Thought it would be handy to start a thread!!!

You should all get an ID number for parcels, so please quote it in your thanks (you can name change ) to make life easier for people checking their parcels have been received!

for Christmas Spirit!

Thank you ever so much for the cinema tickets. There's enough there to treat ds1 (and be brave and take a friend with us!), take both boys out & treat myself and a friend to a night out.

Thank YOu very much & have a wondeful Christmas

Thank you sooo much a lovely selection of bits- thank you for being so thoughtful- i shall enjoy unwrapping mine on christmas day

2303

Thank you for passing on the karma! they will love it (and i'm sure i will too!)

To everyone thankyou, i was gobsmacked to recieve mn santa gifts- they were timed just right as well- waiting in the hallway when i returned from an oncology review! Dh is a little baffled but is touched by the mn sense of community.

Thankyou1001 · 12/12/2008 09:50

Thankyou so so much 1001.

It's perfect, and even my dh is getting sentimental about mumsnet!

And then to open the card and see your gift in there, perfect.

I am so grateful to you.

Have a very merry Christmas.

And that you to StG for organising this.

Thankyou1005 · 12/12/2008 09:53

Thank you so much 1005 for your lovely gifts.

My Dc will love playing with your presents on Christmas Day, and I will enjoy eating the cake tonight when both dc are in bed.

Thank you, and have a great Christmas.

ThankyoufromThurso · 12/12/2008 10:10

Oh my word, I didn't even know I was an MN Santa recipient! I was having such a miserable day too, the dses are poorly and I'm feeling lousy myself - so it really made my day to recieve a HUGE parcel via Wilkinsons packed with goodies! I'm seeing everyone has a reference number but I can't see anything on my parcel (probably because it came direct from the company) - so if you are my sender I put a clue in my name as you obviously have my address

Thank you so much - I am and a little as I haven't been a giver this year - but you are VERY kind

SantaToThurso · 12/12/2008 10:25

delighted to be of service.
hope they are suitable and sorry not wrapped. i am overaseas and it was better to send direct than to risk postage from here (they would have been easter gifts)

BTW - there is more to come!
3 seperate items to cover your 2 eldest DC's and..... YOU!

ThankyoufromThurso · 12/12/2008 11:09

oh my goodness!!! You are so kind ... am speechless ... and now tearful too (in a good way)

I hope providence pays you back for being so kind and you have a brilliant 2009

A very big thankyou, had a bit of a tough time recently was feeling really fed up, then the postie turned up looking puzzled and asked me if i were "the mumsnetter" of the house!
thankyou for the very lovely books, i know that the kids will really enjoy making all the paper planes and origami things, thankyou so very very much.
mumsnet is fab, thanks also to the people behind the scences that have pulled this altogether, i was surprized but pleased to have been nominated.

1502Santa · 12/12/2008 13:37

So glad they arrived safely OJ, and very glad they cheered you up a bit - hope the kids will have fun. Although I must warn you the paper planes are a bit addictive. Not that I've ever wrestled paper out of a small child's hand you understand........

I think there must be a lot of slightly bemused posties around the country at the moment

wontbepreggersagain · 12/12/2008 13:50

the ANC man wanted proof that my name was A MUMSNETTER apparently driving licence or passport would be fine explained and he was a bit but did let me have the package!

PeachyBidsYouNadoligLlawen · 12/12/2008 14:56

The lady at the post office asked and I explained, she looked at the addy and said 'not that many poor people living there' (!!) so I very gently exp, ained that I din't now the circumstances bt maybe they had an ill family member, or lost a job, or were being reqwarded for their own kindess- all manner of things. She sort of looked sceptical with her 'Is uppose!'.... honest;ly, as if difficulty is restricted to certain areas- daft cow!

StefkaSnowAngel · 12/12/2008 15:11

I just recieved a box of goodies! I didn't even know about this - I had no idea where it had come from. I am so touched by it - I am having a wee cry as I type.

Thank you to who ever nominated me. Thank you also to the perosn who took the time to make up my box - it's amazing and DS is playing madly with one of the toys now (probably should have kept it for Christmas but he spotted it so it was too late!). So thank you so much ref 1912! You guys have totally made my day!

310sSecretSanta · 12/12/2008 16:15

Glad you received it! I have older boys, so didn't really have anything to send to your girls, so very glad the balloons have gone down well!

Have a very happy Christmas.

twinklingtrace2 · 12/12/2008 16:49

Thank you so much for the red and blue presents, I had no idea I'd been nominated and haven't peeked inside them. DCs and I have been poorly so when postie put card through the door the other day (couldn't hear the doorbell for the screams) I wasn't up to the trek up the hill to explain they'd posted card through wrong door. It was addressed to Mr Netter with a similar but different address. DH pottered up the road today and saw the parcel had our correct address but explained we have different surname, got home for me to exclaim, "I don't suppose it could say mumsnetter". Thank you so much, really made my day to make me think there's someone out there who cares enough to think of us. DS1 has some xmas cards from school friends but yours is my first one!

ChiefElf · 12/12/2008 17:54

Mr Netter still has more to come

In case they aren't labelled, they are for N & L.

Glad you like them, there is another parcel on the way, keep an eye out it might come direct from a shop but will be addressed in same way.

Does your DS have a DS or something similiar that he would like a game for it.
