Thank you so much @jamrolypolyandcustard , I am now the delighted owner of a £35 Megalodon truck. Would never have thought to go back and check Sainsbury's again.

You're v welcome!!

CanIPutTheTreeUpYet · 17/10/2023 20:15

Our local Asda doesn't have them but the one in the nearest city did. I may or may not have squealed that I want a massive dinosaur. I may or may not be in my late 30s. I think there were big dinosaurs and elephants available. My DH led me away before I had a chance to convince him we need one.

choc27 · 17/10/2023 20:26

Anyone seen any Dunelm codes? Need to get the Harry Potter stuff and it's adding up to a lot!

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 17/10/2023 20:26

@PopcornAndGummyBears

Not sure if Argos deliver to you but if they do are any of these suitable?

Bear

Unicorn

Panda

Giraffe

Smileatthesmallthings · 17/10/2023 20:44

@PopcornAndGummyBears My TKMaxx had some huge soft toy offerings in today. Didn't clock the prices because we already have enough stuffies of every size.

Christmasmcchristmasface · 17/10/2023 20:50

@PopcornAndGummyBears if you are anywhere near the big Asda home store at yorkgate it’s probably your best bet.
in terms of the big toy selection it, newtownards, Downpatrick and Omagh would be recommended tries

Soscrewed · 17/10/2023 21:06

@PopcornAndGummyBears aldi have done big bears online fir the last couple of years. I one was a sloth. Used for school guess the bears birthday.

17caterpillars1mouse · 17/10/2023 21:06

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads

That panda is amazing and cheap. My panda loving 7 year old would love it. If only they did an equally large and cheap elephant for my Ellie loving 5 year old. Has anybody seen any?

Seamist22 · 17/10/2023 21:13

I need a giant elephant too if anyone sees one!!

Mojodojocasahaus · 17/10/2023 21:15

I’m after a giant squishy Guinea pig too

dcadmamagain · 17/10/2023 21:24

Oooh. Do we only get the cash back once or for each terrys orange we buy?!…..

dramalamma · 17/10/2023 21:31

PopcornAndGummyBears · 17/10/2023 19:32

I can second/third/whatever the Dunnes Oodies - got them last year for my two 12 year olds and they are great. We bought the adult ones (kids ones I’d say would be suitable for up to about age 7/8, but much older than that I’d go for adult ones) and they are well worn and still looking great.

I am on the hunt for a large soft toy - as large as possible and as cheap as possible. Last year I got a massive squishmallow style shark (probably around 100cm in length I think) from TK Maxx for about £20 and looking for something similar this year. It’s actually for a charity event, not for Christmas, so price needs to be low but it needs to be big enough to look impressive and make 800 teenage girls want to enter a competition to win it! I’m in NI and relatively housebound so online order would be ideal, or if not, then something DH could go and pick up locally on my behalf.

Have you tried Argos? Dd for the bear last year and loves it - very soft and the right size for hugging - tho I guess the squishmallows might have more appeal for teens. www.argos.co.uk/search/100cm-soft-toy/?clickOrigin=searchbar:home:auto:100c:100cm+soft+toy

TooManyAbbreviations · 17/10/2023 21:38

Blade & Rose have the Peter Rabbit Festive outfit on offer and also have an offer of a free hat with orders over £10, the code is on the website too.
I have loads of outfits from there but not tried any hats so can’t say what they are like

Has anyone seen any decent large bean bags anywhere please? Preferably suitable for gaming so high backed and under £50 in a good neutral colour (but not beige/black) thanks

Xmasgifts · 17/10/2023 21:42

TK Maxx have some really large squishies in, all kinds of animals and think they weee about £20

Blessedbethefruitz · 17/10/2023 21:47

The works has a giant stitch stuffy, not sure if they're where you are?

Seamist22 · 17/10/2023 21:48

@CottonHeadedNinnyMug thank you, that elephant is perfect!

Soscrewed · 17/10/2023 22:08

MSEAUTUMN gets 5% off (rubbish really) and free delivery from Everything5pounds until the 22nd.

CanIPutTheTreeUpYet · 17/10/2023 22:21

@Xmasgifts eBay, on the nose at £49.99 but includes free delivery, I'm pretty sure this is the one we have, 7 years on and the material is still in great condition. We have added more beans over the years (well, squished smaller beanbags in as it's so much easier to wash the outer cover when most of the beans are contained!) But it's withstood being DHs beanbag for a year or two before becoming the teens and having all their mates using it.eBay Beanbag

PopcornAndGummyBears · 17/10/2023 22:30

Thanks all for the plushies suggestions. I’ll see if DH can get up to TK Maxx in the next few days to investigate. The Argos ones look like good value, but perhaps a little young in style. It’s a hard balance to strike to get something which is a soft toy but cool enough for teenage girls! The squishy style ones are great as they are popular with teens, but they are expensive! I have found some on Amazon, but they are closer to £30-£35 for the really big ones, and it’s a risk when we don’t know what they’re like in reality.

VeruccaSalty · 17/10/2023 23:36

There was some chat about Japanese snack pillows/pudding push on previous thread. Might be the kind of thing a teenager girl would go for. This is cheapest could find on Amazon but Chinese sites also an option.

VeruccaSalty · 17/10/2023 23:43

We have this one. Was about tenner from China. Little white rabbits get grubby quickly

Thanks @CanIPutTheTreeUpYet will have a look at this one now, is it quite a dark grey on person? Would prefer lighter but other than that looks perfect
