This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Apparently FIRST70 will give 70% off your first order with Amazon Haul

I can't seem to get this to work?!???

Can anyone get this to work???

ChristmasMad1 · 03/09/2025 19:22

Does anyone think Amazon Haul will do another sale?

In June they did 50%, July they did 50%, then 2 weeks ago was 70%?

Ewock · 03/09/2025 18:51

I could use my benefit code twice to get the 3 freebies, but didnt get the 20% off the 2nd time.

I done the same it didn’t give me the 20% off the first time but did the second time 😅

hugsandpugs · 03/09/2025 19:38

IlovePond · 03/09/2025 19:15

Thanks @hugsandpugs for the Benefit tip. I didn’t need either of my two orders, but will put them in my DIY a/c!

Bit annoyed that the £10 bag came into stock later, so two lots of postage, and that 20% off did kick in with first order, (but at least it worked with my second order).

Your welcome 😀

I wait all year for this thread ♥️ I need some help please. The only thing my teenage son has asked for this year, is some joggers that fit him. He's around 6'4 and lives in shorts as we can't find anything that doesn't show his ankles. Does anyone know where I can get some (bargainous 🤞) joggers for tall, medium built men please?

Hi

My son has the same issue at 6 4 1/2. He got some great ones in Uniqlo.

IlovePond · 03/09/2025 17:37

I signed up for Benefit and got the three free items as a welcome gift, but didn’t get 20% off or free shipping. The £10 bag was also unavailable- I’m a bit disappointed ☹️

Edited

Try now! I just ordered two bags

ChristmasMad1 · 03/09/2025 19:56

Does anyone know where I can get some cheap mugs/cups for my children for the Christmas Eve box?

Doesn't have to be a Christmas mug / cup but something cheap would be great as they always seems to get lost or broken 🙄

PearlsPearl · 03/09/2025 20:02

Argh I really want the benefit bag but sold out

EatingSleeping · 03/09/2025 20:06

fishfingersandchipsagain · 03/09/2025 13:00

Thanks @beetr00 I hadn’t seen it, but had figured out that was the process. The problem is that it won’t let me add money. Bizarrely the only way to sort it might be to sell something so it gets credited to the account 😅

If a friend has PayPal could they send you some friends and family and you give them the cash? @fishfingersandchipsagain

Mytribeof3 · 03/09/2025 20:07

The Benefit order I placed on Saturday arrived today. Thanks to the original poster for letting us know about the sale. Saved a fortune on make-up for teenage DDs.

a few Melissa & Doug offers

e.g. Barber shop down to £15

Just got a Melissa and Doug daily routines board. Thanks so much!

watchuswreckthemic · 03/09/2025 20:23

I think I was the original benefit poster @Mytribeof3! If anyone notices the £10 bag deal coming back out of sold out please let me know please- I’m eager to get it for my SIL who is a nightmare to buy for!

Does anyone have any great ideas for men gifts?
My husband doesn't drink. His hobby is fishing - and he has everything.
Not terribly interested in clothes and has loads of toiletries.
I have done 'experiences'

What does that leave???

Technically it’s clothes, but my husband liked the heated gilet I got him last year (there was a deal on at Amazon) - and might be good for fishing

Just need to check reviews and make sure the power bank is included as well

zacsGranny · 03/09/2025 20:31

@beetr00 yes he does

Just quickly catching up and I thought I read there that your son was sixty four and a half! <tired and scrolling too fast>

watchuswreckthemic · 03/09/2025 20:36

This mini brands fridge is £15, £20 cheaper then when I saw in Smyths last week but please do your own comparison checking!

Great idea, but he never feels the cold. Maybe I'll buy myself one though!

hby9628 · 03/09/2025 20:49

I struggle to get my husband big gifts as he buys stuff as & when he needs them so I keep a note of little bits I see through the year or if the kids spot something I’ll make a note and go back for it. Then I tend to get shower gel/products he uses. In Jan I picked up a sock shop advent calendar when it was on sale so he will have that through December too. He is a bit tricky to buy for

also on the list is

Ultimate Shortbread Dunkers - Slattery

The ultimate Christmas shortbread dunkers, large chunky rectangle chocolate covered shortbread with a handy plain top for maximum dunkage!

Home bargains and B&M have a good few out and all under the £3 mark.

@ApiratesaysYarrr @Hangingonbyathread @WhiskyandWater @AuntieDen @2025istheyeari really appreciate all the tall clothing suggestions, off to have a look through them now, thank you! ☺️

Iwaboite · 03/09/2025 21:08

I seem to remember from previous years that there was often a popular sock advent calendar. Can anyone remember what brand/store it was and I will keep my eye on it. Thank you!

Willow4987 · 03/09/2025 21:13

@Iwaboitethere was one from white stuff a couple of years ago that was a great deal due to a glitch in their systems

MaryOBlige · 03/09/2025 21:14

What is Amazon haul please?

hby9628 · 03/09/2025 21:21

@Iwaboitei got the sock shop one. Think it was about £25ish in the sale.

Dormouse1940 · 03/09/2025 21:22

Bit late this year, so sorry if it's already been mentioned but last year there was a Penhaligon's sale sometime in early autumn...I think. Does anyone know if there'll be something similar this year? Not bargainous at all so hoping!
