Have plans to make a gingerbread house and a party food tea, but other than that nothing. Hoping for some inspiration

It’s my darling FILs birthday and so we’ll be doing what we do every year, going to PIL house for the day, DHs brothers and their families will be there too so cousin chaos, then a candlelight carol service in our local church in the evening. It’s walkable from ours across the fields and firmly tradition now, we’ve been every year (minus covid obviously!) since I moved in with DH 7 years ago.

One of our cats woke up with her eye swollen shut so have vets at 10.15 (literally phoned at 8.30 and got the last appointment).
Presents to finish wrapping (just a few).
Just about to hang a wash out (dry and fine here and expected to get to 11 degrees yay).
Visitors en route from Chipping Norton (Chippy to those in the know 🤣).
This afternoon we’re singing in our Church Choir at 4pm and then back home for the Christmas Eve buffet to end all buffets plus games and our traditional Quiz of The Year (DD has prepped the questions this year).
This is my 6th sober Christmas (it’s got easier) so relieved I won’t get pissed and wake up like shite tomorrow.

Visiting my sisters grave to leave her a gift, then meeting a friend for a walk. I need to pick up a couple of cards whilst in town.

Then home, prep food for tomorrow and get ready for Mum arriving. This evening we will eat cheese and biscuits and drink champagne.
