I'm taking a punt here that we won't need another thread before Christmas, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

First they didn’t reply for days and days blaming a computer glitch. then finally do reply giving a total AI generated non answer ‘sorry you had a bad experience’ with no follow up contact details to try to get my actual query sorted. Total waste of time

If you bought anything using Quidco bonus cashback recently, how long did it take to track? or did it track at all?

I made about 8-10 transactions, only one of them tracked. This morning I used £10 bonus for C&C order over £50 from Boots, it hasn't tracked yet. If not bonus I'd get a better deal with points. Not sure if to cancel and buy without Quidco?

My only Quidco this winter didn't track and the appeal was rejected by the retailer. Very annoying! Last winter I got loads of bonuses and deals but not meant to be on my exciting purchase of a steam mop....

Thank you all so much. We've had a tricky year with long covid and all the delights that brings. But all of you have helped so much, in the organisation and spotting of bargains, but mostly just by being lovely and the christas chat. I truly hope you all have the most wonderful Christmas 🎄

Am I the only one who is hoping there will be some sales threads?

I have spoken to someone via the converse customer service number today and they have confirmed that mine are on route and likely to be delivered tomorrow. I ordered some on behalf of my mum also and they have said they are yet to be collected by parcel force yesterday so should come over the next few days

Can’t see how it would be a fake site as they were on the proper converse website?

These have an extra 50% off when you add to basket so comes down to £6 instead of £40

@Sideorderofchips takes over and runs the bargains threads all the way from January until restie takes over in Autumn. Usually lots of great deals to be found particularly in the summer

This is going to sound a bit wet but I'm genuinely a bit sad that the main threads are nearly over! It's become such a routine part of my day to check in and read the threads (and order some bargains of course!) and it's great how busy they have been. As everyone has said thank you to all that create them and those that contribute. I've enjoyed the chat, the bargains and all the ideas. This little thread makes Christmas!

Im still kicking myself that I didn’t order the Deans shortbread , even though I had it in my basket soooo many times ! Looking forward to the ongoing pre Christmas threads though , maybe we will find the super cheap bargains to post in those this year .
