Thread 9 - the one with stocking fingers

@6poundshower thanks for the title. A stocking finger sounds far too small to fit many bargains in though! 🤣

Apologies for belatedly setting this up - was at a primary tour for potential school for ds and then working. Pesky RL! Hope you can all find me.

I should say I got 50% off kits on the spinner so here's my code if anyone wants to use it. LCPU01550

LemonFrosting · 04/11/2022 10:53

Tempted by the kidly rainbow for my four year old to use as bridges for his cars and trains!

MsMiaWallace · 04/11/2022 10:56

With Hotel Chocolat do we think the offer is better with QVC or with the discount codes from HC?

LindseyHoyleSpeaks · 04/11/2022 10:57

Has anyone seen any good advent calendars for a 12yo girl? Nail varnish or something like that? Perhaps arts/crafts? Other DC are easy and Lego is fine. Many thanks.

LemonFrosting · 04/11/2022 10:58

Playmobil website 25% off advent calendars

redjoker · 04/11/2022 11:06

Ocado have
Save 25% off £60 on your first order + unlimited free deliveries for 3 months. Enter VOU6855304 at checkout. Offer ends 16/12/22.

But they have tons of M&S gifts on there, wrapping papper etc

LunaCrystal · 04/11/2022 11:09

@CatOfTheLand Thank you for the Gruffalo Calendar tip. We already have the Princess one for dd, but for that price she can have 2 😂

I feel like buying another anyway and donating it to someone because it's such a bargain!

LunaCrystal · 04/11/2022 11:27

@CatOfTheLand Yes I’m tempted to do that also, I just don’t know who 😂

I got a really lovely bomb cosmetics bath stuff one for myself from Amazon when they were cheap.

Works for me because I wanted soap and bath stuff for Christmas anyway

LindseyHoyleSpeaks · 04/11/2022 11:34

@CatOfTheLand - thanks! Will have a look!

Yeknom · 04/11/2022 11:35

Morning all! No bargains, but just after some advice...DD is after a Smart Watch, shes 8 but with really tiny wrists. I've been looking at the Garmin vivofit Jr 2 as it looks a lot less clunky than the vtech one for example. Does anyone own this and have a review? Or any other recommendations, feel a bit lost!

LayTheTableMabel · 04/11/2022 11:38

@Chocolateteabag is your TU code still available??? Would be very handy & used quickly too 😁

redjoker · 04/11/2022 11:40

@Yeknom Very interested in this, my DS is 5 and hes very worried the Vtech will be 'too sticky outty' hes very invested in it having games, have you seen the vívofit® jr. 3 – Garmin is on offer?

Yeknom · 04/11/2022 11:47

@redjoker - yes! I think 'games' are the selling point here too! I did see the garmin vivofit jr 3 but it looked physically bigger than the 2. I wonder if somewhere like Curry's stock them so I can go and compare?

LayTheTableMabel · 04/11/2022 11:50

Thank you OP just ordered smashed grapes. Just going to try to change delivery now but I think they are out until late Nov now anyway (across all kits)

ColeslawSandwich · 04/11/2022 12:17

@LindseyHoyleSpeaks i got this one for my DD. W7 Beauty Blast Advent Calendar... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09RKF8DQK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share LINK

psuedocream3 · 04/11/2022 12:18

A few thanks here, received my Urban Outfitters order yesterday with 30% off, very happy with it. Just ordered a couple of the wine kits form smashed grapes, went through paypal as never heard of them but if they do arrive then it's a few nice little extras. And my HoF Heely's have been dispatched too.

Also the Kinder free photobook I can confirm are completely free, but a little faffing to do them, there is no Kinder logo, it's just a standard photobox one as normal. No delivery charge.

Thank you for this! Also if you add more than one to your basket they are even cheaper. I got two for £16 with free delivery 😁

LindseyHoyleSpeaks · 04/11/2022 12:21

@ColeslawSandwich - thanks!

mumonthehill · 04/11/2022 12:22

Oh thanks for the smashed grapes, site was a bit slow but got delivery for 22 December and a great gift for DH!

redjoker · 04/11/2022 12:32

FRCW56842Z

I just used this, the whole kit for 3.99 delivery, a fantastic gift, amazing!

Although I think we are killing their website lol

Notherereally1 · 04/11/2022 12:51

Am I a little insane to buy an air up bottle? DD has asked for 1 but it's very expensive for a water bottle. Has anyone any experience of them? I've got a 15% discount code that needs to be used by today.

polmnlj · 04/11/2022 12:53

@Notherereally1 dd tried her friends one and liked it but she is not going to get one. I bought her regular water bottle with theme she likes.

I got my kids one, they were all new fangled with the pods for a few weeks but now they're just used as a normal water bottle. A bit if a fad to be honest and they're larger than the regular bottles for fitting in school bags etc. Probably a nice gift if she specifically wants one but nothing that overly special after the novelty wears off.
