This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

@Elpheba re: cold feet. Search 'heated insoles' - they're rechargable inserts for shoes. A little bulky - so you might need to get a size up in the shoes you're going to use them in. The ones I've seen have a remote control so you can choose when in the day you turn them on. Think they only last a few hours, so wouldn't heat your feet all day, but good for when out and about/driving etc? I can't recommend a particular brand - a disabled friend has some and uses them in the evenings...

Can I please take advantage of your collective wisdom in all things… I really struggle with cold feet in the winter. Does anyone have any stand out winners that will help? I use Skechers slippers at the moment because I also need super thick soles. But would love any recommendations for others worth trying.
When I’m working (at home- desk based) I have my feet in an electric heated old lady foot pouffe thing which is brilliant. Do electric slippers exist that I can wear all over the house?! Or do I just need an old lady electric foot warmer in each room that I sit in? It’s even an issue in the car- hence why transportable ones would be AMAZING!

You can get orthopaedic chargeable insoles. They have a remote to change the temp and last around 6 hours I believe but also take as long to charge. Will hunt for a link but we got them for MIL last year at around £40 and still going strong.

Hi,
Has anyone bought a TCB gift card and then used it to pay for something online?

I am tempted by the cashback offer, but it’s a lot of money to risk if the gift card doesn’t work.

@IlovePond

Which gift card were you thinking about? If you read the details for the gift card you want it should say if it can be used online (for instance I've just read the Asda one and that mentions online use)

IlovePond · 02/09/2025 12:01

I was thinking Starbucks, Asda or Liberty @Justhereforthechristmasthreads

Thanks - still thinking about it.

Theraffarian · 02/09/2025 12:24

@IlovePond every time topcashback has an offer I use it to buy a gift card , always Asda online one and have never had a problem redeeming them .

ChasingThePuck · 02/09/2025 12:47

I've just used someone's link and registered at topcashback - got my brother £25 gift card for pub dining and got myself £7 back so thank you so much.

Lego 3 in 1 playful cat is £20, or 2 for £20 in Argos

https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4464862

I have just picked up 2 for £20, for my niece and my goddaughter.

Boots have selected Tonie characters on 2 for £20.

I got both Care Bear characters for my niece, but there are 21 different characters innthe offer - some more for little ones, some conservation ones.

Anyone else having trouble with the soccer04 website. Not letting me pay.
Also if anyone has any ideas for a Christmas present for a mid 20s female Thai teacher who's coming to England for the first time this Christmas, I would love to find something original and that she can take back easily

WhisperingAngelisnotbad · 02/09/2025 13:38

DD would quite like a Lego cat- are there any other creator sets that would work with that offer, do you think?

I can’t remember if it was on the pre-bargain threads but for Playmobil Luna Skye are having a clearance. I’ve bought from them before and have just ordered the Wiltopia bundle to break up into a main present and some stocking fillers. If you go on the menu there are some reduced advent calendars as well.

Lego minifigs have released a Spider-Man spiderverse collection of 12 figures today. They are in blind boxes and not a bargain but you can use an app called Minifig Scan (white and yellow logo) to scan the QR code on the box to see which minifig is inside.
Might be fun as a home made advent for a Spidey fan.
This app saved us a fortune and much disappointment!

I am really struggling keeping up with the thread as I have to scroll through everything and cannot go to the next page. Any advice?

At the top there is an arrow going up and down, press that and it will give you the most recent posts

The same app works for the lego F1 mini cars too. Saved us lots of duplicates getting the specific ones that my son was after.

Latest in beauty have a teen skin kit worth £200 down to £40, save an extra 10% with code KITTEEN10 looks really good and I think DDs will love it, lots of different products for different skin issues.

This looks great for my DD who is turning 13 in January - thank you!!

Ehunt1 · 02/09/2025 16:36

Thanks @WeMeetInFairIthilien for the Argos Lego cat. It’s a 3in1 build and my daughter will love that it can be built as a pigeon! I got the P for pizza game too.

ihavespoken · 02/09/2025 16:38

This is quite spenny to start with but might be of interest - Origins have a free full sized Plantscription SP25 moisturiser using code MOISTURISER if you spend over £70. https://www.origins.co.uk/special-offers

They have some gift sets on there but prob only a "bargain" if you always use Origins and are restocking anyway.
Free delivery and you can Klarna too

Sorry I’ve been searching but can’t find a post about Good Housekeeping 5 for £5, did I imagine it or can anyone point me in the right direction please? 🙏🏻

beetr00 · 02/09/2025 17:07

@dottyaboutstripes think the offer ended 31/10/25

but here is original post by @LostMyRubySlippers

Hi,
Has anyone bought a TCB gift card and then used it to pay for something online?

I am tempted by the cashback offer, but it’s a lot of money to risk if the gift card doesn’t work.

I got one for m&s this morning, used it straight away online along with my sparks 20% offer, cashback was payable straight away so effectively £25 lipstick for £14.55 very happy 😊
