Reastie · 11/12/2023 07:18

This thread title made me think I should make up a 12 days of christmas song for all the main bargains we've got! Thanks@Yalz and @ApiratesaysYarrr for the inspo on the title.

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

@Twonka and all the other people waiting for their cheese, I just had this email from them:

"Apologies for the delay with your order, unfortunately we can't guarantee delivery dates.

However, as you have placed the order before the Christmas Cut off date you will receive this before Christmas.

Once the order has been dispatched you will receive a confirmation email with all the required tracking details included.

Apologies for the inconvenience."

They seem confident we will receive them before the day, so fingers crossed!

Does anyone have any recommendations for heated gloves? I think they've been mentioned already but I can't find it! Not too expensive, for women 🙏

MrsChristiesChristmasCake · 20/12/2023 13:14

I'm also looking for a good word game for my mum, who's really into writing. Any fun ones? My dad got her "Turn a Phrase" last year, which was good!

Christmas789 · 20/12/2023 13:22

Does anyone have any recommendations for a tablet around £100? It’s for my 70 year old Dad to read the news, check emails/Facebook etc. thank you.

Fabricwitch · 20/12/2023 13:23

Dunnes Stores have lots of Christmas PJs in sale (eg fluffy women's ones are down to €5) and they should come to ROI on time, not sure about NI or the rest of the UK

Wallaroo21 · 20/12/2023 15:17

I got my chuckling cheese dispatch email!

OkyDoke · 20/12/2023 15:23

@Wallaroo21 good to hear, I'm refreshing for mine! Ordered 14/12!

Not sure if it's been posted but Jojo Maman have started their sale, some Christmas Jellycats in it too (just got 2 elves for my boys for next year!)

Thanks so much for posting this, I just ordered a star, snowflake and bauble for £39 with free delivery tomorrow into my closest Next store! I was actually planning on going into Selfridges tomorrow to look for the Mince Pie JellyCat, no need now 😊😊

Extra 25% off sale at ASOS and still guaranteeing pre- Christmas delivery.

The discount % is dropping every hour though. Lots of Nike, North Face etc in the sale. I’ve just picked up a North Face down jacket for less than half price.

I got all excited about this but the skirt I was looking at in the sale at £21 is now up to £30 on sale. 😡

Rainbowshit · 20/12/2023 16:08

Agh. Need a nice gift for my SIL £10. Any ideas?

fishfingersandchipsagain · 20/12/2023 17:16

A bit of a niche request, but you guys usually know the best of everything!

Can anyone recommend a book about Amsterdam? We’re going for just a couple of days. Teens have never been. So I’m looking for something that will tell them enough about it to appreciate it, but without trying to pack in an agenda. We are likely to spend our time just wondering around, chilling, and having lunch/coffee.

Ideally more coffee table book than guide book. Something with a bit about the history, a bit about the architecture, a bit about the geography/area.

I realise I may be looking for something that doesn’t exist. But if it goes exist you guys will know about it.

handmademitlove · 20/12/2023 17:47

@Christmas789 you should be able to pick up a lenovo M8 for under £100. We have got several lenovo tablets and we bought one for my MiL last year for similar use!

Yeknom · 20/12/2023 18:28

@fishfingersandchipsagain I'm not sure if there's a more current one, but I really like Wallpaper travel guides. They make a nice change from lonely planet and DK

Yeknom · 20/12/2023 18:28

@fishfingersandchipsagain sorry here's a link Wallpaper* City Guide Amsterdam amzn.eu/d/1ET22iy

My turtle doves order arrived. Feels lovely...but I stupidly went for the lucky dip neck warmers, thinking I didn't really mind what colour.
But they're not like the ones shown in photos - the material used has flowery patterns. Still nice for the right person, but there's one I don't think I can gift.

Has anyone seen any good lindt ball deals please x

Member212711 · 20/12/2023 19:56

My cheese order arrived a couple of days ago (huge thanks to the OP). And it is most definitely worth the wait. Really well presented, great box and nicely packaged. Cheese isn't half bad either!

Howisitnovember · 20/12/2023 20:00

Anyone have any ideas how to get reasonably priced flowers delivered? Thanks

Hibernatalie · 20/12/2023 20:08

Anyone have any ideas how to get reasonably priced flowers delivered? Thanks

Have a look over on the referrals board and you’ll get a referral code for Bloom & Wild which makes a big difference- I think the flower deliveries start at less than £20 once you’ve applied the discount.
