I'm a bit tipsy and very tired, but it's been a good day.

We're now into the two hundred and single figures

I am on the lookout for a couple of good quality t-shirts tomorrow, I know exactly what colour I want which should be easy enough in theory.......but I bet I won't find them.
<sigh>

I am intrigued 70, as I was clearing out my wardrobe I found that I have lots of crap t shirts so I am interested in your findings. My t shirts always get tiny holes about waist level and I think its sad domestic damage from where my belt rubs between material and sink when I am washing up (I do a lot of washing up).

I bought an M&S recently one purely because I liked the colour but it is really thin .
DH and DS have TShirts from Next , they do standard and premium cotton, both are good quality , wash really well , keep their colour etc.

I haven't found holes in mine (or theirs- but neither of them wash up !) .
Womens TShirts seem to be boxy and too short at the moment .

Yes, 70, sodding boxy short t-shirts need to die a death. I like a nice long length t-shirt, personally.

Another lovely day here. I'm just back from taking the dog out. It started to warm up a bit, so I cut it a little short. He's happy though, as it was a good sniffy one!

Uniqlo are often good for T-shirts with different fits. A lot of mine are boxy from next, but I’m size 8 and 5ft2 so they are plenty long enough. The beauty of being on the little side!

I really like Uniqlo but they don;t have the colours I'm after and I really dislike the Airism fabric , feels creepy on my skin. DS wears the gym tops that are made of that wicking fabric but not for me .

I will keep the M&S one even though it's thin , and found a dusty pink (not Barbie) in Sainsbury , so pleased with that

My DS has a TopMan t shirt which is lovely thick cotton, donkeys years old still good .

I'm 5'11". Finding clothes long enough is challenging!

I'm an in-the-middle 5'5"
My DD is tall (probably 5'8" , most of that is legs) and a 6-8 . She has sussed out the shops that fit her .
M&S do the Extra Long in the small sizes for trousers - she used to scorn M&S as a shop you go to Mum ( or couldn't possibly be anything for DD tastes ) but she got some smart , machine wash black work trousers there and forgave them. Now most of her workwear is M&S , Uniqlo or Next .
Nobodies Child for dresses , Levi jeans , Pull&Bear for summer wear .

M&S is pretty decent these days, I buy quite a lot there. I also am small enough to fit into a lot of the teen ranges and that saves money.

I’m wearing a nice thick white T-shirt from tu, blue light discount is brilliant and I’m always impressed with their stuff.

Have the day off today which is useful as I chipped the cusp off a molar off on Friday so managed to get a dentist appointment this afternoon. I hope its not going to be £££'s but I suspect it will be.

I was just celebrating getting the cat insurance claim approved as well. 🙄

being in June and so close to the summer holidays it’s pretty much Christmas now! So close, this slide happens so quick each year. Once we are into the 100s.

I need to dig out my embroidery and really start thinking about how we make it special for the kids this year.

Less than a week till the hundreds ooooh
We had overnight rain and off/on through the day . My plants are giddy with delight !

We had to empty our water butt to put it onto a better stand at the weekend. Yesterday's rain got it back to half full already! I'm rather pleased (as are the plants!).

I've had to rescue a few of my new plants from the border in the back garden as slugs are annihilating them. I'll stick them in the front instead. The slugs aren't keen on the south facing side! For now they're in pots until I can be bothered to transplant them.

Can't believe we're almost in the 100s! Plus it's birthday month for a load of us / our families this month!

My dentist is a superstar - she managed to bond some filler onto it and only charged me £95!!! If it doesn't last then I will have to have the old filing removed and a new white one put in (the one in there is a metal one from the 1980's!!) and that will probably cost around £200 but I am still delighted as I was expecting the c word (crown) which is mega £££'s. So phew.

I got a survey from Mumsnet re Christmas on Monday which I filled in. All about how much you spend and traditions etc.

Hurrah for the dentist, Magnolia!

I had my first day in the office with my new team. It was weird being in the same place but at a different desk. I had 2.5 years at the last desk. I'm nearer to the kitchen now though! 🤣

We are rattling along here
After yesterdays epic torrential rain and stormy lightning , it is all calm here .
Hurrah
By next week we'll be into the hundreds and at the end of June the halfway countdown (which is also my DD birthday . )

That's the rain we had the day before, 70. It was torrential on and off all day. The good news is that my previously empty water butt is now almost full again. Which is pleasing!

I bought a load of new plants recently but have had to remove some from the border as slugs were annihilating them. I put them in pots as a temp measure and I'll probably put them out the front, as the slugs aren't active on the south side of the house. I imagine they just bake to death!

Your DD has the perfect birthday, IMO. Our DD is two days before. Why's husband is also June. And Wreck (not seen her in a long time on here) and her DD are also June. I think June is a busy month on this thread for birthdays!

DS is also June!

On the Xmas survey front I did think why don't they just sent it to all of us on this thread 😂

I think I may have found a slug barrier. I got a block of dried compost from Amazon that you are supposed to add water to and it turns into compost. Its bloody awful and I couldn't use it for potting. Its very dry and fibrous even after adding water almost like coconut matting so I've spread it all around the base of my dahlia which was getting annihilated just to see and so far it looks like the slugs have stopped eating it. I will keep you posted.

Filthy rain again today <meh> it's no No Gardening /No Laundry sort of day . Dark even at 10.30am.
(All those people who complained about the hot weather - yes they DID have scared it away ! )

I made a Hairy Bikers recipe Cheese Souffle yesterday , it was nice enough , easier than a once cooked as you don;t have to time them to perfection ( being twice baked ) but I think I;ll stick to the regular ones .

Its horrible weather here too. I went to the gym and supermarket, dropped and collected DC from various training but now I think I will stay home, eat and watch the tv.

I made a souffle once and it was less scary than I thought it was going to be. I'm doing chicken pasta with spinach for dinner, its an Alex Hollywood recipe (ex wife of Paul) she is quite good for easy family meals.

We are back from our cruise - and knackered lol but we had a lovely time weather was great in the main but we did have rather an interesting crossing of the Bay of Biscay complete with 5.2m high waves there was a lot of up and down as well as side to side movements luckily neither me or hubby suffer from motion sickness so for us it was exhilarating if somewhat challenging trying to move around in the wheelchair. Tesco shop to do for delivery tomorrow and a take away for tea.

Ohhh. I dread the Bay of Biscay 🤢 DH and I were on a cruise a couple of years ago and we couldn't dock at Sicily we went to Spain instead Then the Captain did all he could to get us ahead of the storm, side stabilisers on made the ship rock more back to front ( but not side to side) . If I could get through that I could get through anything 😃
