Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

I am new to Wowcher and just got stung £4.99 to redeem and post this hamper. Just incase anyone else doesn't know. As when you checkout there's no mention of extra costs. Still a good deal I think, just not as good as I thought.

We bought our Nordman Fir Christmas tree (6-7ft) today from Homebase. It had an extra 30% off at the till making it £24.50.

Lots of Barbie and Bluey and Gabi’s Dollhouse stuff in Aldi just now, together with the Elemis dupe products.

Squishmallows in B&M Bargains and I also saw ONE red velvet initial sack, (I know people have been looking for these amongst the sea of beige that is this year’s offering).

Wow did I pick the wrong bunch.

Left them in water to arrange later, to discover three of the very limited blooms that weren't the godawful yellow were indeed snapped and another stem was entirely headless.

I must have got really unlucky with the quality, but there's no getting around them sending a bunch a third of the size and mainly yellow.

What I should have got, Vs what arrived, and that's a generous picture before all the unusable stems were removed.

I can't see how they could have ever charged £35-40 full price for these.

I went real life shopping in MWarehouse today as I passed a branch. I got an LED beanie hat for DH. (I know I probably would have got it cheaper on Amazon, but it was there and was in working order!)

On a whim I asked the person on the till if they would match the online price, (with the 20% off). After a bit of debate, the answer was yes, so it is worth asking!

Got a great bargain hoodie from Boohooman (ironically for me as it’s a fall out boy band hoodie). Only a xs oversized fit left but was down from £40 to £12 then got an extra 10% off code from TCB and hopefully 12% cash back if it tracks. That brought it down to £10.80. Jam donut are offering 10% instant cash back on boohooman gift cards so got it for £9.80 in the end with next day delivery 🚚 (plus hopefully the 12% cash back if it tracks 🤞)
