweaty person. Just apparently barren. These cushions are so comfy I don't wanna leave the pit.

NOTHEROLDIE · 23/08/2010 11:01

It might be something to do with Chinese medicine, but I don't get that.
Acupuncture, reflexology, homeopathy and the alternative medicines are meant to be beneficial. (but ruddy expensive!) Shock

Loujalou · 23/08/2010 14:28

Acupuncture seems to be effective but very expensive. Will see what the FC says when I get there. Fingers crossed I will hear soon.

Right who is up for some Sambuca shots? We need to get out of the pit and have some fun. We will win our babies, we will we will.... [Gets her pompoms out and start cheeleading]. Give me a B A B Y and what do you get - a lot of sleepless nights!!!

OP posts:
NOTHEROLDIE · 23/08/2010 14:44

LOL :)

Line those shots up girl!
I've got my cheerleading outfit on, including laddered tights, cellulite thighs and a dribble of vomit from down the park and too much white lightening.

UmBongo · 23/08/2010 20:05

Pom poms ready! Nylon outfit sparking well! Cellulite wobbling well!

Sambucas here I come!!!

(have spent 2 sessions clearing "dampness" off loo floors today as ds appears to believe it is funny to piss on the floor and make mummy cross)(Oh and he did it while he was at my mums while I was in tescos too)(my mother was not amused either!!)

Loujalou · 23/08/2010 22:58

See blame DS for lack of sibling. My DS apparently had a leaky poo in his cot this evening (I was at gym) and told TH "My poo there daddy" as it had leaked onto sheet.

OP posts:
NOTHEROLDIE · 24/08/2010 08:25

We went visiting and while sitting on a cream sofa, I noticed a brown sploge of leaked baby poo. I was terribly embarrassed Blush

But loose covers are brill! Straight into the washing machine and no-one suspected anything!

I've found its not just little boys who widdle on the bathroom floor. All men do! (or splash the wall)
Biscuit

UmBongo · 24/08/2010 14:04

Oh, so I have not got much to look forward to then!!

Fairygodmother1 · 24/08/2010 21:44

Hi girlies - just trying to catch up after a week.

RTD is slow & steady...hopefully it finishes in the next couple of days & will be shorter than previous months.

Youngie I get stupidly jealous over friend's pregnancy but it's funny cos once they've had the baby I think yeah I'm gonna get me one of those but the green-eyed monster has gone...

What's this about dampness????? Hmm And I don't mean on the bathroom floor.

Bicnod · 25/08/2010 10:27

Ello lovelies

Louja leaky poo story made me chuckle

Nother getting concerned about this dampness. More details required.

FairyG keeping fingers crossed for ERTD to finish soon

Umbongo how's things with you?

So I'm CD14 and should be ov-ing at some point in next few days. Had a bit of SWI action last night and will jump DH again next few nights. Definitely won't be beating the shag-tastic nother this month.

Off on hols next Tuesday so might actually have some SFF Shock

Loujalou · 25/08/2010 18:34

TH is sick so getting shagged will be hard work though its my birthday next week so when he asks what I want.....

Biccie where are you off to? We are off to majorca in a few weeks. Think its same week as rtd week.

The rest if you sambucas shots are lined up.

Ps pants if you is lurking I hope you are too busy with your pants off. I can feel a new nn coming on.

OP posts:
Bicnod · 25/08/2010 19:09

Off to Cornwall - can't wait Grin

Yep, RTD week for me as well (we're going for 10 days). Oh well, at least I'll be somewhere nice when the inevitable happens

Loujalou · 25/08/2010 20:15
