What age do you think a switch is good for? DS will be 5, nearly 6 come Christmas and I am tempted but should I hold off til he's older?

A 6yo can easily work a switch, but personally I’d hold off as long as possible. Our DD asked for one for 3 years before we finally let her have one last Xmas when she was almost 10.

In sainsburys although they wouldn't scan. The Customer services guy said they might have been put out too early but he scanned them through cheaply for me bless him

Sainsbury’s instore had a few good toy reductions, including Zuru Dino attack Exctinct (nerf style) gun sets reduced to £3.32.

If anyone is in Ireland there are some really great deals on dollhouses in argos right now, around €20 each from €80 (unfortunately the same one are over £50 in the UK still though).

@TeddyTonks we bought my DS8 one for his 8th birthday but my four year old is obsessed with it, he can easily set it up and play on it, I just set time limits to 2 hours every Saturday and Sunday as I don’t want them having too much screen time. I bought it in Tesco for £219

Just noticed John Lewis have some good reduce to clear deals on some of their wooden play toys (kitchen, dolls house etc)

In my local Aldi today they had a selection of the That's Not My books for £1.99 each. I bought 4. Will be perfect for my 8 month old, will be 14 months at Christmas. Will probably wrap a couple up for her birthday too.

Not real gold! Just gold coloured 😆 It was in the NOTHS sale for about £4.50. And the Joules bath fizzers were about £2.50 from their ebay outlet (little pack of 4 in what looks like an egg box). Honestly the whole gift comes to under £10. I think the card I am getting DS to make will still be their favourite bit though - it would be if I was a teacher.

Really recommend them- great quality for the price. I nearly always buy something from them so thanks for pointing out the sale- have brought my sister some pjs, DD socks for her stocking and bf PJs too.
