I have no idea what thread number we're on now Blush

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Stock informer is a handy site http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1

That was for @44PumpLane. The quote vanished!

hugsandpugs · 18/12/2024 16:55

For anyone trying to get hold of the sock shop they are usually quick to reply on Instagram

YouCanLetItGo · 18/12/2024 17:10

@44PumpLane ah sorry, missed that!

TimPat · 18/12/2024 17:15

2 for £20 on Boux avenue satin pyjamas on Youknowwhos, there's a also a 10% off first order which didn't work for me but YKWDELIVERY did work for free delivery which I was happy with as the postage charge was steep at £4.49+, they sent me the delivery code when I abandoned my basket because I didn't want to pay for postage!

I've ordered for myself so not fussed if they arrive before Christmas but if you do want them in time today is last day to order.

Looks a good deal as the same style of pyjamas are £26-31 each on boux avenue's own site and apparently that's them reduced.

I think I might have seen this mentioned on here already so apologies if I am repeating

Use code GETAPP50 in the Etsy app for 50% off, up to £20 off!

(so anything less than £40 will be half price. Anything over, it will knock £20 off)

CatOfTheLand · 18/12/2024 17:30

NotAdultingToday · 18/12/2024 15:33

Fahlo have 20% offer with code TRACK20, i cant remember who was asking

My son has asked santa for a giant lollipop filled with toys?! I have looked but cant seem to find what he is looking for anyone have an ideas?

Pounstretcher have plastic lollipops filled with lollipops for £2.50. You could fill with toys?

NoWordForFluffy · 18/12/2024 16:23

Does it have to be the Daphne one, as Gamola do one too.

Ah thank you for looking, I've seen that while I've been searching I just don't like it as much!

I'm probably resigned to not getting it for Christmas but it will be back in stock in Jan in time for Dad's birthday- I now just need to think of an alternative gift!

hugsandpugs · 18/12/2024 17:47

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s shared amazing bargains over the last couple of months. It’s been a great help for me and I’ve managed to get way more things for less money which I’m so grateful for.

I’ll still be about in the lead up to Xmas to see if anything else barganious gets posted (clear FOMO going on here! 😂) but I’ll probably not be as active as I have been. We need to do an emergency trip up to England on Friday as had a call to say DMIL has taken a turn for the worse in hospital and it could be a matter of days. 😔

Again, thank you so much 🙏🤩

WeaselTrap · 18/12/2024 18:55

Please can someone remind me of the boxes that fit the fahlo bracelets/cards? Were they from Amazon??? Ta!

Openmouthinsertfood · 18/12/2024 18:57

I'm so sorry @hugsandpugs Flowers My mum was in hospital Christmas time last year and very sadly she passed. I really wish you and your family and your mum the best. Take care. x

Thanks for this! I tried it the other day and it wasn’t working but did this time and stacked with a 5% offer as I’d left something in my basket! I bought remeltable picky pads for some teens that will find them very useful! They’ll come after Christmas now but that’s ok with me. Much appreciated!

Hi! Is this only for new users on the app?

Hi! Is this only for new users on the app?

@HeartandSeoul the only terms and conditions that show for the offer on website are general ones from last year (including that codes are one use per customer) Worth giving it a go I think

Ah, thinking of you. It's horrid at Christmas. It was my mam too. Take care & thanks for all your help on this brilliant thread. ❤️ 🎄

Waffles21 · 18/12/2024 19:54

@hugsandpugs thank you for all the bargains! Sending best wishes for your mil, take care ❤️

Apologies if already posted. I haven't been keeping up with the thread. I remember someone asking about Bakugan and saw this on marks and spencer.

I've enjoyed reading these threads - thank you for all the bargains. I have something which may help. I bought DS the Melissa and Doug Magic Set from Amazon. On the product page there are two options - the magic set at £39.95 and a 'builders toy' at £15.70. If you select 'builders toy' the title and picture remain as the magic set. I ordered the 'builders toy' hoping the magic set would come and it did! My friend also did the same. So I got the Melissa and Doug Magic Set for £15.70. (Obviously I can't guarantee it won't be the builders toy that arrives but it worked for me and my friend).

Thanks for this, I've just purchased, fingers crossed we also receive the magic set!

If anyone is looking for toys from the entertainer, probably best in person. They were having issues with click and collect this week. Lots of bargains in store though.

20% off at sho with xmas20 and they do a Stanley cup style cup thing. Really good for kids bottles as you can get all sorts of different lids for them.

Anewuser · 18/12/2024 20:19

@hugsandpugs sorry to hear your MIL is poorly.

Thank you for all the bargains you have posted.

I really don’t need anything else but still check every day due to FOMO.

whatk8ydid · 18/12/2024 20:21

Just found a one time use Argos code in my emails, £8 off an £80 spend if any use to anyone - expires❤ at midnight though so be quick!
