Posh adult "stocking" presents

I need some posh small presents. 4 for men and 4 for women. Maybe 10/15 quid each? I want them to be a bit out of the ordinary-and something they won't want to recycle immediately. The recipients are between 23 and 28.Any ideas?

Sharing a lovely product I buy each year as secret santas but would work really well in an adult stocking. These beautiful artisan soaps are handmade in Leeds by people in recovery from addiction problems. Aside from offering a sense of community, it offers the chance to build valuable life and employability skills. They come beautifully wrapped, there is a nice choice of scents, and are a steal at a fiver. A lovely little extra that really does a lot of good too

@IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece Someone gave my dd a flowery tool kit as a housewarming present. Proper tools but flowery. She's used it loads! I've messaged her to ask for the brand.

This thread is amazing, I have so many tabs open linking to different websites - just need to get ordering now!

As an aside, does anyone have any recommendations for F1 products/gifts? DS (21) loves it but I always struggle to find any merch except the odd t-shirt and keyring.

Thanks! 😀

bitjel · 20/11/2024 14:24

I have or have given a few items on these lists that are excellent:
the wristlets for when you wash your face (use every day)
chanel mirror
perfume atomizer (I have the penhaligons and gave DS20 a blue one from amazon for his birthday and he loves it)
monica vinader mini travel jewellery case

I also gave a duo set clinique black/pink honey last year that was very welcome
VB eyeliner

@Restlessinthenorth That’s lovely. I’m going to order some.

Restlessinthenorth · 20/11/2024 16:36

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie ah that's ace. You won't be disappointed! I'm going to an event they will be sold at in person tomorrow so going to grab some more myself

Waffles21 · 20/11/2024 17:21

@bitjel do you know if you can use the Penhaligon atomiser with other brands of perfume please? I really like it but tend to wear le labo rather than Penhaligons. Thanks

I don't know about "posh" but here are some adult ideas (that aren't utter tat).

Book of stamps
Coffee gift card
Nice ball point pen
Small triple Milled soap
Small packet of decent chocolate

Every time I read this post I laugh at the idea of buying someone in their twenties a book of stamps.

HeyDougie · 20/11/2024 18:34

No one sends post in the mail anymore in that age group either.

I very very much doubt that I am unique.

Maybe not unique, but I don't think I've ever met someone in their early twenties who liked posh things who'd appreciate bird seed as a Christmas gift.

It really depends though, doesn't it? One of the adults in the OP is 28. My dd is 29 and has recently bought a house. She's loving feeding the birds in the garden and would really enjoy receiving food for them. In fact, I might get her some fat balls for her stocking now I've seen this! :)

Pigtailsandall · 20/11/2024 20:44

I would think that bird feeders, letter writing etc are very grannycore and would appeal to a lot of hipsterish young people! My 17yo niece and 18yo goddaughter are obsessed with making and sending handmade cards. They also love crocheting and taking care of (& propagating) houseplants.

Come to think of it, I might get them a beautiful letterset/note cards and the pen mentioned upthread for xmas

HannahDefoesChristmasHamper · 20/11/2024 20:58

I'm buying notelets and stamps for my young adults on the back of this thread.
They'll get used to write to their grandparents if nothing else.

Itsmeamandaberry · 20/11/2024 22:02

@MounjaroUser I'm with you. I would be confused at getting anything to feed birds with

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 20/11/2024 22:08

Thank you @AgathaChristmas 🎁

My son would love a birdfeeder and food to be honest.

sleepwouldbenice · 21/11/2024 08:56

Maybe everyone could accept that some of these ideas aren't for them but just scroll by? Everyone is different!

tattiescone10 · 21/11/2024 09:11

As a woman who fits in this age bracket there's some ideas here that are fab and others I would stick straight into charity but everyone's tastes are different 🤪

Ones I loved;
Mini loccotaine set
Molton brown minis
Coffee gift card
Posh chocolate/truffles

What about some charcuterie accompaniments? Flavoured bread oil, mini honey and/or chutney, packet of crackers.
Fancy lip balms?

DS2 (26) has a selection of bird feeder. This has reminded me to get him something bird related for the stocking.

So far I've bought a few things off this thread. @Raffles76 I ordered some of the Welsh candles and wax melts. The wax melts smell gorgeous. The Cwtch one for my Welsh speaking friend.
