Hi,

Not sure what's going on this year, but I got into the festive spirit super early!

And... thinking about what I want for Christmas this year, thought I'd ask you too! What do you hope you'll get?

I'm hoping for:
A polene bag
A gold pendant
Some oils for my neom diffuser
A gold pendant for my necklace
Anddddd of course... chocolate!

I've been a bugger for just buying what I want this year so my list isn't very long, would love some Ugg Tasman slippers. Would also love the Lego Assembly Square set but that won't happen 😂 oh and a more reasonable Bagpuss Warmie.

Ahahaha this is how I ended up with a short Christmas list, buying myself everything I wanted this year 😂

I've just had my birthday and DH bought me a huge hydroculture Pachira (money tree). I've been looking at them online for ages, it's beautiful, tall and with stunning platting. It's currently sat in a wicker basket but for christmas I would love:

*A plant pot for it to go in. I'm finding it hard to find a nice pot in the right diameter that suits our decor. I've spotted one on the website that's perfect but pricey.
*a wattering can
*a large bottle of hydroculture food

I really don't want or need anything else. I'm good for devices, clothes beauty/hair products and gadgets.

cuthbertthecat · 28/10/2023 10:02

I have been thinking about this. I have a birthday in the next few weeks for which gifts have been purchased, I have a reward voucher at work I just can't use and I have dh threatening to just pick me something.

This is going to be a self indulgent/diamond shoes are too tight whinge btw.

I'd like to go to the theatre/a show but my dm and I are doing that for each other for birthday in November and dd wants a theatre trip for her birthday in Feb which I will take her to. There isn't anything I'm burning to see.

I want a new bag for work but I've been looking for 3 months and can't find what I want

I also want a new bag for day to day but cannot find one. Have asked on s&b here, pages of suggestions but nothing quite what I want

I want a couple of pieces of clothing but very specific and I can't find.

I have jewellery/make up/bath shit. I love it all but I don't need more. Same with books.

I loathe gardening/can't craft etc.

For once we have a bit of a budget (unexpected work bonus) and dh wants me to have a treat as well. God love him he'll try and find me stuff but often it's not quite right and would feel like a waste.

I’d love:

Prada Paradox perfume

Lego Bonsai tree

Sanctuary Spa shower oil

Garnier face masks

PhantomErik · 05/11/2023 09:52

My birthday is just before Christmas & I can never think of what I'd like so usually ask for face/body cream, slippers & treats.

Unfortunately my skin has become very sensitive so I'm only using vaseline as everything else sets it off & I have planter fasciitis so have crocs as slippers & they last really well, so don't need more.

It occurred to me I could ask for summery bits I'd use like a nice picnic blanket, some sunglasses & I need some new summer shoes (fitflops are perfect for my feet).

I also have ridiculously strong hayfever so can't have flowers in the house so a new bunch of good quality fake flowers would be nice. I'd like daffodils but can't find any good fakes.

The Lego Orchid would be a lovely surprise too.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 05/11/2023 10:01

I only have a couple of people who buy me presents, so I don't have a big list. A picture for my bedroom wall (already identified the picture, obviously!), some perfume, chocolates, fancy body oil. That's it. I prefer consumables, or decorative stuff for the house that I actually want (wouldn't like random ornaments or anything!).

DontCallMeBaby · 05/11/2023 10:22

Tiny Lego plants
Tartan suffragette scarf
Chanel Chance
Some niche spirits to enhance my cocktail trolley (no more gin)

But mainly a first Christmas without my mum that’s not completely unbearable.

EasterIssland · 05/11/2023 22:35

I don’t know 😭
I’ve jokingly told husband a plant that doesn’t die … maybe I need the Lego one 😂

Rainsdropskeepfalling · 05/11/2023 22:40

I'm buying myself 4 days at a yoga retreat for Xmas..and I'm not doing stockings this year as noone does one for me and I'm fed up.

I’d love that but I’m quite fuzzy with food so worried I’d not eat anything 😂

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 05/11/2023 22:46

I’d like Chanel Cristalle perfume, and a Monica Vinader initial necklace. My MIL always gets me the “selection box” of Molton Brown bath stuff and I am excited for that too.

Right now I would like the bastard fireworks to stop, and my poor cat to come out from under the sofa. 💔

HyggeTyggeDotCom · 08/11/2023 21:27

I don’t really get gifts as a solo parent, and usually buy something for myself for DD to ‘gift’ me on Christmas morning.

i would love
a new yoga mat,

pjs
a couple of nail polishes (Essie or opi)
some nice wine glasses
japanese hori hori knife
Eurostar vouchers if such things exist

ManchesterLu · 08/11/2023 21:49

I never want anything big for Christmas. I never, ever treat myself during the year, so things like books, smellies and chocolates are hugely appreciated. Just those little things that can make evenings special.

toddlermom9 · 09/11/2023 07:32

I'm going travelling around Asia in Jan so I'm asking for some small packing bits such as
• compression packing cubes, tripod etc
• spending money (my parents always give me money anyway tbh)

Never ever?!

Oh please do!

I wouldn't ever buy myself a box of chocs (although I might now I'm telling you to treat yourself!) but something nice in the bath and good books to read are life's simple pleasures aren't they?

I treated myself to Audible a few months ago and I absolutely LOVE being read a bedtime story Grin

Life can't have too much joy in it,can it?

PinkyDinkyDoodle · 09/11/2023 08:54

I buy all the Christmas presents, including my own. I'll be getting everything on my list.

Me too 🙂, it’s great that I get things I want/need. I have my eye on a book and have bought myself a oodie.

Pinkkisugarmouse · 09/11/2023 19:31

Well. I’m pretty sure I know what I’m getting now. DH and DD like to be absolutely sure.

From DH: Marine Conservative Charity hoodie and one those sleepmask/headphones gadgets

DH and I always treat ourselves to some hotel chocolat

From adult DD: A nice big thick blanket

My 2 cats: Not sure, maybe they have something in mind 😆

daffodilandtulip · 09/11/2023 20:01

Single parent so never get anything.

DS is on a school trip soon and asked if he could have some money to take. When I asked what he was thinking of buying, he went all coy and said maybe a present for someone. (Assuming he's not got a secret girlfriend, I'm hopeful this will be my year 🤣.)

thesnailandthewhale · 09/11/2023 20:20

Just a thought ... no-one seems to want a homemade hamper of hot chocolate sachets, a mug, a bar of Galaxy and a few other random bits from Home Bargains that are often suggested as something to make as a giftGrin

dreamcatchmee · 09/11/2023 20:24

Don't come at me but I would love some crocs with the fluff inside. They look so cosy and cute! 🙊

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/11/2023 10:37

@dreamcatchmee far be it from me to rain on your crocs parade 😁but.... I had a pair of these, and they were indeed lovely. But the fluffy insert fairly soon stopped fitting the croc, after washing, and it was not possible to replace the sock part separately. Might not still be the case, but worth considering.

Ashleysaidwhat · 10/11/2023 10:52

I have asked for

Voucher for Astrid and Miyu
A large candle from white company
Perfume
Ugg Tasman slippers
Cash from my DH

Between my DH and Family I will get all of the above. I'm very lucky and always grateful
