Oodie have 50% off their poncho towels/beach oodies beach oodie

We had already done oodies for the kids previously and these were very well received last Christmas and much loved for beach trips (especially when a little chiller)

Are these a lot better than the cheaper versions? Looks like the oodie ones are cotton whereas the others are microfibre, which I just can’t bear!

Anyone seen any nice gifts for book readers? I’ve already got a reading cushion for reading in bed and buying a book series for them. 11 and 18.

Ilovepugs2017 · 31/08/2024 10:28

Thanks to the person who shared the N07 discount I ordered a mascara foundation and illuminator all for £12.32!! 👌😀

I know you said they are book readers, but if either of them have a kindle maybe an arm stand that attaches to their bed frame and a clicker? For hands free reading 😊

Etsy and not on the high street have some really nice book marks.

Has anyone spotted The Nightmare Before Christmas homeware range in Primark please? Tiktok is full of videos showing a fantasic selection but the stores all seem to be in France or Italy unfortunately

Restlessinthenorth · 31/08/2024 10:57

Another one who has benefitted from the fab boots deal. Essentially got a bronzer and brow gel for free, as have only paid £15, which is roughly what the cost of the foundation was! Needed them all, so I'm pleased with that!

17caterpillars1mouse · 31/08/2024 10:59

@D20 just seen in my local Debbie's they had cool space themed book lights, a astronaut or a UFO I think. I didn't have a close look so they may have had other designs too and didn't see price, but they looked nice, a bit different

Discountsforcarers is exactly what the title says. Money off vouchers for all manner of things. Easy to sign up and as an aside you don’t need proof that your a career if you want to be cheeky and sign up anyway. Always worth a look if your ordering from a website.

Cheeky?

There's a word for people like this. And it's not cheeky.

Yup I ordered from there last Christmas and I plan to do the same this year. I don’t know how to tell if a site is unsecured without a warning popping up so I didn’t think twice about it until you said that!

Using your link, the site is showing as secure on both a mobile and laptop for me and no dodgy spellings. Wonder if the pp has typed something in instead of using the link.

Jfw82 · 31/08/2024 11:13

@D20 yes much better as not microfibres and proper towel material. We had dock and bay ponchos before and kids much prefer these (and I prefer mine 😂)

Bookishly are a good site, they have framed book quotes, tote bags, sweaters, that kind of thing. I think there’s 15% off for new customers.

Maybe one of those clip on book lights for reading in the dark - I love mine! Also you can get a thing for a bedside table where you can put your book and it keeps it open on the page you’re on - it’s shaped like a house roof and you put the book on it cover up - I don’t know if that makes any sense haha

I want an acrylic book vase that popped up on my fb. Cheapest from Temu or Shien but I've not seen one in two life yet. You can get different books.

nicky2512 · 31/08/2024 12:42

@D20 what about one of the scratch off posters of 100 books everyone should read. DD who is 22 got one as a present last year and she loved it.

I've never heard of Debbie's, and Googling isn't helping? Where are you based?

D20 · 31/08/2024 13:20

Maybe it’s an auto correct of Dobbies - the garden centre?

I know the ones you mean but they but have very particular tastes which I could probably guarantee aren’t on there!

They are cute but I too was wondering if it would just look like tat IRL.

I’m certain they’ve had book lights but not used them. I know those book ‘houses’ you are talking about. It has just brought to mind the books that sit on the shelf that light up a scene. I’ll see if I can find anything appropriate.

Any suggestions for advent calendars for DS12 and DD10? Previous years I have put small sweet packets inside a DIY advent calendar but don't think this will cut it anymore!
