I have no idea what thread number we're on now Blush

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

@LetMeJustCheckMyCitrusPocket not sure how much the ramen bowl is usually? There is one on Vinted that randomly comes with a hoodie for £45. You could always make an offer?
If it's a popular one or hard to get you do usually end up spending over the odds.

@YouCanLetItGo thank you for finding that and letting me know. It is expensive isn't it, aaargh these Jellycats 😬

Not a problem at all, I know what it’s like when you can’t find what you’re after! I’m seeing Father Christmas in Jarrolds next Saturday so I’ll see if it’s there and if so I’ll drop you a message. Bill and Bert’s in Colchester might be worth a try too?

@ClaraLane that would be fab, thank you again, and I'll have a look at Bill and Berts now!

Mince3141 · 15/12/2024 11:38

Hotel Chocolat had offers on various boxes on the site too. I got the h boxes for 2 for £30 the other day and I think sleeksters are 2 for £50. Unfortunately the Quidco cashback boost was a couple of days ago but it doesn't seem to have tracked anyway!

FeltCarrot · 15/12/2024 11:48

@LetMeJustCheckMyCitrusPocket Have just checked two jellycat stockists in my town and no Ramen bowls to be had. Sorry.

Thank you so much @FeltCarrot for checking anyway, I'm so grateful for everyone looking out for me. The search continues! 😁

My flying flowers arrived late last night and they are grand. I ordered all white but like pp I have a good mix of yellow in there. Fine for £12.20 delivered I felt.

@CatCatCatCatCatCatCat what a good find, thank you so much for checking! It's not giving me the option of adding to cart to buy, I'll double check on my laptop and will give them a ring to check if it's still in stock. 🙂

Supermariossister1 · 15/12/2024 12:51

I have a £20 off £100 spend specifically for LEGO at Argos if anyone would like :)

LePetitMaman · 15/12/2024 13:04

Can I ask for some advice for your "best unicorns" please?

DD (almost 5) has asked for a "real life baby unicorn" and after some negotiation that Father Christmas can't deliver live animals, she has conceded to a "rainbow dancing moving tricks unicorn toy." Which is better, but having looked at all reviews of things that may fit the bill, they all look beyond shite.

Can anyone give a personal review from their child owning anything similar that they would really recommend or really advise against?

onedayatatime73 · 15/12/2024 13:05

Have I missed out on the Flying Flowers offer?
Also. I've not used Tesco Clubcard vouchers before. You can double the value of them with some partners. So I just doubled them and bought some great cookware from Denby. Am elated

Can anyone recommend a Charcuterie type gift, vacuum packed meat that doesn't need to be in the fridge, preferably from a smaller company. Bargains would be a bonus!

https://www.somersetcharcuterie.com

Not a bargain, but delicious and doesn’t need to be refrigerated.

Thanks to the PP who mentioned the flowers and white deal, I have sampled the mint bar and its delicious. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer. They'd be a great gift for anyone eating gluten free.

Try Harrison’s of Greyabbey in NI. There’s no website but you can get their phone number online and they will post if they have it. They have a massive selection.

There's a shop called brand academy Store that has the ramen jellycat in stock for 36. A pop up for 10% off your first order appears too and trust pilot reviews are good

Absolute bargain and big enough for one of my DS. Many thanks.

Puffalicious · 15/12/2024 15:54

RL shopping this morning and this is an absolute steal! The Oddballs hats are fabulous - thick & warm & £20 usually (I've just ordered two from Oddballs- different colors, but still!).

This is Sainsbury's and with a Nectar card is £10. Sadly, don't have anyone left this would be suitable for (nephew's team rivals are green, so that wouldn't go down well 😆).

Sainsburys had lots of lovely Christmas home ware - I got some beautiful candles- 1/3 off, & knot-wear has 20% off.

Argos have loads of games in their but one get another half price. DS3 has requested a game at the last minute, and I was chuffed it was in the offer, so bought an extra game for birthday in Feb.
