It is after all the festive period!

I'll get my coat.

Oh that's brilliant!

Roseshavethorns · 17/10/2023 16:00

Terry's chocolate orange (all varieties) are Superstar products at Asda. Cost £1.50 with 75p into cash pot.

£10 for Baileys on Amazon currently. It’s £13 in Tesco on offer at moment so this is a good deal.

Thank you for this. I always buy a few bottles as presents for various people (and me!).

Oh, sorry, I commented when I read your comment @WhatICallMyUsername, failed to read the rest of the thread. 🤦‍♀️

Great minds @Realfastfoodie I only added it later!

Thanks for the Amazon offer - I managed to get £4 off a fingerling, which for reasons known only to herself DD is desperate for! I never get anything from Amazon so am delighted.

gingeristhenewblack43 · 17/10/2023 17:16

@shinny the Baileys on Amazon for £10 is 70cl compared to Tesco that have 1ltr bottles for £13.

dizzygirl1 · 17/10/2023 17:45

AliasGraceful · 17/10/2023 13:43

Also £3.40 in other sellers, which is on a 2 for £60 offer - 128 for £6.

Thank you, I've used the other sellers offer, a good contribution for the food bank, and DD

Turtleoo · 17/10/2023 17:51

Thank you so much @jamrolypolyandcustard , I am now the delighted owner of a £35 Megalodon truck. Would never have thought to go back and check Sainsbury's again.

We’ve got a couple of Marble Rush sets and I think they’re so much better than other marble runs for younger kids - big chunky pieces, then it builds into something really stable to play with. My youngest had the sort of set that came with actual glass marbles and it was too tricky to build, then fell apart all the time.

Thank you. Do you think the launch pad one on its own will be ok

Qwerty21 · 17/10/2023 17:56

Hickry · 17/10/2023 09:53

@Qwerty21 I can't help as I've not tried that specific brand/style of marble run but with how you describe your DS I'd say it's a good choice. They do look more sturdy to build and play with. My youngest is nearly five and I've been looking at them too for the same reason. He's a good little builder but a bit heavy handed and will get super upset every time if he were to knock a bit over that's just been built! So I'm watching your replies too.

Is buying another set too an option so he has plenty of pieces to combine? Or asking a relative to get a set too? Last year I bought 3 sets of magnet tiles so ds has a good collection. I got them all via Amazon warehouse. Cheaper than regular price and it's usually just stuff people have returned!

I did consider getting another set but I wasn't sure if they'd feel a bit disappointed that two of their gifts were practically the same thing. I'll have to have a think on it. Thanks

Yes you’re right! Should have mentioned it was 70cl. Sometimes easier to use Amazon tho 🤷‍♀️

CanIPutTheTreeUpYet · 17/10/2023 18:27

If you sign up for their newsletter (there's a banner at the top of the home page) it'll give you a 15% off code right away.

PopcornAndGummyBears · 17/10/2023 19:32

I can second/third/whatever the Dunnes Oodies - got them last year for my two 12 year olds and they are great. We bought the adult ones (kids ones I’d say would be suitable for up to about age 7/8, but much older than that I’d go for adult ones) and they are well worn and still looking great.

I am on the hunt for a large soft toy - as large as possible and as cheap as possible. Last year I got a massive squishmallow style shark (probably around 100cm in length I think) from TK Maxx for about £20 and looking for something similar this year. It’s actually for a charity event, not for Christmas, so price needs to be low but it needs to be big enough to look impressive and make 800 teenage girls want to enter a competition to win it! I’m in NI and relatively housebound so online order would be ideal, or if not, then something DH could go and pick up locally on my behalf.

hby9628 · 17/10/2023 19:34

@animalcrossingfan2021 I got an email telling me about it then it was on my app when I went on

I had an email and a push notification.

Badsisters · 17/10/2023 19:38

@MrsChristiesChristmasCake have you ordered?

Think it's for new customers and over £80 but this is £10 off I think xx

Qwerty21 · 17/10/2023 17:53

I think it will be fab on its own, it looks like a decent size and everything. It comes with a book of instructions to follow to build it too.

YorkshireWelsh · 17/10/2023 20:00

@PopcornAndGummyBears I saw some fairly sizeable ones in Asda recently; I was primarily focused on the ginormous dinosaur for DS until DH intervened (I’m a soft touch) but I'm sure the had others that might appeal more to teenage girls 😂

SomethingOfTheNight · 17/10/2023 20:05

Quick word of caution on the M&S prize; I won £5 off food/clothes etc but it had to be used within 10 days (or thereabouts I think) so don't be tempted to save it until Christmas or it'll have expired.

PopcornAndGummyBears · 17/10/2023 20:08

@YorkshireWelsh I’ll get DH to check Asda, but our local one is pretty small and crap so I doubt they’ll have any in stock.

Would rather avoid IKEA and go for something a little less recognisable if possible, but that’s definitely a good back up - thank you!
