My teenager has just announced that she is pregnant. How could this happen? We are a religious family and her father is going to hit the roof. She is a very good girl and we go to temple every week. She seems very content and happy to tell me she is due in three weeks time. She thinks its a blessing but only waited until now to tell me. It's amazing she hasn't shown until now. I'm a wreck how can we tell him this news?

Am really looking forward to finding out how this story pans out - it could be made into anything a book, a film, even a musical!!

Still packed out here in Bethlehem (had to namechange from DiscountBethlehem because there won't be any discounts around here with this bloody census). I'm turning people away, day and night. (Not that you can tell the difference what with that whopping great big star thing above my blinkin stable.)
Anyway, anyone coming to this area - just a word, a local lad, Luke, keeps wandering around asking for quotes from people. Seems to be writing some sort of book, apparently - says it's exciting and will change the world, but goodness knows where he's getting his inspiration from. So watch what you say.

All that donkey riding, over the dusty road, probably save her needing a sweep if she goes overdue.

StAnne no! the A41 is jammers and diversions are in place to the extent that sainsburys have cancelled some of their christmas deliveries! The gall of them. (Hope this doesnt affect you BethlehemBessie, must be some food shop with a packed inn to feed). I think the official line is that all unneccesary journeys in the vicinity should be avoided but thats not much bloody use when youre forced to travel for a cencus is it? StAnne hope your DDs own christams delivery goes much better

Are there any wise men or women around? Could do with some advice for your dd.

gothgirl77 · 24/12/2009 10:42

To add to the traffic it seems that they're planning some sort of music festival in Bethlehem as well.. bells a-ringing, an abundance of choirs and drummers pa-rum-pa-pum-pumming all over the place. Might be a thought for your DD to stop at a chemist's for some earplugs on the way?

figrollinthehay · 24/12/2009 11:03

Any news StAnne? Have contractions started yet?

nymphadora · 24/12/2009 19:49

Any thing happening tonight? Dont want to worry you but I think I saw your dd on another thread asking about hospitals in the area.

TipsyFairydifferentID · 25/12/2009 08:09

StAnne, is there any news this morning?

figrollinthehay · 26/12/2009 11:40

Hate when posters don't come back to thread. Worried myself sick about OP's poor daughter.

nymphadora · 26/12/2009 13:24

There was someone on that sounded like her dd but she has called the baby Brian so I think it was a different one.

nickelbabyjesus · 29/12/2009 10:45

StAnne: it's now days past the due date!
we're guessing you've been busy, but please update us!!

At least they've had a stable start to their marriage.

By the way, you might want to put her in touch with her cousin Elizabeth. I hear they've got a lot in common at the moment. Facebook or Bebo probably best.
