Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work
Stock informer is a handy site ^http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1^

I just ordered a wee extra gift for DH- a small canvas print of the DC. It is only 30x 20cm but was £6 delivered so a nice wee add on. I decided as it was so small it wouldn't need a hanging wire, but you can add one for £3 if you want to.

Code is 12KFL9FZ

The website is here

Make sure you select the correct size (30x20).

I ordered this over 20 mins ago but still don't have a confirmation email... Did yours arrive straight away? Have you used them before? I feel a bit nervous now!

Hohohopeful · 09/12/2024 00:31

@filthyforfirth I haven't had confirmation from them yet, but hoping tit will be OK as many people commented on HUKD about it and it has good reviews on trust pilot.

More requests for help, sorry!
I'm looking for -
*Ramen bowls x 3
*golf practice cup thingy (technical 😉)
*gift for grandparents in their 80s. No jigsaws or tech, they are only partially mobile.

Thank you for the vogue help previously. All set up!

Typo for ramen bowls.

I need help again! My DD wants nesting unicorns! Anyone seen anything like this? Or alternatively any other really cute nesting/stacking dolls?

I got lovely Xmas stacking dolls on eBay

Could anyone suggest a lovely leather dog collar for a medium sized pooch
I've had a Google but would prefer a personal recommendation. Thanks!

Ann Rees padded leather collars are beautiful and extremely well made. They're handmade to order and should last a lifetime, I've been a customer for 15+ years - I have multiple dogs and they all have one.

The Abel and Cole farce continues, as they've now re-charged me for the refund they gave me last week! 🙈

Also, I went to put a second order on, and the 'free' Prosecco added itself to the order costing £13.50. However, they only deducted £10 from the order, so I was going to have to pay £3.50 for it. I cancelled the order.

VelvetThunder · 09/12/2024 06:53

Primark also have some noodle bowls.

Ladybaga · 09/12/2024 07:02

Thanks @Hohohopeful nice little extra for the grandparents!

Some police and doctor role play sets half price on argos here might not be the best quality but only £5.

Does anyone have any hot tips for buying a Frog Bike? I would normally go with secondhand but short on time and energy this year to manage marketplace. Any good source of secondhand or bargainous discounted frog bikes for a very tired mama who doesn’t want to mess up the main present.

There are specific Facebook groups for buying and selling frog bikes if that helps?

AutumnLeavesSeptember · 09/12/2024 07:58

The Bike Club second hand shop on eBay is excellent- I got two kids Squish bikes there last year. Delivered promptly in excellent condition. I asked for a discount because I was buying two and they shaved a bit off.

Does anyone have any ideas for items to include in homemade crackers? 12yr old boy, 40yr old man, 77yr old lady!

I’ve done mini tools before, little games, scratch cards so looking for new inspiration (low cost ideally!)

Just tried the elf poreless putty primer that we had as sample pots with our orders and I think I’d actually order a full size pot as it’s a great primer. It’s made my skin feel like silk! 🙏

Thank you but have you noticed that all the reviews for this item are about cake tins?🤔
