One more sleep until December!! Get your Christmas duvets, stollen and mulled wine and the ready as the festive season is well and truly here!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Stock informer is a handy site http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1

Camelcamelcamel is a great amazon price tracking tool http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com

The following links compare price products including postage

www.find-dvd.co.uk

Massive thanks to the PP who re-posted the sock shop codes as I'd missed them. Both stacked.

For anyone still wanting them:
LOUNGE20 for 2 lounge wear for £20 & a further 10% with Socknews10

I got 4 sets of lounge wear for DP & our 3 boys for the elves to bring on Xmas Eve. Ideal as not Christmas themed so can wear all year round. I ordered the burgundy so a little festive- green also available.

I'm really chuffed. The 4 sets & 6 pairs of socks for me (2 for1 deal too) came to £121.99, but with codes I paid £80.99 delivered with a free pair of socks thrown in. Don't you just love it when you see the total amount fly downwards?

Thanks MN, ❤️ these threads.

It’s a great company with lovely stuff!

When I done my first order a few days ago I managed to get two lounge pants, 4 bralettes, 3 thongs, a pair of skull festive socks and a free pair of boxers all for £40.65 delivered.

Lots of useful things and treats for Christmas like nuts, seedy crispbread, relish, chocolate wine, chocolate wafer rolls, chicken gravy, tea pigs tea, Leon tomato ketchup. We really enjoy it, there are crispy and sweets for the children too. Wish it had been this cheap when I bought ours almost tempted to get another!

So fed up, made a big order with Dunelm, first package came with DHL, second was delivered by Evri but not to me so had to chase Evri then Dunelm who sent a replacement with DHL. Third parcel has been at Evri depot a week and now has apparently been damaged beyond repair. Dunelm has now sent replacements coming tomorrow but the robin mugs are no longer available so will refund. Has anyone seen any alternative mugs with a robin on please?

No problem.
This might be a particularly stupid suggestion, or you might not have one near by. I was in dunelm today and they did look like they’d been ransacked!! Their click and collect is really good if you’ve a store near by and sometimes you can get stuff in the store (either in stock or click and collect) that you can’t home delivered

edited because I’ve just spotted these. Bit more than the dunelm ones Cook Serve Enjoy but cute

Thank you I don’t think Prime ones work at the weekend, but I do know someone with a blue light card

If you are using blue light please be careful- I did this a couple of weeks ago for Odeon & it adds extra cost at the point of booking. Basically made it more expensive than if I’d gone with odeon directly! I had checked the prices beforehand but the extra fees varied according to time of day & it was not clear.
i was fuming & emailed blc to complain but ended up using the vouchers anyway as I wanted to book the tickets!
will not be using again though

I’ve still heard nothing from SpaceNK and Deans - if my biscuits ever arrive, should they be damaged, I will be complaining. I am annoyed enough by now as it is!

Still waiting for LF and Boots but have more faith they will - eventually - appear as I have had confirmation emails.

I ordered my Deans hamper on Nov 25th and got an email to say it would come between 1-23rd Dec but to email them if I needed it sooner. I need it by the 20th so I emailed them and got a lovely reply within the hour to say they would despatch it straight away and then another to say it's arriving tomorrow. He apologised for the wait saying they had been inundated with orders.

butmumineedit · 04/12/2024 20:28

Champagnecharlieismyname re Nightstore I ordered last Friday night and my order arrived on Monday this week. So maybe there is a bulk of orders missing somewhere. Have to say quality is brilliant .

I think given they are within the time limit they said and they’ve been completely inundated and are honouring the deal you have to cut them a bit of slack. It’s a shame for the person who had their item damaged, but kind of inevitable a few will unfortunately be damaged given the number of items shipped.

Pinkladymel · 04/12/2024 20:34

Did anyone order Outsmarted from the official website and have it come from Amazon? I'm so confused... I'm sweating that I double ordered 😂

minsmum · 04/12/2024 20:43

My Deans package arrived today, I ordered on the 24th, no damage at all. The only problem is it's all so pretty I don't want to give any of it away

Puffalicious · 04/12/2024 20:44

hugsandpugs · 04/12/2024 19:26

Aww thank you 🙏 happy to help 😊

It is so very much appreciated.

I'd ordered bamboo long-sleeved tops for both my boys going travelling in summer. Sockshop were the only company anywhere near reasonably priced. BAM are just far, far too expensive these days, I wouldn't use them any more (but they keep sending me free socks in the post every 3/4 months to lure me back. I'm not complaining!🤣).

IsThisIt2021 · 04/12/2024 20:47

Did I imagine it or did someone post saying the heroes, roses tubs etc will be at Tesco 6th December for £2.50?

I’ve read it somewhere but not sure where and no amount of searching Google will bring anything up

jocktamsonsbairn · 04/12/2024 20:50

@BourbonsAreOverated

I wasn't slating them at all! I said I'd received a lovely email and that they had said they had been inundated. Absolutely no complaints from me and I don't think my post implied that there was, so don't know why I need to cut them some slack?! I've had great communication from them - just needed it by the 20th as some of it is for a school thing and school closes on the 20th. They said to email if it was needed before the 23rd so I did and it was all very easy going.

2 queries in one night, my Christmas shopping has officially kicked off! Has anyone got any recommendations for a craft/ drawing gift for a 3 year old girl?

How are you getting this so cheap please? It’s showing £44.99 for me…

Iwanttoputmytreeup · 04/12/2024 20:59

@Spinningaround18 Scroll down the advert and lower down it's got the reduced price

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 04/12/2024 20:59

@Pinkladymel yep lots of things come through Amazon courier now even if you don't order from Amazon. My Outsmarted definitely did and I've had personalised photo orders all shipped via Amazon courier (and actually the Amazon courier shipments are far better than any of my actual Amazon ordereds)

hugsandpugs · 04/12/2024 21:20

Lots of Xmas jumpers in the sale at boohoo man. Just ordered teenage DS one and managed to get an extra 15% off with the code XMAS15.

Was £25 down to £7 & with extra 15% off it came down to £5.95 and free delivery 🚚 🥳

Also used TCB for 12% cash back (hopefully it tracks) and purchased a gift card to pay for that and some festive boxers for it via jam donut so had 50p back straight away for that!
