Thread ?17? the one where I've lost count

I have no idea what thread number we're on now Blush

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

It's a shame quite a few of us had their Sock Shop orders go missing.

My mum mentioned that RM have had issues in her area (stafg shortages) and have a huge bavklog, so i wonder whether that could be impacting things?

(FWIW, I did 2 orders and received both fine)

mousegiggles1 · 18/12/2024 12:23

I ordered from sock shop, it turned up fine. I do however want to return 2 of the lounge trousers, at 5"10 they are a little short.
So if anyone was hoping for a size 16 in black or navy, I think. Happy to post for the price I paid. Just a thought x

Someone recommended a travel adaptor that had usb ports and was also a charging bank. Can anyone remember what it was called?

@44PumpLane I have no idea about the website , so you would have to check its ok , shipping times etc , there is express shipping at £19 😒 but if you were desperate it might be worth a look https://www.golfteestore.com/null-daphne-s-headcovers-daphne-s-highland-cow-golf-driver-head-cover/

Thanks for looking, checked trustpilot and only 3 reviews which are quite poor so I'll avoid this one- I appreciate the searching though.

@Jfw82 I have had a ring round my local club and couple of stockists but I'll start going a bit further afield to see if I can get one. Thank you.

Can anyone think of something similar to a Rubik’s cube for a 4 year old please? Doesn’t have to be an actual cube, just something small that they will like playing with. They already have a kaleidoscope.

Oldest is getting a Rubik's cube in stocking and want something comparable for youngest.

A Rubiks ball? Very satisfying and easy to use. You push the colours to move them around to get the right colours in the right holes.

Home bargains is your friend here they sell lots of rubik stuff. They do Rubik's animals that are a suitable puzzle for little ones and Rubik's fidget toys.

Thanks but this is the hybrid cover (which I believe is slightly smaller than the Driver cover.....I think)! :)

SootspriteSearcher · 18/12/2024 16:18

Anyone real life shopping Primark has reduced all their Christmas clothing, pyjamas, decorations and some gifts too.

I got some wicked things including makeup brushes for £4, hello kitty, simpsons. But also saw lots of grinch reduced and pet accessories.

Also in the entertainer you can use birthday codes instore so if they don't have it available online. And there's lots of gifts you can buy for £5 when you spend £10. I got dd the gremlins gizmo fuggler and then a window one for £5. Then the discount on top.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/12/2024 16:23

Does it have to be the Daphne one, as Gamola do one too.
