I know every year it gets slated by the ones who click on It to say how awful it is. But don't know if it would be genuinely insensitive?
I'm only asking because I finally have a proper huge fridge for the first time in years 😀

I'm getting a Sainsbury's order today with a fair amount of fridge food included. The majority is on Saturday though. I'm really not sure how it'll go in. 🤣🤣 (It always does though!)

MsChatterbox · 22/12/2022 09:37

Here's mine! My brother's bringing the beef joint and my mum is bringing the drinks and desserts hence lack of those. I'm excited 😋

Here is mine. Turkey joint with stuffing in the tin foil container at the top.

We are going to top our milk up with another two pints on Christmas Eve.

Just taken in my delivery, doesn’t look crazy as it is a dedicated Christmas fridge so all day to day stuff like milk, condiments etc are in our normal fridge. Also we are going out for Christmas Day lunch so no turkey to fit in :) it is mainly drinks, party food and cheese. The freezer has more party food in plus the pret chocolate croissants. Then there is a load of chocolate, biscuits, stollen etc that doesn’t need to be refrigerated.

Oh, everyone's fridge looks amazing. So neat and organised.
Here's mine. I tried to keep it neat but ran out of patience, plus I had to stuff things in at the back!
Drinks are keeping cold in the garage. The turkey and gammon for Christmas day are in a separate fridge drawer, along with ready made pigs in blankets. 😊

I’m too ill to do anything at all; feeling rough as! So absolutely nothing will be happening over the next few days. Except I’m going to roast a chicken today so we can have soup made from the leftovers. Made leek and potato soup yesterday as well. That’ll keep us going for a while.

But no tidying/rearranging of fridge, no last-minute clean to make sure it’s sparkling, no photos. Maybe when we feel better!

Hope each of you will enjoy your bountiful feasts, whether you’re alone, or two or three, or with friends/family/bigger groups. Have a very happy Christmas!🎄

TheGirlWhoLived · 22/12/2022 13:03

Mine seems to be quite a liquid Christmas 😂

@MisgenderedPaul that looks beautifully stuffed!

But why are the mince pies in there? I have those ones (6 packets Blush) piled in the cupboard.

MisgenderedPaul · 22/12/2022 16:00

I like mince pies cold, same as chocolate. And they are opened already 😲

Genuine question: why do people buy 3-4 bottles of milk? BewareTheBeardedDragon has 6 , are you all milk lovers ?? the shops are only closed for two days
I see a lot of waste here , unfortunately

I buy 20 pints a milk every week minimum for teenagers who eat bowls of cereal endlessly and me and DH who make our own flat whites.

There would be no milk waste in this house!

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 22/12/2022 16:59

Maybe I'll have to try cold mince pies! My first packet is also opened.. they are good Xmas Grin

PollyEsther · 22/12/2022 17:01

Ours doesn’t look hugely exciting, but that’s because you can’t see how awesome the M&S party food we have is! We’re having steak rather than turkey this year, which takes up significantly less space than a bird!

Here’s my ( slightly collapsed) fridge we don’t eat meat so no Turkey but I don’t think we’ll starve 🤣 Merry Christmas everyone!

Well my Christmas fridge is delayed because of fucking Asda - no email, order due an hour ago, 10 min before delivery due they made every single item in my order ‘unavailable’!

Money is pending in my account and will take 3-5 working days to go back in, thankfully I can still buy the food again but what if I wasn’t financially able to do that, apparently they have had lots of problems today!

MediocreAtBest · 22/12/2022 17:49

Oh no, that's bad MrsWhites. Asda are rubbish.

ChristmasLightsLover · 22/12/2022 18:03

Here's my fridge. Drinks are in an outdoor fridge freezer. No turkey - we are having beef. Tesco sent several small joints instead of the big one we ordered! Bacon is for Christmas and Boxing Day breakfast.

My first ham in Coca Cola is already cooking as God daughter has requested it for her Christmas lunch alongside her veggie family!

Veggies are in drawers in the bottom of the fridge. Cauliflower cheese is in the freezer. Making Jamie Oliver gravy tomorrow and will freeze it.

Thank you for this thread. It has brought me great joy Smile

P.S. We too have teenagers who seem to need to eat every 60 minutes so our milk will need replenishing before Christmas day!

IhearyouClemFandango · 22/12/2022 18:11

Here's our main fridge freezer. Fridge but not massively full (apart from the milkman delivering a whole week's worth of milk 🤦‍♂️) as lots made in advance and in freezer.

There is also another small freezer elsewhere that would make a very dull photo.

plus our half finished utility room that is housing drinks at the mo.

Love this thread and everyone's pictures! Here's my fridge. Still need to pick up the turkey, salmon and pork joint, which will have to go into the fridge freezer in the garage.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 22/12/2022 18:48

I'm quietly envying your copious egg supply @ChristmasLightsLover - I haven't been able to get any and though I have some in, I may have to curb my Xmas baking plans as a result.

That is a beautiful fridge @whiteorchids44. Love the box of tomatoes!

Flyinggeesei234 · 22/12/2022 18:54

I’ve noticed a few with potatoes in the fridge - do they keep longer that way? I’ve never refrigerated spuds but have been thinking recently about how they don’t seem to keep as long as they used to. Would the fridge help?

Those who refigerate spuds? Why? TIA.

😱😱😱 that's shocking!

Booze stored separately in the utility room! More meat and other nibbles in the freezer.
