This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

It's nearly time! November is tomorrow and Mariah Carey will be officially announcing the start of festivities Grin . Hope you're all well and just wanted to give you all a massive thank you so sharing these wonderful ideas and codes etc. It helps me SO MUCH. I know I don't post much on here (various things going on) but I appreciate this warm place of mn so much.

I want to get my baby nephew a collection of those 'that's not my...' books. They seem to be around £4 per item, or £16 for a collection of 4.

Has anyone any ideas where i could buy a bigger collection? Or somewhere they're cheaper individually?

I'm also looking for ideas for book storage to go with it. Like a nice looking, child friendly storage box or stand for books. Any creative suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

Sometimes b&m have a few of these in store. Not sure how much but I’d guess maybe £3 each

Moonlightfrog · 06/11/2025 08:04

I have got quite a bit done this week, almost finished DC’s (young adults). Has anyone seen any nice hoodies on offer? Ideally without brand names on them? (Not white fox etc..).

Also need a bargain lego set, DD1 has a huge collection of Lego but it has become tradition since she was small to have a set on Christmas Day, I have got her sister the Lego game boy, but my budget for dd2 is lower as I have spent too much in her already.

Also looking for art supplies (for adult), they already have loads of pens and paints but are always happy with more.

This vtech marble rush run is 50% off. It is on my youngests list (he has another set he loves and they all interconnect). He is 4 nearly 5 and him and my 8 year old have spent hours playing with it, so I heartily recomend!

Thank you for this have bought it for my grandson, a great find.

Notino have 20% off perfumes, aftershaves etc with the code fragrance. An extra 3% if you buy through the app. I’ve bought from them before and they are genuine products, fast delivery and well packaged.

sillygoof · 06/11/2025 09:18

Does anyone know if Starface (the pimple patches) does Black Friday? I want to order some of the limited editions but want a discount 🤣

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 06/11/2025 09:22

@Dolphintrainer ooh you’re lucky! M&S have screwed me over again. I only have 50p off mince pies and £1 off chutney, spices and biscuits for cheese. I don’t even eat any of those things 🤨
It’s like the Gary Barlow fiasco all over again lol.

Thanks so much for the Sparks heads up, I had 25% off Whistles so nabbed a shirt I’ve been lusting after!

Money off spends is back today with code XMAS60

John Lewis have started their Black Friday deals early, it seems. There's 20-25% off lots of beauty, inc Clarins, Origins, Molton Brown etc.

I got the Dior lip butter my teen was after for 20% off, so I was delighted with that.

I also had a free chocolate cracker in my JL rewards section in the app and £10 off various spends - so worth a check.

VelvetThunder · 06/11/2025 10:15

Matalan have some 20% off deals on home, knitwear and nightwear.

ISO jellycat Xmas hot chocolate if anyone sees one 👀

Southsiderg4 · 06/11/2025 10:40

I was in Morrisons yesterday and they had Forrero Rocher on offer, £5.50 down from £11 with a More card and also a decent sized selection box (an adult one) for £2.25. I stocked up! The challenge will be not opening any of it until Christmas…

zacsGranny · 06/11/2025 10:50

For anyone who remembers the Fiorelli debacle on the previous thread - I decided to clean the bag and keep it after never receiving a reply from the company. Today, after no communication from them, I received a refund!!!

I saw this irl the other day and was considering it for Xmas so I put a price watch on it & it’s dropped from when I first saw it. It’s a substantial piece of Lego

Thanks for this. It was on one of my twin's Christmas list.

Smyths Toys have some sets on great reductions and they are currently doing £5 off a £50 spend.

hollister have some lovely soft hoodies with very minimal / small logos - usually do some good Black Friday deals.

I'm not sure what size of set you're looking for, but amazon has a few discounted sets at the moment. I love the typewriter

Or the pixar lamp which is a bit bigger
