That Lego set is marvellous

Well done!! I spent ages in the run up to Christmas looking for bargains on that, and felt quite smug at managing to stack various deals to get it for £77 in November. I've not seen it cheaper since, so £67 is fantastic! It's the best of the Dreamzzz sets too, IMO, so I'm sure your son will be really happy.

Seems you did pretty well yourself getting it for that price six months ago! He has recently become obssessed with Dreamzzz and recently got the flying school bus which he loved!

Does anyone have a code for Smiths? EARLY20 isn't working anymore. My previous order was glitchy and it wouldnt let me remove items from my basket so I abandoned it. I want my 20%!!

BurntBakedBeans · 16/06/2024 21:33

@tabbycat985 if he hasn't got a Squishmallow type toy, they're fab - like a cross-between a soft toy and a huggable pillow. I got a copy-cat one from Aldi before Christmas for my 13 year old boy and thought he might reject it for being too babyish but he loves it because so tactile (he's neurodiverse, so likes sensory things).

The real Squishmallow ones are quite pricey, but you can get franchise character ones, like this:
Hedwig £18.99
Pokemon £29.99

or something more generic like this one, which is reduced at Argos:
Red Frilled Lizard £13

OatFlatWhiteForMe · 16/06/2024 21:48

Squishmallow would be my suggestion too.

Have you seen this 'dupe' Lego version? It looks like a pretty good approximation for a fraction of the price...

Ooh, this looks very good at that price! Is onbuy legit?? Never heard of them before and must check there's a way to ship hete, fingers crossed....

I’ve just been putting stuff I don’t really need in my basket (sale items) & once I got to £30 it automatically applied 20% off without me having to enter a code etc…?

NotMeekNotObedient · 16/06/2024 21:59

Thanks @goinguphill for the WH Smith info.

I got a few bits of lego/duplo which were reduced plus the 'extra20' code!

Sorry, I linked the wrong one! Meant to link this one, which is a similar price, at AliExpress. I've not ordered from there, but I think I've seen others on this group say they've ordered from them and not had a problem with the items they've received.
I've no idea whether you'd be able to get postage to Ireland though...

Speaking of Lego dreamzz, the camper van is £25 on Amazon at the mo.

lego dreamzz

Thank you for this, sent on to my sister to get for my sons bday! Great price!

Thanks for the Smiths tip, I hadn't realised it did it automatically! Got a few more ticked off the list and giving the air hockey a go for my two as a joint gift at Christmas!

sorryiasked · 17/06/2024 05:38

@tabbycat985 I recently had a similar request and got one of these jellycat sports amusables which was well received.

Thank you! I've ordered many times from Aliexpress and they do ship here. Excellent price, I could even stretch to buying the one with the box!

40% off everything at WhiteFox at the moment with code Flash40
For the next 3.5 hours only (started 9pm)
Still very popular with teenagers

hby9628 · 17/06/2024 21:50

@LittleMousewithcloggson I was just about to post about white fox. Just been stitched up for £42 for some shorts & a tshirt.

ArthriticAardvark · 17/06/2024 21:53

I’m nervous that white fox say they don’t accept returns on sale items. Is that even legal, I thought there were rules on distance selling? Plus I only knew them for hoodies, when I look the website doesn’t display the kind of image I want to encourage in my pre teen dd. Maybe I’m being an old fuddy duddy.

hby9628 · 17/06/2024 22:01

@ArthriticAardvark I brought something on sale before but it wasn't right so rather than faff with a return I just put it on Vinted at the sale price so it went quickly. I think returns can be a pain
The hoodies are decent but they are big.
My DD is a size 10 & she is happy in a S/M. It's oversized on her but that's what she wants

Australian based company so different laws re distance selling
Most teenagers only wear the hoodies, T shirts, joggers and shorts and they are absolutely fine and very good quality
Agree with you about some of the other “outfits”!
Not worth trying to return but, as pp said, very easy to sell on
My Youngest DD is also a size 10 and has a mixture of Xs/s and s/m
Eldest is a 16 and wears M/L or L/XL (very baggy)

Wow it's lovely to see others thinking of Christmas!

Helllooooo9!!!

I've changed name since last year but a regular every year for the last 5 years or so!

I've got dc some bargains over the last few months and so this thread is great to see!

Thanks all.

mumonthehill · 18/06/2024 05:45

Just place marking!!

MJ333 · 18/06/2024 08:54

Smiggle have a code to make it 40% off sale rather than the 30% that’s already applied online. It’s VIPTAF40. Just restocked my present box with things like packs of gel pens, note pad sets etc etc. spent £50.10 to get free delivery and saved £70!

Lou98x · 18/06/2024 10:38

Just popping on to ask if anyone has seen/sees any deals on soft play blocks (Like a step, slide, etc.)?

No rush as I am thinking of getting some for my little one for Christmas - just if anyone spots a good deal!! TIA x
