Posh adult "stocking" presents

I need some posh small presents. 4 for men and 4 for women. Maybe 10/15 quid each? I want them to be a bit out of the ordinary-and something they won't want to recycle immediately. The recipients are between 23 and 28.Any ideas?

@bitjel do you know if you can use the Penhaligon atomiser with other brands of perfume please? I really like it but tend to wear le labo rather than Penhaligons. Thanks

I'll check tonight and report back!

As a woman who fits in this age bracket there's some ideas here that are fab and others I would stick straight into charity but everyone's tastes are different 🤪

Ones I loved;
Mini loccotaine set
Molton brown minis
Coffee gift card
Posh chocolate/truffles

What about some charcuterie accompaniments? Flavoured bread oil, mini honey and/or chutney, packet of crackers.
Fancy lip balms?

I did cheese and locally made chutney for a male recipient once and it seemed to go down well.

Lots of ideas for things for women, I need some ideas for men too! Really struggling as they don't like football/drinking/stuff about hobbies. Gift cards for clothes shops and the cinema is about all I can come up with. One of them is very picky about food so that's a difficult area and the other loves food.

Tryonemoretime · 21/11/2024 19:47

@HeyDougie
I once filled a shallow basket with cheeses and various pickles for a male relative.....went down well!

Garlicbest · 21/11/2024 19:58

Most men like toys & gadgets (as do I!) This isn't the best list I've ever seen, but covers a lot of bases. I'm now busy talking myself out of getting myself a pair of digital drum sticks 😳

NOTHS has a slightly less laddish 'for men' list, some good ideas:

Yard of Jaffa Cakes or Oreos
Paul Smith socks if you're feeling rich
Books

@HeyDougie this is an M&S one that is round. Temu have them cheaper. Also Morrisons have a giant square one for £3.50. Doesn’t look as good but easier to fill.

I have the Penhalighans ones and use for different perfumes. I also mix to create my own scents.

Got these from amazon which are just as good, so have one in my handbags and main coat/jacket pockets as well as in the car.
Link not working for some reason but can attest they're good.

beat me to the punch..yep the penhaligons worked with my other bottles. And 100% agree the amazon ones are just as good. DS 20 has one and I bought one for his Gf this year too. The white one even looks almost excatly like my penhaligons one.

Every time I read this post I laugh at the idea of buying someone in their twenties a book of stamps.

Went from thinking the same thing, to thinking that, actually, I always like a book of stamps in my purse. Then comes the sad thought that I am mid 40's and way beyond the age demographic specified, no matter how young I feel.

I'm going to have to get bigger stockings!!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a lip balm that looks a bit more "manly"? One of the men is on a journey towards his feminine side.....

Incidentally-I gave my dil one of those bird feeders that suctions to a window recently. She loves it and she's 24.

Where did you get it from please?

CurlewKate · 23/11/2024 07:06

@HeyDougie I got it from TicToc Shop- buy this one is from the RSPB-they have several different ones, I think. www.chubbymealworms.co.uk/products/rspb-window-bird-feeder

Unfortunately squirrels broke our window bird feeders 😭

I have just discovered this website - wentworthpuzzles.com, it has some individual lovely Christmas crackers with amazingly beautiful small jigsaws inside.

Does this mean that the birds poo ends up going down the window?

This lip balm is brilliant and appropriately manly, I think: https://theordinary.com/en-gb/squalane-amino-acids-lip-balm-100657.html

They have some actual shops as well as online if you only want to buy the one thing.

Horrified by how expensive the larger ones are though. I would love to find some quality adult jigsaws which aren't so expensive.
