Thread 2 - the one where I try to get organised

[Reastie]

Hope I'm not tempting fate with that thread title
This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. £3.54 For these Mini Harry Potter balls at the moment

This Neom handcream set is £17.55 atm. Seems a good price as £34 everywhere else, apart from John Lewis where it's £47! I've just bought for teachers and TA.

Thanks for the Starfish sale heads up - I have ordered stuff from them before and it was great. Just stocked up on bits.

Oooppps. £67 starfish order for myself lol.
oh well. Life is short and it’s all so pretty!

@Wildlynxthanks so much for the starfish project heads up. I had looked at this page before when someone mentioned it but didn’t buy anything. The bits I liked were all in the sale today & I got extras including a gift for my friend who’s going through a tough time. It was nice to see some Men’s jewellery in there too. Excellent find. I’m well chuffed especially as I made 2 purchases for myself!

I'm going to be bankrupt before Christmas at this rate😂

I've just ordered an unfeasible number of gifts from Starfish to add the numerous bits I've ordered from all over since the thread started. I got a lovely necklace for myself with the money I've saved, though😉

I have several baskets floating around on the internet and now keep getting reminders about them - I like to shop around and I'm trying not to impulse buy!!! 🙄

I have no links today but I have come so scour the collective hive mind

I still need gift ideas for a few men (obviously)

Grandad - in his mid 80s, likes Werther's originals and crosswords, has always been a football fan, supports Charlton. Have bought him all the usual things grandads like over the last three decades - budget of around £25
Also gets a joint gift of a framed photo of the grandkids with my Grandma (who is getting seeds thanks for that idea upthread)

Uncle 1 - mid 60s into fitness, retired H&S exec in engineering, Welsh - also getting a bottle of wine, this is more of a token/fun gift we open after dinner budget of around £10-20

Uncle 2 - late 50s, lives in London, likes travel and 80s pop music, works in travel need a main gift, a fun gift and a birthday gift! Budget for all three gifts for him around £70

£3 for these sets at Morrisons

Another year another fantastic christmas thread. Thanks all.
My offering so far- I saw this Moriah Elizabeth plush in Home Bargains reduced to £2.99
https://home.bargains/product/51120d66-67e8-48f2-91cc-9a2562434703/moriah-elizabeth-sparkle-georgie-plush?qid=0dd0afc0134f87e9f59d511c93b61ae0
My now 11 year old wanted Moriah Elizabeth stuff last Christmas certainly, I imagine they're still popular.

I am looking for:
Teeny things to fit in DD's refillable calendar. Maybe some earrings but ones that are both cheap and hypoallergenic 😆 I ordered a few pairs from Starfish for now.
Other small things for gifting/stocking for DD11. We are on holiday abroad over Christmas so don't want to haul too much around. Main pressies are likely to be theatre tickets for the following year. Hoping to pop to yorkshire trading for some disney face masks.

We keep contemplating a robot lawn mower (would be gift from me to DH) happy to splurge for the right thing.

Want to reiterate how much I have appreciated all the suggestions- I have ordered multiple items from this thread.

For those looking for the Kew Gardens seeds at Thompson at Morgan, I visited their Facebook page and their was an ad for their seed clearance sale which took me to the clearance page with the Kew seeds listed.

Gah! I'm the poster who recommended the Bubble Panda sale - and my items have just arrived. I ordered three different mix-and-match boxes - and each box has arrived absolutely identical with no clue on the outside to the (differering) contents within. I now have to break the seal to see which one is which - which is sort of OK for my own DD's, but not ideal for the one I was intending as a birthday present later this month.

Any chance you could link to it please as I dont seem to get ads coming up, and I have been through all their posts going back a few weeks. Thanks

@RainbowZebraWarrior seed clearance here (don't see the Kew collection though)

Thanks. Yes, all the Kew ones are showing as full price (£3.99)

Fingers crossed they come.back down again.

Sorry for the very long link

Thanks so much for that! Just sorted mum's advent calendar 😁

For anyone else tempted by the bargainous Hotel Chocolat cream, my order just arrived with a BBE date of October 26.
So I'll have to drink it now (oh dear, how sad never mind).

Speaking of seeds, how about a Seed Calendar for those hard to buy for people? And there's a discount if you buy multiples!

@zacsGrannythat seed calendar is fantastic! Ordered for my mum. Thank you.

Thanks to whoever originally posted about the Yorkshire Trading Company. I'd never heard of them. Just got my order through, all carefully packed and in perfect condition. Lots of nice little gifts including a couple of bits for myself.

I have also treated myself to some Stripe and Stare non-wired bras for WFH days. And a single pair of knickers to bump it up to free postage and see whether they can really be worth the money.

Cross-posting this from the stocking fillers thread, little bits which may be good for stockings or making up a hamper/bundle

Some bits in the Dunelm Clearance with free C&C. They also have Dr PawPaw balms and lip balms, various printed cotton tea towels at £2 each and lots of dog toys.

@HairsprayBabe I think it was on the last thread, but Amazon have The Guinness Book of Football Records for £6.49 sounds good for Grandad

I bought some and can recommend them. They are fab. Perfect as little gifts as- but would also be ideal for homemade Advent Calendar’s or crackers - they are really lovely - I will be ordering some more nearer Christmas.

Anyone have an Argos code please? Spending over £80
