How about small Christmas decs, or stuff from Vinted? People are selling off stuff from beauty advents and they’re v cheap! Cult beauty also offers perfume samples where you just pay the postage. Hair things if they’re into those? A Malteser reindeer. Vouchers for cinema, coffee shops etc

My contribution is that Aldi have baking equipment in their middle aisle this week, I was hoping for baking implements for DD's stocking but actually ended up with this waffle maker for DS' stocking (who is a typical hard to buy for teen but with hollow legs at the moment!) I've made a list and have some basics on there such as Malteser Reindeer, Lindt balls and pimple patches, right through to a mini art set, hand mask gloves, hot chocolate stirrers, fluffy socks, headbands for face masks, silky scrunchies and lip oils. Oh, and we must be the last place in the UK to finally get a Starbucks, so I'll add a voucher in there too!

I got a couple of these for £13ish, now up a little to £16.99, but originally £29.99 & arguably a more exciting set.

I have 3x DS (20s & teens) & along with Lego say that their childhoods are full of memories of Hotwheels. They still get excited if a smaller cousin has them & hunker down to play, thus why I have bought for 4 X great nephews all aged 4 or 5.

I know plastic toys can get a bad rap, but there's plastic & there's plastic...Hot wheels lasts & lasts, can take a battering & is pass downable. Added plus of pocket money priced cars to be bought at other times to add to the collection. The excitement my boys got from choosing one car each as a treat still makes me smile. They still get one their stocking.

I do not work for Hot Wheels 🤣.

My husband had it last year. It had full sized bottles & cans of their range of beers and ciders, as well as mini bottles of Hawkstone vodka & gin, and branded things like a pint glass, bottle opener, etc. Its huge!

If anyone knows about Starbox NookNooks toys, does anyone know if there's a way of telling which one is in each blind box? We are looking for the cat with the laundry detergent bottle and the penguin with the fridge in particular but all the boxes seem to be the same!

Has anyone played this game Nestlings? Looks like a good deal and my DD loves birds and is getting into board games, but when I watched a YouTube video explaining it it seemed really convoluted.

My 10 year old has been learning chess at school and asked for a set. I found this on Amazon for £11.25. The board is made of card so I’m not sure of its longevity but it looks good. It’s also on John Lewis with RRP of £25.

I would look on Facebook marketplace. We have picked up two from people selling on over the years and it can work out amazing value- especially as people often chuck in toy food and pots and pans 😊

Literally 5 minutes ago my flower making book arrived and it's so lovely that it's just 'too much' for the token present I wanted it for - so adding the flowery gun to it (ordered just now) will make it a perfect present for a very special friend. She will love it and the gun just makes it more of a present.

In other news, my build-a-bear-but-a-rabbit arrived at the same time for my 7 year old and it's just right.
