I got a toy gun and a tub of roses which was DP’s way of telling me that we are going to see Guns n’ Roses 🥰 Whoop!

I also got two pairs of sexy stockings and a dressing table that he built of Christmas Eve - he’s an excellent chap!

Haven’t opened my present from Mum and dad or MIL yet and my sister and I are going on a spa weekend

I’m lucky xx

I had a few home made gifts from a friend which I can put up around the house. They are really special because it would have took her a lot of time to make

PollyEsther · 26/12/2022 16:00

I am overwhelmingly grateful for what I've received this year.

DM and DF have paid for DH and I to have two nights together in a hotel near them, and they will have the DC for us so we can have some time alone.

DH has blown me away this year, he's been a bit hit and miss previously, but he's definitely a gift-choosing superstar these days. He gave me a spa voucher (to my favourite place), a voucher for a clothes website I love, new food flask for work, new coffee cup for work so I don't have to keep remembering the one I currently have, lego that I have wanted for a long time, my favourite drink, copious amounts of stationery... I am ridiculously blessed.

We've had many years now of being short of cash, and despite the current economic issues (which we are not entirely unaffected by), we are so much more comfortable now than we were when we first got together 15 years ago. I thank my lucky stars every day!

SnowAndIceLobelia · 26/12/2022 16:10

I specifically asked for nothing as DH went OTT for my birthday this year and I thought that would do. But he got me some Chanel No 5 and the Dcs got me some beautiful navy blue velvet gloves. So I am very pleased!

Calibrachoa · 26/12/2022 16:23

Lots of things I like such as scented candles, shower gels, bath bombs, cosy socks, a book, pretty tea towel, lovely wall calendar to enjoy all year. Sounds boring but all stuff I love

DelilahBucket · 26/12/2022 16:48

DH did extremely well this year with some new straighteners, a purse, a running jacket, some cosy socks, make up brushes and a new China mug for work (I broke my old one). DS got me a lovely diary for work, two closest friends got a me a personalised mug and a shopper bag, both of which are very me!

@LargeglassofRosePlease Did you have a peaceful nice time though? I had 3 presents - one of which I bought myself and shoved it under the tree as was something I would have liked & useful and saw it in a sale. One of which
was a sellotape dispenser as fed up of breaking my ( not very good nails ) - So not all presents are the most glamorous but hope you are not too downhearted. Here's 💐& 🍾& ☕to you. Poor Dh got 2 rubbish presents but he doesn't care about presents . I did get him a chocolate orange though.

I received a gorgeous dressing gown and some fluffy pink slippers. I also got the Alan Titchmarsh Gardener's Almanac which I am really pleased about.
The best gift of all which I have mentioned on another thread was that my family came, and they came again today, and there is promise of tomorrow too which is just bloody lovely !
