@InDreamland a Peppa pig supermarket set. Not even that big, I don’t think, but oversized apparently…

That's crazy then, just that for £19.99 p&p. I was charged £4.99 and ordered loads including a couple of bulky items (Squishmallow and My Little Pony Izzy plush).

InDreamland · 17/08/2024 20:37

@MilkyBadBoy was it something like this? Or this one?

Lidlisthebusiness · 17/08/2024 21:09

Oooh that one looks really nice. That is a shame about the p&p.

sorryiasked · 18/08/2024 06:44

@MilkyBadBoy Very have that set for £29.99 but they often do eg 40% off discount for new customers.

MrsCrimbo74 · 18/08/2024 08:18

I’ve just bought an old fashioned style leather football from Etsy for dbil, it’s £22.91 plus £4.00 delivery but he’ll be over the moon with it and they do other clubs, it’s on sale at the moment x

No, it's Fraser Group - formely Sports Direct Group. It includes House of Fraser, Sports Direct, Game, Jack Wills, GAME, Flannels, USC, Evans Cycles, Matches Fashion, and bespoke tailors Gieves & Hawkes. I'm sure there are a few more. They also own part of Asos

They all sell the same but only Studio have had further discounts on sale toys which is why I posted about Studio deals, rather than the others.

To be honest £4.99 delivery is annoying if you don't like paying delivery costs, but the deep discounts still make it worth the cost.

I refuse to shop in sports direct now as they won’t give a refund for returns, only a credit note. Don’t know if the whole group of shops is the same? Obviously different if shopping online due to distance selling laws.

@Clucket87 i know iPads are more expensive than generic tablets but they are worth it. We still have an iPad mini from 8 years ago with kids gams on. In the same time we have gone through 4 generic ones which are now all in landfill. Even if the recipient doesn’t get that long out of it someone will.

Are the iPads easy to lock down for small hands?
I like the idea of the Amazon Kindle Kids because it can be limited and I've always used a kindle and never an iPad.
But I wouldn't be without my iPhone so I doubt it's too different. Xx

Given how popular the themed Lush bath bombs seem to be, this may be of interest to some. Becky's Emporium do themed gift sets of bath bombs. You get three in a gift wrapped box. At the moment they're on offer, two boxes for £20. There's all sorts of different ones of different themes and characters eg SpongeBob, Harry Potter, Prime, Fortnite, Disney, mario, gaming, Pokémon , bluey, fnaf, etc.

Yes, my son has to send a request to me before he can download apps or whatever, then if he opens safari his google account restrictions apply.

TheBigFish · 18/08/2024 11:49

@Twitchyeyebrow have you bought from Becky's Emporium before? The bath bomb gift sets do look nice, just can't find lots of reviews online.

woodwaj · 18/08/2024 12:04

Is a discount code for Game unheard of? 🤔

Im not the OP of this post, but her Google reviews seem mostly good. She also has an ebay shop with decent reviews. (The first bath bomb I was presented with on here was a large, veiny penis. Bleurgh)

Delivery is £3.99 though, so it's not a bargain to me. (£24 for six bath bombs) Mind, I'm not a bath bomb fan, anyway as I dont like psychadelic dyes and artificial fragrance. I just thought I'd take a look to see what else she might sell.

TheGirlWhoLived · 18/08/2024 13:16

I managed to get the tiger who came to tea jigsaw book for £1.50 - I set a camel camel alert and as soon as it was back in stock (although 4 week delivery!) I sneaked it in. Really happy with that so thanks to the og poster

Gracesquirrel · 18/08/2024 14:17

Hot Diamonds has a code SALE50 to take 50% off their sale items that have already been reduced by at least 50% works on Outlet only as far as I can see and doesn't stack with any of the MSE codes (but its a larger discount anyway). Code valid until midnight. I just got 2 pendants and a silver chain for £27.40 delivered.

Arthien · 18/08/2024 15:01

For anyone who's buying Yoto cards- try signing up to your local library's app for a range of audiobooks. Mine is Borrowbox and if using a laptop or desktop, it allows you to download (doesn't seem to be an option on the mobile app) and you could then add it to a "make your own" card.

psuedocream3 · 18/08/2024 15:52

Really cheap prices on this ELEM prosecco and jewellery gift set on Amazon... Cheapest I can see this ELEM set is £53.90 on Vino.com which is discounted. £15.13 or cheaper with subscribe and save (£14.37)
Link

There is also a rose slightly more expensive at £17.62
Link

There are and have been other alcohol sets heavily discounted today on Amazon, I've not been quick enough to post here before they've gone out of stock. These will go fast.

Looks like a great filler gift for a late teen, parent, friend, teacher gift etc

To throw a spanner in the works, my kids have used the Amazon tablets and we’ve got on brilliantly with them for 6 years! Still have the same ones.
