I can never usually think of anything nice to get off DH (who always asks what I want and I can never usually think of anything). What's everyone asking for this year? x

I honestly struggling to think of anything. I don't need anymore stuff. Am on a mission to declutter the house of tut...

If pressed:

a big box of Tunnock's teacakes all to myself

Cashmere bed socks
a place on a workshop/online course on visible mending/sashiko mending etc. And a bunch of mending supplies - threads, weaving looms and the like.

Molton Brown shower/bath gel

Morrisons sell Kimberley biscuits

Whaaaat??! That’s blown my mind! I need to go there asap!

Lsquiggles · 09/09/2022 15:31

I'm due baby number 2 in January so a whole day to myself before baby arrives sounds like the perfect gift to me 😅

MammaWeasel · 09/09/2022 20:12

A silk pillowcase.

Devo1818 · 09/09/2022 20:30

I want one of those ancestry dna kits

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 09/09/2022 21:32

@OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea
Where do you get your cocoa butter bath melts from? These sound perfect for me!

I'd like a watercolour sketchbook from Moleskine

Some yoga blocks and belt

Set of Tefal Ingenio Elegance Pots and Pans

Folklore and Superstition Map

I've been learning about Crystals and I've got a little list of some I'd like

Meat Free Mexican cookbook by Thomasina Miers

Liz Earle facial serum

A gift voucher for Cambridge Imprint or The Journal Shop

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 10/09/2022 14:06

I got some bath melt pieces from Peace with the wild. They are very nice.

If you like folk tales (love the map idea) have you read Storyland by Amy Jeffs?

Brogues · 10/09/2022 15:48

£15 off velvetiser starter kit with code VELVKIT15OFF

Brogues · 10/09/2022 15:49

Sorry wrong Christmas thread 😬

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 10/09/2022 16:59

Thank you @OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea Storyland looks great for me too! Very intriguing!

QueenWenceslas · 15/09/2022 22:50

I’m asking for a GHD rise hot brush this year, wanted one for ages

Mydogatemypurse · 26/09/2022 04:22

I'd like some of the ordinary skincare and... boring but I always enjoy getting nice candles. Sainsbury's have some nice ones, I might point my eldest in that direction and drop a hint for some toblereone too.

mam0918 · 26/09/2022 12:24

I bought the handbag but it got damaged in shipping so not that now.

I have bought myself 2 body scrubs from Royal Essence, the ones with the mystery jewellery in so I kind of know what Im getting but its a suprise too.

I bought myself a new silky night gown aswell.

Thelifeofawife · 26/09/2022 14:39

@MissyB1 most supermarkets sell Kimberly biscuits (I love them and also quite partial to the jam mallows). They are usually on the “world foods” aisle x

Thelifeofawife · 26/09/2022 14:46

Mine is always perfume, PJ’s and nice notebooks for work.
Then either a coat or some jewellery.

I’m thinking of getting my teenage DS a velvetiser this year, which is something I would also use 😉

Nicer than usual shower stuff.

L'Occident Almond Shower Oil

The large 500ml pump one lasts almost all year with occasional use from other shower stuff

Extraordinarily expensive body oil which make my skin feel really lovely (though I say it myself )

www.cosmeticsalacarte.com/overnight-renew-body-oil.html

I don't usually go for branded body lotion but this smells divine and works really well. Only one I know that I can still feel the next day.

bagginses · 26/09/2022 20:24

I really would like a ukulele this year. And a silk pillowcase in the vague hope it helps in any way.

Chevyimpala67 · 26/09/2022 20:30

I'd love a few 1 on 1 yoga teacher sessions...

No idea if that's even a thing!

Absolutely.

121 yoga classes are absolutely a thing. My yoga teacher stopped doing group classes (even though they are a lot more lucrative than private's) because she could see people in the group not using good alignment and without being able to give immediate corrections. As a student, the best time to have your attention drawn to the difference between the right and wrong way of doing something is in the moment when you are doing it.

Most teachers who give group lessons will also give privates.

Only downside is that it is very difficult to go back to group classes once you have tried privates.

@Chevyimpala67

Sorry to go on a bit 😀

MuddlingThroughLife · 26/09/2022 21:59

I would like:

A new address book
Pj's
Fluffy cat paw socks
Slippers
Chunky knit blanket
Small pair of silver hoop earrings
Oversized hoodie
Silver shampoo
Amazon voucher to buy kindle books

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Ah!..interesting
How much are they on average per hour?

GettingStuffed · 27/09/2022 10:11

2 perfumes, by the fireplace which is a smoky, woody smell with a hint of vanilla and flowerbomb

Some books

Shufflebumnessie · 27/09/2022 12:42

I'd like another layer for the Stackers jewellery box that I was given last Christmas.
