It's been a blast, but I feel ready to de-Christmas earlier than usual this year. I'm over it 🤪

Did u put your tree up in November,?

Parker231 · 26/12/2023 10:33

29th or 30th for our house - chance for a good clean to start the next year.

WashItTomorrow · 26/12/2023 10:33

No. It’s only just been up over a week.

Elphame · 26/12/2023 10:34

Mine has been up for just a week.

It will come down on the 5th January. I couldn’t stand putting one up at the start of December

LadyMacbethWasMisunderstood · 26/12/2023 10:35

No. For us Christmas properly started yesterday, not ended. I’ll keep it going as long as possible. Not till 6th January as my mother used to. But definitely until 2nd when I go back to work.

ShufflingAlong · 26/12/2023 10:37

Mine went up on the 25th November and will be taken down Tuesday morning 2nd Jan before I go back to work.

I love the twinkly lights on the tree so I try and get the most out of having the tree up but when I go back to work after the break then I want everything packed away.

Repop · 26/12/2023 10:38

Yes coming down tonight, life is already back to normal and was working last night, so just want house back to normal too.

Notsonifty50 · 26/12/2023 10:38

Why would you do that? It's only the second day of Christmas!

Crazyinlove123 · 26/12/2023 10:38

I will take mine down on Saturday. I would do it before but I’m busy today then working the rest of the week.

FloofCloud · 26/12/2023 10:42

No, but my cats have half dismantled decs and needles today - zoomies crazy morning!

No. I like my tree up for my birthday and NYE.

Soccermumamir · 26/12/2023 10:48

No I love Boxing Day. It's the best day for me 🙂 Mine will go down before New Year's Day as I can't have a tree up when I bring a new year in.

EllaPaella · 26/12/2023 10:49

No way.. it's only boxing day! We put ours up early this year (the first weekend of December because it was snowing and felt very festive) but I still won't take it down until the 2nd or 3rd January.

Jacfrost · 26/12/2023 10:49

People wetting their knickers to put their trees up in November and then taking them down on the 2nd day of Christmas really makes me laugh

ActuallyChristmas · 26/12/2023 10:50

Ours came early by our standards, on the 12th. The company we use recycles and the collection is 4th of Jan. I’m ok with this but would prefer if it was up until the 6th - the traditional day for taking decisions down

Did u put your tree up in November,?

It went up on the 2nd December, so two weeks earlier than usual.

No. But then we dont put decorations up before the end of school, which was the 15th December.

Parker231 · 26/12/2023 10:50

We count that Christmas ends on 25 December.

elfintinsel · 26/12/2023 10:50

It is still Christmas!

Snippit · 26/12/2023 10:50

Go for it. I haven’t been able to put mine up for 5 years as one of the dogs tiddles up it 🤦‍♀️To be honest I don’t miss it, I compensate with other ornaments.

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 26/12/2023 10:51

No - definitely not! Our decorations went up about a week before Christmas and will come down 5th January .

Everyone has their own traditions

Purplecatshopaholic · 26/12/2023 10:52

My friend is. She only puts one up for her daughter, and takes it down again as soon as possible. Bit sad, but each to their own i guess!

PuffyShirt · 26/12/2023 10:52

Ours have only been up for just over a week.

We have 2 and they are both still looking very fresh and no needle drop (Fraser firs are fantastic).

If I was one of those weirdos that puts the tree up in November, I’d probably be sick of it now, but ours will be up until NY day.
