[Christmastights]

Have plans to make a gingerbread house and a party food tea, but other than that nothing. Hoping for some inspiration

The whole family is volunteering at parkrun. Then may go and have a long walk with dh as it's his first day off. Will prep a few bits for Christmas lunch but tbh I'm very chilled about it. Just the 4 of us this year so very laid back and taking it as it comes 😊

Clean the house ready for the visitors. Go to the pub with friend while awaiting said visitors. Forget to cook because I have been in the pub. End up ordering a takeaway

We are going to my partners parents late morning- doing presents there and having a nice lunch, staying till dinner time or DD melts down which ever happens first! It's my DD first Christmas so opening presents will be special.

Will put the ham in the slow cooker first thing then we are making christmas cookies.

Long walk at local country park with play area to tire kids out
McDonald's drive through for late lunch on the way home,
Christmas kids film on, and Christmas crafts set up whilst we do the food prep (cook turkey etc)
Couple bits of buffet food,
Then bath and bed for kids then last bits of pre-xmas prep that can't be done whilst they are awake!

DP is taking DD to see his parents, I've opted out as I'm recovering from the supercold. I'm well enough though, just not very social, and very excited to have 5-6 hours to myself to get stuff done. Christmas stuff is mostly sorted, got to cook the red cabbage and a ham. Going to sort some stuff in the garden, chuck some stuff in the loft and wash my hair for the first time in 2 weeks.

Managing my hangover

Collecting turkey, opening Xmas eve boxes, housework, Zizzi for lunch then panto, tea, kids bath then relax with a gin

Walk and coffee with a friend in the morning. Gardening in the afternoon until it is too dark, loads of bulbs growing which need fallen leaves cleared away. DS and partner might come for a meal tomorrow evening.

Need to do some work on my tax return at some point too.

Gym in the morning. Crib service at 4. Midnight mass at 11.30.

Cooking in between.

The main food shop is coming in the morning. I'm planning to get up early and do the last few jobs around the house and then we're out for lunch. Anything that doesn't turn up in my delivery or I've forgotten we'll pick up on the way home then it's PJs time.

I'm going to cook the ham and a chicken tomorrow afternoon, so sandwiches, cheese/crackers etc. and trifle (might dream about that trifle tonight) for dinner.

We're out for lunch Christmas Day so no real good prep to do this year.

Weather permitting a walk locally. If it’s cold I have sloe gin to warm me up when I get back home again

Mainly cracking on with what's in DS' Xmas eve box. He has Xmas toys, crafts, a Christmas movie (animated Grinch this year) to watch and cookies to make for Santa. We'll also be making Christmas cake (just a victoria sponge) to take to DP's parents on Boxing Day as we won't get a chance on Xmas Day.

My brother and his gf are also popping in as they're going to her family for Xmas Day this year so will be doing a small present exchange then

took Dd to the doctors with strep today so I’m majestically behind with all the things. Tomorrow I’ll be making all the foodstuffs that should have been today and feeding dd antibiotics.

Trip to park with the children for a run around, back home to watch a Christmas movie after lunch. Then christingle service with carols. Maybe Christmas jigsaw puzzle. Possibly some food prep

Kids have an activity in the morning then home to do a last quick clean downstairs, see my brother & probably a quick present handover with my sister. Then shower, pjs, Prosecco & relax.

We are at center parcs this week. DD off to the gym at 8am then going swimming with DH in the morning whilst me and DS go and take some photos for his course. Then nothing until meal out followed by bowling.

If we were at home, we would probably all go for a nighttime walk round our town to see all the Christmas lights in people’s houses and watch a Christmas movie.

Packing as we go on holiday on Boxing Day

Hopefully up at 6am and finish setting up the guest bedroom. Do some final cleaning

then out to marks and Spencer for 8am to collect the food order and buy steaks for Boxing Day. Might treat myself to a book if Waterstones isn’t rammed.

Light lunch (must remember to buy soup!).

Luckily DC no longer wake up very early on Xmas Day and we don't need to be at MILs until 1 so I can stay up later doing all the wrapping. I never get it done until Xmas Eve even though I plan to every year!

Collect pork pie from butchers. Have coffee out.
Meet dh at local bar at 2.

The elf has brought a gingerbread house for the kids so we will be decorating that. I need to grab a few bits from the shop. We're going for a bike ride or walk on the beach. Watching Polar Express with the kids and Happy meal tea for them. When the kids are in bed we're eating Chinese food and watching National Lampoons while drinking baileys from my moose glass (if you know, you know).

I'm dropping eldest DD at work for 7am, baking a cake, assembling trifle, making stuffing & parboiling potatoes ready for Christmas meal, wrapping the presents and trying to get some laundry put away & another load washed. I aim to be done by 3pm so I can collapse with wine, tonights leftovers for dinner and a Christmas movie.

Disney on ice!!
