Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Thank you all ❤️💐 so lovely of you. It will be a hard Christmas, we got her a cushion with DFIL photo on it with ‘always by your side’ written underneath (He passed away last year). I’m sure that will bring her some comfort at least ❤️

What are my chances of getting a Virgin experience refunded? Someone rang me and the payment went through twice and I have two of the same experiences! It was the Harris Tweed bag making. Have WhatsApp Ed but no phone number for customer service. Doh!

To follow on from the above, I have found these threads comforting this year in amongst bereavement I have suffered and anxiety in over drive. What’s really struck me is literally the kindness of strangers helping each other and sharing discount codes/bargains so everyone gets a good deal at this time of year.

Hi, someone on another thread has just flagged up that Boots have dropped the £50 minimum spend for the Estée Lauder Blockbuster, meaning you can buy it for £85.

TCB are also offering 15% c/b for Boots. It never seems to track for me, but worth a shot!

Finally used the 50% off Etsy code. Ordered some Tiffens 😋

My boots topcashback hasn't tracked from the 20% no7 deal the other day so I'm reluctant to trust it now. Annoying as I may not have ordered quite so much!
