Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

@hugsandpugs - I saw some pairs of kids’ Xmas pjs in Lidl the other day, but very much the last few bits left after the drop a couple of weeks back. You might get lucky. Otherwise Primark? Asda?

I’ll pop up to my local Lidl in a bit and have a look. Asda had none in her size today and our nearest primark is an hour train ride away 🙈

I have just got some myself and I just wanted to flag that I am finding it almost impossible to squeeze out any product- it’s really painful as the bottles are too hard and the product too thick. I have resorted to taking the tops off instead.

I was going to get some for my DSM, but haven’t as she wouldn’t manage these bottles at all.

It’s probably just me, but I thought I would mention it.

If you ordered from Flying flowers and got a duff bunch, happy to say that they have offered to replace my order (the white bunch that was mostly bashed up yellow daisies).

The mixed colours bunch that I ordered at the same time was apparently lovely and has been very well received so I’m pleased with that.

Goodness, this thread has been a great one over the years. I'm only having a problem with one gift now which is secondhand (dj decks requested by dd) first eBay seller refused to send after selling to me so now got to wait for eBay to escalate and get money back, then I went via Vinted to get another and that person is refusing to respond to messages now. I've never had any issues with either before- think there are probably more chancers around at this time of year maybe. Incredibly frustrating, no idea what to do if the Vinted one fails too (he's only got until tomorrow)

@hugsandpugs If you can't find any PJs, have you got a Christmas t shirt and plain leggings they could wear?

I've ordered many times from Notino and would have no hesitation from buying from them. Have never had a problem

They sold them as a set though - a different scent lotion and gel is not a set that can be gifted. They also used an image of a boxed gift set of the fragrances to advertise - not loose samples (like other places tell you they are). To add, they used videos of CT Magic Cream twice to advertise this box… Too much deliberate misleading to incite sales.

Glad that they have now had a Trust Pilot started as they delete bad reviews and create fake ones, I will be contacting trading standards personally.

I've been given a full refund.

Which is only fair because you really can't send out stuff like that. I think they got overwhelmed, and rather than cancel orders or offer an alternative date to give some time to deliver the product they should, they split the very limited number of white flowers they had across all the orders, included sub standard stems because they had to use everything they had, then realised it was a fifth of the size it should be, so panicked and whacked in a bunch of yellow filler flowers. You just can't do that imho.

You can't really expect them any cheaper than under £7. They're so lovely. I was wrapping earlier, & I could smell the Valentte candles through the boxes. Gorgeous.
