Last year ds3 wanted a 'bulb of the moon' and a whistle on a string. This year he wants a dsi and a hat (thats it). Ds1 would like 5000 pounds among other things.

I am still looking for a real Tardis. So maybe the dinosaur breeder can point me in the right direction.

superfrenchie1 · 15/12/2009 22:57

ds, 6, asked for fake poo this year

MissGreatBritain · 15/12/2009 22:57

kreecher I think cats' eyes are a type of clear, coloured marbles.

DS once threw some money into a wishing well, closed his eyes and wished (out loud) for a kettle and a goat.

NotanOtter · 15/12/2009 23:06

i asked dp for a robin

he says i am not getting it

MsHighwater · 15/12/2009 23:12

dd, aged 4, asked for (among other, more conventional, things) "t-shirts for the summer" and "a book about shoe shops"!

Still trying to figure out the last one...

secretgardin · 15/12/2009 23:18

his grandad as he lives very far away
simpsons game
chocolate
sketchpad...

DD 8yo - a house trained pet cow

DD 11yo - a nice surprise!

natapillar · 16/12/2009 03:33

my 7yr old daughter has requested -

Bayleys for mummy (she is a clever kid! :p )
black cat with a sparklee collar
baby boy
a bag of buttons (chocolate i presume!)
horse or pony,either is fine
a DS
pink tv
ginee pig

there was more but i gave up after realising most of it belongs in a farmyard!

hellish · 16/12/2009 04:33

DD2 (7) said "a copy of some world famous paintings" and "a big water slide and twisty"
"Real gold earings
Peal earings
Rubby earings"

Hmm, how about some Lego?

iheartdusty · 16/12/2009 08:32

MSHIGHWATER - what about this one??

kreecherlivesupstairs · 16/12/2009 08:33

DD came out of school in a frenzy of wanting yesterday. It seems the must have present in her class is a cow. I know that one of her classmates is the son of a dairy farmer and quite possibly the boy will get a cow. He has been telling them how fabulous they are and versatile (english is his second language) now a good percentage are writing supplementary letters. It's not ever going to happen. We live in a flat for one thing.

beakysmum · 16/12/2009 11:00

DS wants a rabbit hutch for his soft toy rabbit to live in (Rabbit goes everywhere with him).

Have phoned my Dad to see what he can come up with......!

Re: Shoe shop, Charlie and Lola book about red shoes?

JoeJoe1977 · 16/12/2009 13:47

DS1 (4yrs) has asked for a rectangle shaped present with a ribbon on and some ear plugs (so he can watch the fireworks next year without being scared!)

MsHighwater · 16/12/2009 16:34

iheartdusty, thanks for that. I might show dd the pic and see if she recognises it. She could have had the book at nursery and I wouldn't know.

sb6699 · 16/12/2009 16:57

MsHighwater - DD2 (3) loves a book called "Baby's New Shoes" that she gets from the library every time its there. Sorry, cant remember who wrote it but thought it might who on Amazon, etc.

DS (11) - has everything he needs so just a small surprise and some money he wants to donate to the "poor kids on the telly".

DD1 (5) - a Sylvanian Family Hotel and Hospital. But Santa doesnt like greedy kids so the Hospital will be fine and she can get the Hotel for her birthday.

DD2 (3) - a Buzz Lightyear and some Bubbles!

ADingDongDandyChristmasLioness · 16/12/2009 21:23

Mrs Highwater - or you cld go for this as it is about a shop of sorts:

elves

My DD (also 4) has it and other First Reader books and loves them because they have a simple one-line summary of each page for children to read. SO DD feels she is reading the story for herself.

Milliways · 16/12/2009 21:25

DD (first term at Uni) wants:
Baked Beans
Jam
Peanut Butter
Tinned Curry etc etc

feedthegoat · 16/12/2009 21:30

Not my ds but some friends and I took kids to see father christmas this week and one (just 3) asked for 'something purple with some purple bits sticking out of the side'. Good luck with that one father christmas!
