Thought it would be handy to start a thread!!!

You should all get an ID number for parcels, so please quote it in your thanks (you can name change ) to make life easier for people checking their parcels have been received!

for Christmas Spirit!

KelaH · 12/12/2008 20:20

Mypandsgotcrabs - you're welcome!!

This thread is so lovely - I love Mumsnet

thankyoumumnetelf1908 · 12/12/2008 20:23

Mumsnet Elf 1908

You have no idea how happy you have made me! I have had a nightmare week with DS DD DH and me all ill. I've missed the only christmas things on I was going to and we cannot go for respite tomorrow at my DD's hospice as she's too bunged up with flu .

No problem with dropping it round you've got me curious saying we live so near your mum (people tend to know us in our community as DD had a feeding tube out of her nose for 12 months...)

Going to try and keep all pressies wrapped until the big day. Thank you so much I had a bit of sob earlier... is very very kind of you XXX

Donator206 · 12/12/2008 20:31

verygratefulmnetter ref 206

I am so glad you liked the clothes. We had a lovely time choosing them. My ds1 is obsessed with dinosaurs and has dinosaur t-shirts himself so was instantly drawn to that top!

I thought the toysrus voucher would allow you the freedom to choose something you know your children would like.

Is it wrong to get a real buzz from the giving?

I am on cloud 9 knowing that it has really helped.

Have a wonderful Christmas.

wontbepreggersagain · 13/12/2008 10:48

flame- cat'd you!

ChiefElf · 13/12/2008 10:51

ChiefElf · 13/12/2008 10:53

Ooh good, posting again, this thread had locked up last night.

Message from Elf1908 to her sender:

" I'm glad you didn't mind me dropping the things off. I felt as if I was doing something really naughty and a bit stalkerish. It was so funny, I left the car in the middle of the road with the engine running, ran up the path, deposited bag, knocked on door and belted it back to the car and sped off like something out of Starsky and Hutch!

It seemed silly to post it. My mum lives opposite Sacred Heart School (as did I before I left home - I went to the school!), my best friend at school lived in your road so I know the area like the back of my hand. Worry not though, I've been gone a while and my mum has her nose stuck in her card making so your anonymity is safe

I hope the pressies are ok. I'm a very nervous present giver so I shall worry for the next few weeks. Hope you enjoy them though xx"

psychoTHANKINGsanta1206 · 13/12/2008 12:27

Oh. My. God!

I never thought I would get something, and am sat here with a grin on my face and with a DH looking very bemused.

I got an absolutely beautiful bracelet and lovely earings, I assume are hand-made......for ME! They are made of silver with red beads, and they feel made just for me with my taste in mind (my fave colour is red!)......with is astounding seeing as it is anonymous.

I am most touched to have been thought of in this way, and feel very honoured to have been nominated........not something I was expecting at all.

Has made a pretty crap week amazing.......thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.

Mumsnet ROCKS!

psychoTHANKINGsanta1206 · 13/12/2008 12:27

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

number is 1602

crappity crap

psychoTHANKINGsanta1602 · 13/12/2008 12:29

trying again with the proper number.

see below post.......and am soooooooooooooooo sorry for the cock-up with the number.

ChiefElf · 13/12/2008 13:52

What are you waffling about with the number woman?! You only wrote one and it is the right one

So glad you like the colour, fancy someone managing to get it spot on

ChiefElf · 13/12/2008 13:54

Some people are apparently still having problems posting on this thread, it keeps locking.

So another message to pass along, this is from Coro.

Ref: 309

Thank you so, so much.

I wasn't expecting anything more.

Ds will love the generous selection of goodies you have chosen.
I am munching the chocs as I type this. It's really brightened up my day ( It's been a particularly difficult week) and will continue to make me smile.

Thank you for your kindness. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

SoGrateful · 13/12/2008 14:29

503 Thank you for the addition to my parcel that you sent on. I am still overwhelmed by your kindness. Thank you x

SoGrateful · 13/12/2008 14:31

Ref 504 your pretty parcel arrived this morning, I have put it aside to open on Christmas morning thank you for brightening my day with your kindness. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas.

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 13/12/2008 14:58

ChiefElf - she's waffling about numbers because she cocked up her Thanking name change one

ManyThanks · 13/12/2008 14:59

"Manythanks - glad you liked the flowers, and hope you can treat yourself with the vouchers, Do you think there will be lots of confused postal workers around??? "

Sorry I have only just got back on a pc! I am in awe of your generousity, I assumed I had received the flowers and vouchers from two seperate mn'ers, you are too too kind, I have decided to save my vouchers for the sales, I am hoping to buy some shoes that don't leak so thank you - every time I think of them arriving I well up all over again!

I'm sure there will be lots of confused and bemused posties around yes.

ChiefElf · 13/12/2008 15:00

Doh! I didn't even notice her name. I tend to just see the psycho bit at the beginning....

psychohohohoho · 13/12/2008 16:11

I couldn't believe I had cocked up the numbers, but then, tis me who does stuff like that!

I am still so thrilled, and I think I have others to thank for the perfect colours too.

I am just SO stunned to have been nominated.........didn;t even anticipate that I would be.

TooTicky · 13/12/2008 16:12

Somebody truly wonderful has sent me £50 Ethical Superstore vouchers and some gorgeous cards....was this a Santa thing?
Thank you so so much oh unknown benefactor!!!
This is riches beyond belief and has cheered me immeasurably

TooTicky · 13/12/2008 16:13

Sorry, that should be a festive

ChiefElf · 13/12/2008 16:18

TooTicky, was there a reference number with them?

You are definitely getting something from Secret Santa but I am not sure if they are the ones or if it is a wonderful coincidence .

I am checking with your sender - which is what I should have done first before posting on the competition thread
