I’m looking for a weighted blanket for my nearly 15 6ft Ds who has just got into sleepmaxxing!?! I’ve got no idea about weighted blankets and they are all different weights. He’s got asthma so I don’t want anything too heavy but am basically clueless. If anyone can recommend something (especially if bargainous) I would be delighted!

I'm planning on getting the Bambu a1 mini 3d printer as a joint present based on a recommendation. Does anyone know if these are likely to go on offer in black friday? Or recommendations for the filaments and kits would also be great. I'm realsing there is a lot to it!

i wish I had suggestions to trade but I’m really just hoping for help! Every year my DP’s ask me, at the last minute, to get gifts for my niece, their granddaughter. She’s 16. I’m 60! I think my DP’s somehow think we’re broadly the same age! Can’t be anything big, heavy or not to be squashed because she comes over from abroad for Christmas. I don’t even know her tbh and I’ve never had kids, so I don’t have the first clue. Until now it’s not been too bad cos I just cast my mind back to what I liked at any particular age. But 16 feels like she’s coming up to the age where you need to know what’s going on in their teenage world and I don’t have a clue. Last year I did a gazillion little things like perfume, make up, nail polish etc. could I do that again or would that be lame? If she’d be better with one present, is there anything at that age they’re pretty much all into and if so, what? Any suggestions will be met with abiding gratitude!

What’s your budget and do you have any idea what she’s into? I know it may not be popular but at that age they know what they like so money? Or could you ask your sibling for ideas?

It is tricky as she lives abroad, and without knowing the country or the styles of the children there, it is hard to know what to recommend.
In the area we live anything from Urban Outfitters is pretty much a hit, but that may not be the same for the rest of the UK or abroad.
It also depends on the 16 year old, here jellycats are still a trend.
Owala drinking bottles are more trendy than Stanleys round this area, however I've seen loads mention Stanley on this thread, so they must be popular somewhere.
Does she have social media, are you able to have a look? See the types of things she posts, what her and her friends are wearing, hobbies etc?
What is the budget? Does she have an iPad? Maybe an apple pencil?

My dd has clickeez. I think its a great fun Fidget toy but if your child is a rule follower like mind you might find it difficult to fill the full keyboard. They seem to move onto a new series pretty quick that doesnt fit the old keyboard.

They want the advent calendar so I was thinking how she could store the 24, i then saw the keyboard. I had no idea the calendar items may not fit the keyboard!

@Ifyounevergiveup sephora gift card? That would be my choice. Most 16 year old girls wear some makeup or perfume or do some skin or hair care and there’s Sephora most countries - though do make sure she can use the gift card wherever. Cash is an obvious choice. Lego flowers? Fuji film instant camera? It’s hard when you don’t know her at all, can’t you ask your sibling? An experience day whilst she’s here? Though this depends what’s near you and what her schedule is like

@Ifyounevergiveupanother vote here for owala bottles over Stanley- my eldest daughter is 15 nearly 16 and it’s def them over the Stanley’s for the least couple of years

All 'series 3' clickeez should fit series 3 keyboard but for example we have a series 1 keyboard. They are now series 2 and series 3 on. DDs keyboard is half full, if that, but any available series 1 clickeez are almost seen as collectibles so very hard to complete a keyboard.
