This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations .

You are all wonderful and I’m now going back to my mince pie and stollen (never too early!).

I've bought it for the last two years for my son. He loves it but he was a bit miffed last year when on one of the days it was a decoration and not a beer etc. The beers and ciders are all full size bottles.

Online Home Shop have their cuddle cushions on offer. There's a huge variety to choose from. No idea where I'm going to hide all of them 😱

I second the clipboard idea!

We picked one up for a fancy dress outfit and it gets so much use. If you add a couple of lanyards you can easily make convincing ID badges (I used a free canva account).

We also printed and laminated some sheets to go with it. The current favourite is a set of fake X Rays of animals used to play vets (which I think I just found on google) and some worksheets, a register, and stickers for playing teachers. There are so many options!

I can only find one that has what looks like a European plug 😬

Thanks to the poster who put the Harts of Stur sale link up. I got some great presents there last year, and have just ordered again. Two things I remember kept cropping up on the thread as requests for bargains last year:

Knife block sets. There are a few with massive discounts, all at different price points, but I thought this one was particularly good, reduced from £50 to £6.50 and a great recognisable quality brand. Judge Sabbatier knife block set.

Also a cheese knife set - potentially to make a hamper with cheese. There are a few different ones (beach, walnut, copper etc) reduced from £26 to £11.50.

i got the UP adventure journal and UP mug.
annoyingly had to pay postage but weird thing was it wanted to charge me £6.50 postage when I had two things in my basket but dropped to £4.50 when i added one of the beach towels they had in the offers

I make my kids calendars each year and have found Home Bargains and B&M great places to get lots of bits. Also savers and sometimes supermarkets. I get Xmas decorations, soap, spices, shampoo, shower gel, jokey things like the spray that’s stops the toilet smelling, chewing gum, hot chocolate, Xmas chocolate and one year I put in pizza vouchers etc etc

@HardyFox air dry clay is also a great gift it can be played with for ours and dosnt make a mess.

Ah yes sorry, got my threads mixed up as there seems to be two current referral threads (one new) and I thought I was on one of those due to tab hopping!

Not the poster who asked about this but this really is amazingly helpful as I'm planning to get one too.

The other thing to add is some filaments need to be stored at a certain temperature so it's not necessarily worth stocking up in advance.

Thanks to the poster earlier who suggested the tiny Funko Pops for advent calendar fillers. I’ve just been on Vinted and bought loads of them boxed for a really reasonable price for a teen who is very difficult to buy for, in the franchise they are obsessed with.

I'm now excited about 1 Dec!
