Much less than a conventional oven. It cooks faster and heats up a much smaller volume, so it can save a lot of energy.

It sounds like a sensible purchase then with the stupid energy prices.

Can I ask about squashy kind of squeezey marshmallowy toys? My 4 year old picked one up in a gift shop today and I employed the whole let's ask Father Christmas for one (I use this all year around to avoid buying expensive tat but especially from July onwards when I start thinking of stocking fillers!).
Any idea? Was like a squishy ball but not a ball iyswim.

Someaddedsugar · 10/07/2022 19:23

@Myleakycauldron if it's the Squishmallows they're usually on one of the Aldi special deals pre-Christmas. A lovely poster on the bargain thread managed to find me one last year and DS was over the moon!

Tinyme have got their 'letter of the day' offer back. Every day they pick a letter and offer 36 name labels for letters starting with that letter for just the postage cost of £3.
Today's letter is T.
The labels are really good and I've been using them for DD.

Isonthecase · 11/07/2022 10:27

@Cuwins they also sell them in our local Tesco, usually about £6 for a medium sized one. I'd suggest getting the one you want when you see it if you have any preference rather than waiting for a deal as the stock can be variable and it's about the same price as the offers elsewhere anyway. Hamleys also have some on offer, they're calling them Ty squish a boos.

Have you got a link to this please as the home page isn't coming up with anything?

I didn't want one. I was linking for someone else who asked. But thanks

PinkDaydreams · 11/07/2022 10:43

Is there an amazon prime thread or do posters just post on here? I can't remember!

mac1974 · 11/07/2022 11:57

Those huggable animals on hamleys look lovely. My 8yo absolutely loves her "snugglies". Just not sure which one to get her.

My 13 year old wants a drawing tablet for her birthday, the ones with a screen and pen. Has anyone got any recommendations and/or seen any deals, I'm out of my depth looking at them! Thanks

Totally in love with my air fryer 🥰 we've had it about six weeks and I've used my oven twice. We do have the 9.5l dual ninja which wasn't cheap despite a discount at the time but I can see it saving £££ on not preheating the oven and reducing cooking time. We're also about to become a family of five so was an investment for space. Everything is cooked in half the time atleast and crisps SO much better. Kids food e.g. chips, wedges, frozen corn on the cob, fish fingers, sausages etc all chucked in and done in less that 8 minutes, no preheating. I brought an air fryer cook book on Amazon a few weeks ago which was good for ideas for more exciting things otherwise no gadgets needed. It's still half price

This is the one I really want - decided it makes the most sense for us as a family. Random question but do you think you could fit a quiche in one side? The only things I can see needing the oven for in future would be bigger things like quiche or pizza.

Purpleheadgirl · 11/07/2022 20:05

@ClaraLane Don't know about the dual but the ninja 14 and 15s will take a quiche. Can make full soze cakes and a full chicken will go in. They pressure cook, steam, saute, air fry amd several other things that I haven't quite worked out :)

EverydayIsPJday · 11/07/2022 20:26

Here you go @ClaraLane 🤣 it was the first thing we cooked and I pretty much burnt it! They cook in no time (I was excited so sent a pic to mum 😂) The other side I did potato cubes with garlic and herbs 😁 I love it because it has a sync function which makes sure both drawers finish at the same time (even if you open one to shake) or a match function which cooks both drawers to the same temp/time.
