@6poundshower thanks for the title. A stocking finger sounds far too small to fit many bargains in though! 🤣

Apologies for belatedly setting this up - was at a primary tour for potential school for ds and then working. Pesky RL! Hope you can all find me.

I need ideas for a turning 4 year old girl who likes Disney and amazing spidey, but not lego. I'm stumped lol, my girl is still a baby... Never been to her home to find clues

I second the suggestion of my busy books! My dds loved them at that age. Or the disney shop used to do mini animator sets in a case with a little doll and accessories.

Or at 4 we starting playing board games. Mine liked orchard toys ones - tummy ache and shopping list. But we also had a disney snakes and ladders which was a firm favourite too! And monopoly junior, I think there might be a disney or marvel themed one 🤔. Dobble would be another good one, they have junior editions too.

Also cuddly toys were very popular with my girls at that age. They used to love tea parties with them so maybe with a little China tea set if it's within budget!

Who was looking for dairy free coins? Are these in Asda any use?

It was me. I brought some in Tesco a couple of weeks ago but thanks for remembering

@Puffalicious What does he normally get you guys can I ask? ( on the basis people get other people the type of gifts they would like).

A very, very good point! My sister does ALL the gift finding (she loves shopping and is very good at it!).

Puffalicious · 05/11/2022 22:38

lightisnotwhite · 05/11/2022 21:06

@Puffalicious He must do/like something!

I’ve had success with out of season stuff. Benches and recliners for the garden that are hard to find when the weather get hotter. Nice if he is a sun lover.
Voucher for a haircut and shave.
Better or different versions of something he has already ( always recommended for men).
Something to make like the fancy wooden marble runs - could build it with you DS.

Some great suggestions. The voucher thing sounds good - not the hair cut thing, he gone to the same barber for about 30 years 🙈- but perhaps a car experience. A better version of something he's already got sounds very sensible and true. I shall get my thinking hat on.

Anyone got a JD discount code I could use by any chance 🙏🏻

Does anybody know how much the barbie spaceship is in sainsburys?

Barbie has a spaceship?? 😱😱🤯

PeppaPigWorld · 05/11/2022 23:28

Not particularly Christmassy, but I've just stocked up on cards from Whistlefish. They do some really nice ones and currently you can buy 12 for £10. I saw it mentioned on here in a previous year and found it a much cheaper way of buying cards (esp as dc have so many parties to go to!)
Postage is a little steep at £3.99 but Welcome20 gives you 20% off your order.

TheHappiestChristmasTree · 05/11/2022 23:37

@psuedocream3 this one is Tu @ sainsburys, only £22 and says it has wool in it

Has anyone used Woolovers before, I haven't heard of them but my husband has just requested a jumper, and the nicest one I can find is there. Is the quality good, any codes?

Not bad. I've had a couple of jumpers from there. You can usually get a discount code as well.

Puffalicious · 06/11/2022 00:08

I'm sitting here raging! I've been loving all the bargains I've managed to get from this thread- superb as always- yet have had to shell out over £250 for an outdoor jacket for DH, with NO discount code/ percent off/ TCB anywhere in sight! Argh! I'm so used to a bargain that full price makes me jittery.🙈

Sheknowtheyrhinestones · 06/11/2022 00:13

Does costco do money off codes? I've got something 200+ in basket and can't bring myself to pay full price. They aren't on tcb. From a Google search it seems they did a black Friday code last year. I usually shop in warehouse so online is new

thaegumathteth · 06/11/2022 00:58

Can any of you help? I got one of the mini waffle makers from the last thread for one dn (12). It was only £7 but looks more. I need to get something that looks equivalent for her sister (10). Any ideas? She's not into make up or art or anything. Main interests are animals I think ( we don't live nearby)

buckeejit · 06/11/2022 01:14

Does anyone know of anywhere better than Amazon to look for board games? Or wait for Black Friday?

I'd like to buy one each for dc-9&13 & request one for myself. I like the sound of wingspan.

Also if there's any great games in small packages/boxes, that would be fab to know as space is limited

Last year argos did a promotion on board games as I managed to get 3.
I think it was actually after Black Friday and in December in the run up to Christmas.

I think it was something like 20% off but can't remember if it had to be a total spend over a certain amount... your needs would cover it though I'm sure.

Theraffarian · 06/11/2022 05:25

Ok beauty box has a vip Black Friday advance sign up , might be worth it after the last box we got Here

Theraffarian · 06/11/2022 05:28

Also driving me crazy , I have a large order to place at Savers online ( well £40ish ! ) and not only can I not find a code , they seem to charge £4 delivery and I can’t even see a space to enter a discount code on checkout. Do they never do offers 😔 might have to just take the 2% topcashback , but was hoping for a little more off.

This seems like a good deal on Clinique advent calendar if you use their stuff anyway - £66 and seems to be much more expensive elsewhere

Tu at Sainsburys sell lovely Disney costumes for about £15 if that’s in budget?

Blessedbethefruitz · 06/11/2022 07:25

Those busy books look amazing, thanks so much!! Never would have thought of that!

ikeawardrobe · 06/11/2022 07:45

I’m looking to spend about £15 on a 16 year old girl if anyone has suggestions? She had a voucher for her birthday in August and last Christmas was make up so trying to get something different.

CarrotCarrotCucumber · 06/11/2022 07:48

@PinkPanther27 What about Upcircle? They make luxury face products using upcycled “waste” from agriculture, in refillable packaging with minimal plastic. I am obsessed with their serum from coffee grounds and going to try the raspberry seed spf next summer. There are discounts for key workers and also a referral code £10: I’ll put mine on the referral thread.

MulticolourTriangles · 06/11/2022 07:49

Can anyone recommend an electric milk frother whisk? Was going to purchase the Bodum one from Amazon as it’s on offer but the reviews aren’t the best so wondered if there was a better one out there!

fearfeardiarrhoea · 06/11/2022 08:12

On the look out for a wireless Xbox one controller. Price trackers say they sometimes drop to £30 odd but all currently £55. Is Black Friday my best bet?
