Woo hoo paragraphs!

It's so warm and sunny here, I've got online uni today so can have lunch outside which will be nice. Have to take wreckcat to the vets later for his imms.

CrazyBaubles · 18/05/2022 06:45

221 Morning. Ddog woke me at 5:45 and I've not been able to get back to sleep 🥱 and it's now bloody boiling in the bedroom so I'm downstairs vegging waiting for DH to get up.

WreckTangled · 18/05/2022 06:47

Morning! I'm in the gym. Dh messaged me to say dd is in tears as she had her train tracks tightened yesterday. I said double dose with paracetamol and ibuprofen and get ready for school Grin if it's still bad when I get home I guess she will have to stay home. I need more fuel again (put £50 in less than a week ago). Have to do another 300 miles this week and only have 150 left in the tank. Will have to take money from savings to pay for it.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/05/2022 13:46

Afternoon!

I hope your DD is OK now, Wreck. Having braces tightened is awful! And 😱😱 re fuel. Awful, isn't it?

I spent last night unpicking sodding cross stitch as I'd added an extra stitch and I couldn't leave it (even though it was technically adaptable), 'cause my brain is a dickhead!

Crazy, my stupid alarm on my fake Fitbit went off at 5.45 even though it was turned off. I set it last Weds for my trip to work. I could've cried!

WreckTangled · 18/05/2022 15:03

She's not a happy bunny. Poor thing.

I've just hung my washing out and now I can smell bonfire. Twats.

CrazyBaubles · 19/05/2022 00:48

220 I haven't been to sleep yet. I'm home alone (DH on a residential) and I always struggle to sleep the first night I'm home alone.
I've used the time to finish my parents cross stitch Christmas card and despite making a few mistakes (I've randomly added some stitches so he's a bit fatter than he should be 😂) I think he's very cute.

Wreck I hope your DD is ok.
Also, the fuel costs (along with anything else) going up is just ridiculous isn't it.

Fluffy I'd definitely cry if an alarm went off randomly.
A few weeks ago DHs arm was under my head when his smart watch alarm went off. I discovered I do not like being woken by a random vibration in my ear - I jumped a mile and was a complete cow a bit sharp in telling him to turn it off!
I much prefer my alarm that wakes me with the radio with the volume on low and gradually increasing if I don't turn it off.

Sleep now - ddog is snoring his head off and my eyes are getting heavy.

CrazyBaubles · 19/05/2022 00:49

Oops I meant to post a x stitch pic Blush

WreckTangled · 19/05/2022 06:19

We all got worked up the other morning before six by someone's phone vibrating. It must have been next door as it wasn't us. It went on for ages.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/05/2022 08:18

We used to have that with the house next door, Wreck. Thankfully not here!

Crazy, I admire you in that you can build mistakes in. My stupid brain won't let me! He's very cute!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 19/05/2022 15:28

Beautiful afternoon here. We've just finished topping up the 🥔 they're growing really quickly with the warm and damp weather and the sacks won't take any more compost.
Crazy that's a very sweet chubby robin. 😻

NoWordForFluffy · 19/05/2022 20:26

I reckon my spuds will be twinned with triffids when I'm next at the allotment! 🤣🤣 I've only got enough earth left for one more covering.

All bloody 6 courgettes have come up now. And my third pumpkin is on the way too. I sowed an extra pumpkin and three extra courgette and they have all germinated now. Sigh. If I hadn't, none would've come up!

I'm now back where I was before I corrected my cross stitch. I shall carry on now!

Fluffy my attitude to cross stitch mistakes comes from laziness really - I really couldn’t be bothered to go back and unpick my mistakes Blush

puss the one grow bag thing is full here too but all my other plants seem to be struggling after starting strong.

One set of spuds are only halfway full, the green tops I saw from my carrots are disappearing and I think I’ve been overwatering my sunflowers because the newest leaves are going limp and yellow plus I’m not sure if they’re in big enough pots 😩
Saturday will be spent trying to sort them all out.

Morning!

I've woken with a bad headache. Think it's hayfever related. 😟

I don't think we have any plans this weekend. Might be nice to get out and about though. Shall have to see!

Crazy, I really want to be lazy, my brain just won't let me. It's stupid. I procrastinate for ages about leaving it. Then fix it. 🙄

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 20/05/2022 08:07

Morning everyone. I am sat on the sofa with a cuppa, gradually motivating myself to clean the house. I can confirm it is extremely gradually as well.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 20/05/2022 08:31

It's DH birthday today...he woke me up at stupid o'clock (half past 2) to announce he was officially retired. Cheers, mate 😡 I made him a cuppa and he went back to sleep...needless to say I didn't. I did get to watch an interesting programme about Biddulph Gardens at 4.30...and one of the cats has barfed 😿 he's ok now - he's just bitten DH toe. 😹
UPDATE he's just clawed DH knee too.
🤣🤣

It's going to be a very very long day until HIGNFY 🥱

DreamingofItaly2023 · 20/05/2022 08:36

Morning all :)

love the card crazy!

DS didn’t wake until 07:30 this morning so bit of a rushed morning routine, currently waiting for the school taxi in my PJs.

happy birthday to your DH cat 🎂

CrazyBaubles · 20/05/2022 13:17

No weekend plans here either Fluffy (aside from the attempted rescue of my plants).

Happy Birthday to Mr Puss 🥳

Thanks dreaming. When is your Italy trip?
EasyJet released some of their Spring 23 flights yesterday so we've booked Pisa for next Easter break while they're cheap (£150 total - bargain)!

I'm just back from giving my blood. Got a personal best (I think) at 6mins 4 seconds 🏅

WreckTangled · 20/05/2022 16:18

I can confirm that the M&S jubilee edition yumnut is amazing.

I woke up at 4:30 this morning so am pretty tired. We've got DD's school production tonight so I can't even put y pjs on which is what I want to do right now...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/05/2022 18:05

Happy Birthday Mrpuss Xmas Grin

One of my cats went awol most of yesterday ( he was upset because a Random Man - came to measure up- came into his house , so he flounced ) . Eventually rolled in at 7pm which isn't like him , but he doesn't adapt well to change .

I saw a pile of feathers in the garden ( thankfully no blood/bits of flesh) don't know if one of our moggies was responsible but he was very pleased .

Jubilee Yumnuts you say , Wreck <plans M&S trip>

TheWoollybacksWife · 20/05/2022 19:53

Happy birthday MrPuss

I'm now enjoying a very strong drink after being a responsible adult all week while DH was away on a work trip. DS has exams this week too so I drove him to school every day 😇

Gorgeous card Crazy

I'm knitting a tea cosy. It seems to be my "thing"

Fluffy have you tried Redactle? Today's was a good one but some of them are very, very hard.

I filled up with petrol at lunchtime. My range on my car said I had 350 miles of fuel. 3 miles down the road I had apparently used 15 miles worth 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think it's the E10 fuel though as my car is not yet 3 years old. I have found a solution though - I've changed the display on my dashboard to the compass rather than the fuel usage. It's still guzzling petrol but I can't see it happening 😂

pussycatlickinglollyices · 21/05/2022 06:27

Morning. Thanks for all the birthday wishes for DH. I bought him a new shaver, a couple of Richard Osman books and paid the deposit for the new garage door.
Before you say "That's not very romantic" he bought me a new CH boiler for my birthday...
and didn't get anything for our WA, even though I got him a Dyson
🤣

WreckTangled · 21/05/2022 06:35

I never get anything romantic from dh. It actually really annoys me. He always asks me what I want and if I say 'surprise me' he tells me he's rubbish at things like that/can't afford it/didn't have time. We've been together for....over 15 years and he's never once surprised me with anything ever. Not even taking me out for dinner.

Anyway. He's working today. I need to do washing and housework, looks cloudy but warm. Also need to do some uni work.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/05/2022 07:20

Happy birthday for yesterday, Mr Puss!

Your presents sound like the type we get each other, Puss! Thankfully neither of us are romantic, so it's fine. 🤣

I have woken with another headache. I had a hint it may be hormonal last night, but we shall see!

Morning all. Bad night’s sleep all round here :(

so exciting about Pisa crazy! We don’t have anything booked yet but we are going by train. Plan is to do the route through the alps on the way there and sleeper train on way back. Will make the journey part of the holiday with stopovers in nice places. Eurostar don’t release very far in advance so can’t book for a while.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/05/2022 10:31

Oh, forgot to answer Woolly. No, I've not done Redactle. I looked after you mentioned it and it looks bonkers! 😱

I'll stick to Wordle, I think.
